For a daily it's tidy, a basic oil change takes me ages and I'm always busy cleaning and having a good poke round underneath. Servicing and routine maintenance, I've luckily always done myself since owning my first car almost 20yrs ago as I enjoy it. Another option might be to visit your local BP to use their 'buy time jet wash'. Bring your prewash spray bottle, apply to the vehicle and using £1 worth, jet wash the vehicle off getting into all the arches and door shuts. A vehicle with a decent wax or sealant, most of the road grime will come off - but do work methodically. Then once home I would then go over the car with something like this, which will safely remove the last bit of dirt left and topping up your coat of wax at the same time. The knack is to apply pressure with the palm of your hand to the joint on the arm, which pops the arm off the wiper motor splines *if having trouble with removal
