Hope everyone enjoyed the breakfast meet and drive out, thank you again for coming. Very much touch and go considering what's happening at the minute sadly, so 15 cars was amazing!! *x14 Zeds & x1 5 Series. Only I could arrange a meet at the start of a national pandemic, plus it rained pretty much non stop yay. Hope all got home safe -

Snap, mine needs a wash however I'll clean mine tomorrow evening. -
Looks like carbon fibre effect at a glance, I like that. Do you have to machine polish in the road?
-
Looks really smart and great you're keeping it!!

I would advise to top up with the same grade oil as the last oil change, However, some oil is better than no oil.

Food order confirmed with Leanne at the café, booking for 9:30am and any changes il let them know. -
I personally view the extra paid on road tax for a 370z worth it, for a RevUp or HR not worth it compared to a DE. I refuse to pay more in road tax than insurance. All the best with the 350z car search, plenty out there to choose from.

First action, carry out a pad break in procedure

Cheers Lewis, thank you!! The thread was always going to be more about polish than power with me as an owner Upon going to view the car, straight away could tell it was a clean car so really the upkeep has been routine stuff thankfully. The owner before me had bee over servicing it with the replacement if items, which was my gain. The DE has so much scope for engine dressing up which is great. the more modern stuff as you knowing being plastic fantastic are so bland in comparison - Bring back chucky HT leads ay. This was my Almera GTi engine bay and it was my daily driver.

Was a great buy and after the confusion worked out well. Need that confidence back when going for an upshift in anger!!

More than the updates I know that every hour spent on the car detailing, you'll be taking a visit to satisfaction city. It's getting to know the new car in detail and making it your own. For me you can get in a car and drive it all day long, but it's not yours until you actually go through it in the fashion above - LOVE IT!! Wheels looks unreal on silver too pal

I understand the thinking and that would be similar to the ARC catch cans. I would prefer to keep the low and high sides of the system separate as Nissan intended. At wide open throttle the vacuum in the intake becomes atmospheric and shuts the PCV off. Combining the low/high sides could result in excessive oil draw at idle, feeding off both ports.

Sure you can finish it big man? -
Be sure you're not looking at a boosted setup. The n/a OE set up is a closed system utilising the engines vacuum to draw out the oil vapour re burning it. The catch can plumbs into this closed system catching the oil vapour, therefore venting to atmosphere doesn't draw out the crankcase pressure nearly as good as a closed vacuum set up. Same principle for our VQ35's using a 2 port unit.
-
Vented is a waste of time and bad for your engine, as you want the engines vacuum to help draw out the crankcase pressure. 2 port needed or 3 possibly for a V6, but the 3rd isn't essential.

FOOD ORDER Evening all, couple of changes since the last time we went to Oakes Farm for breakfast. Rung up initially to make out group booking and was asked to pay a per person deposit as it's for ten or more people, I have done this myself. Also was asked that nearer the time to email over a pre order for the food. Please kindly take a look at the first post showing the menu and edit your food order to your own name. By Wednesday, any names left without an order I will default to 'Farmers Breakfast' which I and @valy will recommend -

I personally wouldn't risk it as its not common for manufactures to forge alloys, so the likelihood is they'll be put in the oven with all the other cast wheels and returned to once remembered. Refurb via sanding and painting would be my advice.

Import spec can vary from UK version. For example all UK cars had lsd, 18' alloys and brembo brakes as standard. A 350z lacking these will of course be less desirable than a UK car, affecting it's value. So long as it has 18's, Brembo's LSD leathers and cruise I'd say you into a winner. Also the UK intake hose to the throttle body is uprated compared to the Jap imports.
