  1. Welcome along. Drop Alex a PM and I'm sure he'll sort you out. If you think the headlights will be expensive, the LMGT4s ain't gonna be cheap either FYI the facelift cars have the Rev Up engine... UpRev is tuning software for remapping. Enjoy!

Okay, I'm not sure how you 'calculated' the offset... it's a measurement of the wheel so you either need to know the spec beforehand or measure it (which I don't think would be easy unless there's a good method that I don't know of). Anyway, the potential downsides are tyre to arch contact and handling / ride and tyre wear issues due to dodgy geometry. I'd personally remove them which isn't difficult. I'd imagine that they're around 20mm, so if the rim is sticking out by around that much then you should be sorted (pretty sure you won't have brake / suspension clearance issues but of course be aware of that when you put the wheel back on).

What width / offset are the new rims? As long as you need the rims to move in by less than the size of the spacer all you need is a smaller spacer or maybe remove it completely to move the rims back where you want them.

So is the only difference the new tyres, or did you fit the spacers at the same time? A bit more detail would be helpful.
  5. That's a personal thing - some people will naturally end up asking the question of why we're here, some won't. Lucky you if you never do
  6. Yes, by gifted I simply mean being born with the attributes necessary to achieve whatever it is that the person in question achieves. Of course it includes physical attributes (no amount of training and PEDs will make me run 100m like Usain Bolt) and the necessary intelligence (some people's brains are more powerful than others), but also the other mental attributes to achieve that potential, i.e. good application. I would also include being born into the right circumstances, i.e. born into a family that gives you the right opportunities, has enough money etc. If the question is who or what decides how these gifts are dished out to the newborns available, I think that's something that I can only really guess at. The two available options as I see it are a higher being making the decisions, or rank luck.
  7. I don't agree - some people are absolutely more gifted than others. No one's saying that it's possible to reach the top without hard work, but a lot of people will never reach the top of a given field, no matter how hard they work.
  8. I don't think I'm going to bother going any further with this discussion, as I believe that everyone should believe what they want - that was the main point of my last post about no one having all the answers, and it wasn't aimed specifically at any one person in this thread. I don't think it's respectful to call other people's beliefs garbage or stupid either - debate and refute by all means, but there's a line.
  9. Just remember that we still have lots to discover about our existence - it's a foolish man who thinks he has all the answers.
  10. So basically, Uranus is a bit unusual? Muwhahahaha!
  11. Sounds a bit like what's happened to boxing, where they took it away from the traditional fan base by chasing cash.
  12. Yeah I like to see some passion from drivers as well, and that's something that I like about Vettel (aside from him being a great driver). There's still a line though, and ramming someone under SC conditions is the wrong side of it. Punching a marshal is, of course, even further past it
  13. Yeah I don't think anyone's still talking about the rear-ending. The deliberate toys-out-of-pram moment just after is absolutely unacceptable and I think the retro-DQ as others have suggested is the best option. I quite like Vettel but he crossed the line here big time.
  14. Stu, I'm not suggesting that my ideal government wouldn't spend any money at all. I don't like what's happened with regards to the DUP deal, but it was the best that could be done with the situation and is onle a one-off payment. Aashenfox, I tried to explain that before to no avail.
  15. I'm afraid it's true - there really isn't a magic money tree
  16. I think she's been painted in that light because she tried to make some tough calls at the wrong time. Irresponsible spending while our debt is through the roof seems more immoral to me. Good old money saving TM. Brexit will cost a fortune, Trident costs a fortune, the coming tax breaks cost a fortune, the election was needless spending (albeit only a few millions). Yeah, she's all over saving money, just you know, saving it from the right people. Brexit wasn't exactly May's idea, Trident and tax breaks are necessary evils and the election was a good idea that backfired spectacularly. Sounds like you really bought into the 'May is evil' spin though...

  18. I feel that May has started talking a lot more openly in response to the criticism that she wasn't open, was trying to do it all her own way. Since the election it seems like she's trying to present herself in a more open, moderate way. I agree with you on this, but ultimately I think she felt she had to address that reason for her lack of popularity.
  19. It is a concern that some people are acting as if we're in the Great Depression or something. It's natural for economies to have peaks and troughs, but it seems like a very vocal section of society aren't happy unless money is constantly falling from the skies. Any excuse to slam the Tories and capitalism I guess...
  20. Well yeah, I think pedals originally weren't set up well for it so were probably further apart, necessitating actual use of the heel.
  21. My rear camber is just outside OEM spec, and I'm only lowered 14mm at the back. I think it varies a bit from car to car how much you get get away with before needing camber arms.
  22. And wrong. The judge ruled that the fact that the victim had attempted suicide in the past or was likely to attempt it in the future had no bearing on her behaviour. It's a legal precedent and one I happen to agree with. As the prosecution put it; "Back years ago in order to have a relationship you had to actually see somebody - or at a minimum talk on the phone. That is no longer required. People fall in love via the internet and via text. People bully via text and the internet. You can encourage someone to die via text, and you can commit a crime via text," This is the new reality we live in & laws are changing in response to it. I agree with all of that - there was nothing in my post about previous attempts or the nature of their relationship.
  23. Hmmm, well I'm a big advocate of doing things in the way that suits you, but the toe (or ball of the foot) offers much better sensitivity where needed, which in this case is the brake pedal.
