  1. No, it's not: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mutual_assured_destruction
  2. Just to add further clarity, it's true that if it reaches the stage that we have to launch a nuke then we're probably dead anyway. The whole idea is that no one launches any due to the concept of MAD that I explained in my last post, but that only works if there is at least the pretence of us retaliating.
  3. Well of course the idea behind the nuclear deterrent is that it stops us getting nuked because the enemy would know that they're going to get flattened too - a concept that seems lost on a lot of the internet. Saying that you'd never use the nukes we have removes that deterrent which is why Corbyn gets slammed so much over it. I don't think many supporters of the nuclear deterrent truly relish a nuclear war.
  4. I've never heard that... I'd be surprised if it's possible to consciously get your head out of the way if the car rolls. I'm pretty sure most people would be too busy crapping their pants
  5. Protesting because the government does something you don't like is fair enough, especially if they didn't say they would do it before or said they'd do something different. Protesting because you didn't get the result you wanted in an election or referendum is pointless, unless I guess if the protest is literally against democracy.
  6. The fact that they won't (in theory) get voted for.
  7. Well prepare to be disappointed Jetpilot if the Tories win
  8. Yep, people blaming the NHS situation on the Tories are just scapegoating. Sure, Labour would probably throw more money at it, but if the money isn't really ours to throw then it's only making the situation worse in the long term.
  9. FYI, you need harnesses to use a HANS.
  10. Yeah fair enough - I was just pointing out its shortcomings. TBH I don't trust people or believe in politics much anyway, so what do I care?
  11. I don't attach much significance to it. Sounding confident under pressure isn't the preserve of people who know what they're doing - it's also no.1 on the list of essential skills for blagging your way through life.
  12. Mark explained that above...
  13. All the talk re Brexit at the mo is only that, i.e. talk. Both sides have to take a hard stance and avoid playing their hand too early. If May came out and said that we needed a deal, the EU would just bend her over (metaphorically of course... I hope).
  14. I bit my tongue when you said you wanted to go to an Ariana Grande concert as that thread wasn't the time or place, but seriously man you are a worry
  15. Another happy customer here... thanks for the great tune Mark 19 extra HP, good and consistent throttle response (cured the hesitation) and very amusing pops and bangs on the overrun Unfortunately Mark is now so good at these that he finished before I could get back to shoot a video...
  16. RIP. Always preferred him to Connery as Bond, much to the disgust of the rest of my family
  17. This is great work - I wish I was handy enough to take on jobs like this myself, but alas...
  18. Welcome. Defo a good moment when you buy a zed
  19. Nasty pics to look at for any petrolhead. As others have said, hopefully no one hurt and insurance will cover the damage.
  20. Hmm... so they require different treatment to carpet stains?
  21. I am at the end of the month. Enjoy
  22. Go with the GT-R - far more special than a Mustang
