  1. Always good to end Top Gear style, "..and on that bombshell".
  2. Totally agree with you and like you when I leave my car I do everything possible to give me the best chance of coming back to an undamaged Zed. E.g: park in a safe area or miles away from other cars if I go to a supermarket etc. Unfortunately though there are a lot of mindless idiots, selfish pr**ks, jealous planks and just darn right careless people on this planet with us so sometimes things will happen to our cars no matter how careful we are when we leave the car's anywhere other than a locked up garage (if we had them). Try not to worry about it too much though as this is one of the things that spoilt my ownership of my last highly modified car (a JDM Impreza WRX) as I was forever worrying about it getting just the slightest mark on it. With my Zed I still worry about it and try to keep it safe but if something happens now I just try to remember sh*t happens & not let it ruin my life. You've already had one of the worst things that can happen to any car happen anyway Matt which is the engine letting go so hopefully it will be onward's & upwards from now on.
  3. Parking the car anywhere though has got to be better than it's last parking spot on the back of a flat bed truck. Can't wait for you to get it all sorted Matt so you can enjoy it again.
  4. Look's great Mikey but sorry to read you may be having to sell it so soon. Not really the best time of year to be trying to sell a car really either so good luck whatever you decide to do.
  5. MX5 not my thing but still look's like you did a good job on it. Nice Zed Ryan & definitely a good starting point for any future mods. Must say I do like your test driver for the Zed btw, ..she's lovely. Hope the Zed treats you well.
  6. this post was at midnight dont you ever sleepbut the real question is why do people keep calling you Graham ? I do sleep I just like to make the most of my weekends. Got up at 10am "ish" on Saturday & went to bed at 3am on Sunday so a good 17hr day yesterday. The whole "Graham" thing started I think because people on here didn't know what "GM" in my user name stood for. Ian (14N) thought it stood for "Gun Metal" like the colour of my Zed but I told him no it stood for my initials and then one fateful day someone, can't remember who, called me Graham when replying to a post I made. I said "thank you, but who the heck's Graham?" and it just seems to have stuck from there onwards. Kept telling people it's not my name & that my real names Gareth but that didn't help. Even had a T-shirt made, link: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/92028-super-cool-custom-made-t-shirt-ready-for-any-shows-meets/ Suppose I could have gotten a worse nickname.
  7. I'm actually English, born in North Yorkshire. So I can't even use being Welsh or some other nationality as an excuse. Maybe I'll just blame "auto correct" as I see a lot of people doing that. Also sorry to disappoint but I haven't fitted any more P-clips. Just can't find any more suitable locations for them. Just been snapping away with my camera today trying to get a decent picture for the calendar so will be posting my reject shots on here soon rather than just deleting them all.
  8. Not on this side of the pond, no. Yeah, I'm being that guy tonight. Sorry. Changed it but it still just looks wrong? I know generally there are a lot of words when used in British English use an "s" but in American English they use a "z" (like: realize/realise etc) but that's just one of those words that catches me out & still doesn't look right when spelt the correct way with the "s". Doesn't help that the spell check on this forum is American English as it's telling me that it's wrong when spelt with the "s" but correct with the "z".
  9. The thing about that though is the Zed is getting on a bit now especially the one's like mine, early DE engine models. At the time when they were new they were a fast sports GT car with quoted 0-60mph of 5.9secs but nowadays that doesn't seem so fast when there are so many of these hot hatches & turbo/supercharged this & that which can match or better it with ease. I think though in the end "real drivers" who enjoy speed (like me) will always just get used to what they have and crave more power, more speed, better performance etc. I'm sure that if I had an R35 GTR which is what I lust after. Give it a year or so and I'd want that to be faster, stop quicker etc. Edit: Spelling.
  10. This. Everyone's different. I can't believe people who waste their time watching *insert inane ball related sports or similar here*.
  11. I know I have, ...I can see him chasing some nurses around a park as well. I hadn't realised your house overlooked the park  It actually does, ....well more or less. Close enough to see.
  12. My deepest condolences to you & your family for your loss. RIP.
  13. I know I have, ...I can see him chasing some nurses around a park as well.
