Are the tyres in the factory fit sizes? Might be an idea if a friendly local Z owner would swap wheels for a drink just to go out with you up the road to see if the steering feels any different. Straight away rules out any concerns over the tyres themselves, without having for cough up for new rubbers.
It's very bad boys, transformer cinematography which looks incredible (Michael Bay like Spielberg is a movie director legend) but the plot is shocking from Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese.
Mine have been wrapped since Sept 2018 and look a fresh as the day they were applied. Hated having to polish the ever few months to keep them from fading and the more you polish the less of the factory UV coating remaining so they fog up quicker.
The below is what I bought iirc for mine

Looks fab, their hydro sealant is excellent too
Very surprised to hear you don't dry your car after washing mind, must be using a water filtration of sort no doubt.
Few pictures of the coating applied to the RAYS prior to refitting some time ago. C4 isn't sold as being for alloys, but will chemical bond to the surface providing protection through the harsh winter months.
These cleaned thoroughly and dried before storage.
You're right, considering its a tad further away also for perspective. In isolation the mk2 TT appears rather small, however side by side with the 350z its a different story. Also the cabin of the TT feels a lot smaller than the 350z.
