Not much online about Autoglym's new offering - High Performance Tyre Gel *went to town on that name. But il judge product itself, not the name. Thought I'd give it ago and add it to my inventory. First impressions are it's very nice and easy to use, more of a syrup than a gel. Once applied to the tyre it levels out really well, normally I'd always have to revisit to level off however didn't feel the need at all. Went on evenly and without fuss, and even smells nice. It's sort of how I always wanted Meguiar's Endurance Tyre Gel to be, loosing it's sticky feel it would leave behind. I left them with a gloss look, as I like my tyres to look dressed rather than not. Wheels and tyres were cleaned the day before with Meguiar's All Wheel Cleaner/ fallout remover and Bilt Hamber Autofoam 5.1 for the sidewalls. Next measure will be how well it holds up to semi daily use. Then to check if the product gives off that browning, commonly seen with gels. *the bottle far left is Autobrite Tyre Gloss

How else do folks get to work in the capital?....... Im sure those that can drive have done do, requiring parking once at work *rare. Ride, providing the distance is reasonable again with safe storage during the day. Walk, of course again if the distance is reasonable. Taxi option, will get expensive as the days/weeks go on. I understand bashing the problem, however not when the solution isnt forthcoming.

Tempted to do this with my Ryobi leaf blower (rated to 245km/h) but by the time I've dragged the pressure washer out, I might as well get the mitts out

About right for circa 8,000 miles I'd say

Looking great still, are you open hose rinsing?

Nice one for the reply, looking forward to having a play hopefully soon.

Just received a Korean Twisted Microfiber drying towel and I'm eager to try it out, but the car's pretty clean. Has anyone got one as I'm interested if you found it more of a pat dry or place and drag towel? Also a general question regarding aftercare, do you tend to hand or machine wash? Air or tumble dry? as I'm keen to avoid it becoming a lint monster.

Proper roof down weather of late

Next day option (if ticked) I believe is available for order over £15, understandably no guarantees mind.

Yeah its pretty scary footage, we have a porch on the front so parcels are left there and everyone operates a no signature policy so items are left there and brought in soon after.

Finger in the air, I'd say coolant temperature sensor. If the ECU believes the engine to still be cold when it's actually warmed up, it'll over fuel causing the symptoms you describe.

Cheers pal, yeah for a daily she's very clean underneath thankfully. Totally not sure what affect an exhaust leak would have on drone, pretty sure you'd hear the leak even on idle to know what's what. I've read the same about it speeding up the corrosion of the metal. I've wrapped headers before and never had an issue as it's always been with good quality stainless or mild steel. My thinking for wrapping the de cats and y pipe was it looks BOSS!! keeps the heat out if the cabin, OE cats with their heat shields made the transmission tunnel fairly warm after a long journey. Performance, in theory keeping the exhaust gases hotter speeds up the flow and hotter gases should also help the HFC do it job also. Win, win, win win.
-
What did the exhaust sound like prior to fitting the HFC's? Ive had the Toyosport system paired with both OE cats and Motordyne ART pipes, with zero drone at any given rpm.

I have this kit and you'll use every bit of this and it's all good stuff https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gtechniq-Essential-Maintenance-Kit-paint/dp/B078N5CTQH Or found locally the below kit from Auto Finesse is very good too from Halfords This ValetPro kit looks very good also https://www.valetpro.global/Additional-Products/Kits-and-Gift-Packs/1277-/Exterior-Car-Care-Kit Once you've used a product and get on with, it makes sense to then buy the larger containers as this is more cost effective over the long-term. Large containers I have are; ValetPro Bilberry wheel cleaner 5ltrs ValetPro Citrus Pre wash 5ltrs Bilt Hamber Autofoam 5ltrs Autoglym tyre dressing 5ltrs Turtlewax Big Orange car shampoo 5ltrs Autosmart TFR 5ltrs

Most important is correct wash technique, as there's no point spending hours or days correcting paint just to put the damage right back in. A read of the below link is very much time well spent. Edit - posted at the same time, the above is an EPIC guide https://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=27

Over the years I've had OE, Cosworth, Green Cotton, PiperCross and would recommend a foam filter. Very well made, hard wearing and reusable after a thorough wash/air dry. None of which give the sound of a large cone filter however which in itself is worth the purchase alone.
