  1. If I was loaded then I'd like to run a 997 C2S or GT3 for a bit. Not a dream car for me, but I like the look of those and they're supposed to be great to drive.
  2. I can understand being disillusioned with politics, but bear in mind that this country still has a very high standard of living and good opportunities. The important thing at this stage is to make sure it stays that way...
  3. Well surely if you tax cigarettes for being unhealthy, in principal the same should apply to other unhealthy stuff. End of the day, if you're sensible and don't consume these things all the time then it won't put a huge dent in your wallet. The alternative is just to not treat people who are responsible for their ailments, but then where do you draw the line?

Pretty sure the 370z subforum isn't the right place Edit: damn it, beaten...
  5. Fight for better, or fight for the same pay and conditions as originally available but have subsequently declined? Striking because you decide that you don't like your job (even though it hasn't changed) is ridiculous. It does help unions to justify their existence though
  6. Maybe I'm missing something, but don't no win no fee solicitors render unions obsolete if their main purpose is employee legal support?
  7. Right, so I don't need (or want) a union.
  8. I know I have the right to find a different job if my employer's a **** - that's the beauty of the free market.
  9. To be fair, I come across people who are rubbish at their jobs on a daily basis. You're a sick man
  10. Timeless design, the RX7. Nice motor
  11. The Tories are evil... Don't you read the internet Dan?!
  12. Oh good, we're back to making assumptions about why people vote a certain way. Maybe some people think that the Tories are the best party for the country?
  13. No, but that doesn't mean that you should then make everything else that's not okay legal as well
  14. Yeah but you can't say you'd be happy about your local convenience store selling heroin just because no humans were harmed in the production of it, surely? I think it would be political suicide for any politician to propose legalising any drugs - I just can't see that many people being in favour.
  15. Smoking is demonised, no doubt. All the criticisms of it are true, but they're equally true about other things (alcohol being the prime example). Stu I disagree with your point about not running a country like a business. You can only borrow more and more for so long before it gets you into trouble, unless you think that ending up like Greece is a desirable outcome.
  16. Which I'm guessing means like driving with an open diff. If there was no diff then it wouldn't go anywhere...
  17. Only ever for speeding I think (I had three tickets in my early motoring days), but haven't been pulled over in many years now, touch wood.
  18. That is indeed what I'm saying Fodder!
  19. So, a substitute for wheel nuts that offers absolutely no benefits (as far as I can tell) over a spare set of wheel nuts?
  20. Well hopefully someone in power will see the light before it's too late. As Dan said though, it would probably be too much for voters to stomach, which would lead to... And then change would be forced. I don't think anyone suggested that.
  21. Absolutely agree 100%. This is why I think we should pay our MPs significantly more than we do, get the big business owners with a proven track record interested in helping run the country. Stop this faffing around, it's the most important job in the country so we should pay a proper wage. Trump for PM ? I was thinking more along the lines of Michael Bloomberg
  22. Yeah I was thinking maybe a security device, but TBH I'd rather just run steel rims if I was that worried because that looks bloody ugly.
  23. It sounds like you're talking about lower taxes for large companies - I was responding to the posts regarding using an accountant to find ways to pay lower tax.
