  1. I always question companies that can offer a fixed price on rebuilds before the engine is stripped, inspected and measured , only then can you tell what parts are going to need replacement.

    brake fluid

That Rbf660 will be fine the product will be consistent plus you can mix them anyhow
  3. Sounds like the dsg fart my Octavia does it as well , but its quieter with the stock exhaust , plus peak power is around 500rpm before the redline
  4. Whats the oil pressure like at idle , low oil pressure can cause jerky running on these cars
  5. Same here went from a 57 plate HR to a 12 plate 370z auto , i was never a fan of the 350 manual and the 370 is more of less the same so the auto was a big draw since the 350z auto is pretty poor As said you need to drive one really Biggest downsides for me with the 370 is the much reduced boot, tramlining and sound , the latter can be easily fixed
  6. Spark plugs are every 5 years Brake fluid and clutch fluid every other service so 2 years Gearbox oil (Manual), coolant and diff oil every 3 years
  7. too old to easily find a good one now
  8. If you buy new sway bars they usually come with bushes , you can buy aftermarket sway bar bushes from Superpro, they come in various sizes to accommodate a range of sway bars
  9. I dont think that Nissan specify a frequency but many specialists agree on manual gearbox and diff oil every 3 years
  10. Good value for money and pretty decent.
  11. Dextron 6 automatic transmission fluid Opie do it http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-968-fuchs-titan-atf-6000-sl-latest-synthetic-atf-dexron-vi-approved.aspx
  12. Not seen that used in the automotive industry although its common in the aircraft industry
  13. Could be anything really , a video might help . Is it anything like this ?
  14. forged engines are not always easy to live with Why? Some forged engines sound horrendous when cold, piston slap is very common on forged pistons since they expand more when hot , this can also mean that the pistons rings dont last as long
  15. The stock lsd never locks up consistently in my experience and is very oil temperature dependent But changing the oil is often overlooked and you never know
  16. You will never have the "fuzzy feeling" that all is right with the engine , forged engines are not always easy to live with and few come with a useful guarantee
  17. Be very very careful of companies that offer services like this , some in fact many just clean up a stock engine from a breaker and sell it on, the industry is rife with it unfortunately. That one posted "Auto Engines UK Ltd" is one of them . ANY company that will only accept cash should be avoided as you have zero protection if anything goes wrong. If you really want a rebuild the best option is to use a specialist , its not cheap but many people find out its good value AFTER trying alternative means
  18. If thats really a concern you might want to reconsider your driving
  19. Cheaper cameras dont tend to have GPS and that does add significant functionality, and whilst the Blackvues are expensive they are one of the most discreet options, have excellent software and come with features like auto parking mode, shock sensors, gps and connectivity options which allow immediate download to a mobile device/upload to the cloud so they are good value for money However as I said earlier if all you need is a basic dashcam then the G1W is hard to beat
  20. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/108292-oil-gallery-gasket-repair-350z-hr-and-370z/ Yes the engine stays in and there is no need to remove the timing chain To be fair I you havent done one then I wouldnt blame any garage for suggesting the engine needs to be removed , in fact H-Dev told me the same back in 2013 when I approached them with the issue
  21. I kind of want to agree but what do you reckon about the wheeler dealer results? Terraclean slipped Brewer a monkey and fudged results? Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk It cleaned the injectors and cats most likely, which shouldn't be overlooked as if the spray pattern of the injectors is poor then emissions and efficiency can be affected, as said it wont remove the carbon but then a little carbon isnt a bad thing
  22. Yes you can use the power magic pro with any other dashcam , plus there are other gizmos that do the same job so you dont need the PMP.
  23. 60w would be a massive overkill on an engine in good condition
