Possibly before your ownership these were wet sanded right down and polished up, or even multiple times thus weakening the plastic.

Yeah I'm the same it's not in me to let the 350z get mucky, to be fair the Sunny has a good life but that engine bay, well it was a job I enjoyed thoroughly!! Drive must be a state underneath mind. It's pretty tidy and a lockdown hero, everyone just thinks it's grandad out for meds

It only took an international pandemic to prompt this one. First engine bay clean in 28yrs, the grime was immense. Came up well for an old girl. Even drafted in a pair of little princesses to help out. An assortment of brushes, Bilt Hamber Autofoam, Carchem Revolt, ACF50 & Autobrite trim dressing. All the way through thinking, I really hope this starts as I covered nothing. On to the pictures, the task was a enthusiast car detailers dream Can anyone spot the mechanical change?...... Before....
