  1. Whilst a lot of cyclists do themselves no favours, I know I could easily run them over and kill them if I don't pay attention. As such I give them room, let them behave like ****s and hope that nothing happens to them or they get a scare and stop doing what they're doing. I just hope that an enhanced or legislated proficiency exam is taken for London cyclists so that if they are stopped they can either be educated, reminded of the rules but most importantly behave in such a way that they do not cause themselves any danger. Dedicated cycle lanes would be better, but we don't have the room here in London.
  2. So you can! (learn something new every day ) I like gadgets and gizmos though
  3. Doesn't really do much if you haven't got any earthing issues - it adds a bit of "colour" to your engine bay.
  4. If you do clean your throttle body it often may cause idling issues, and needs an ECU interface (via ODB2 port) to get it back to normal - unless there is a different way of doing it (there seems to be what has been posted above). You shouldn't need to disconnect the battery.
  5. Oh I didn't even notice. Thanks.
  6. She's even better since getting the Zed shed sticker
  7. I don't think it is. However I'm going to be working on it this weekend, and I'll check it out.
  8. No the covers were done before I got it. The carbon fetish is mine though. Thanks for the comments. Believe it or not it's full of swirls, so need to get it sorted.
  9. I personally would keep away from OCZ they don't have a very good reputation. However everyone experiences different things. SSDs are great as boot up and system drives. For data I use cloud/NAS/file server combination - which replicates no matter where I save to.
  10. Interesting. Definitely stuff to mull over Christmas. Thanks chaps.
  11. I hadn't thought of a custom... Is it the same price range? I don't know about going catless as much as I'd love to, it's just a pain for me to have to put them back on for the MOT. I don't want a particularly loud obnoxious exhaust, but something with a nice burble at idle, but has a decent soundtrack when on full chat. Will have a look at powerflow for options. The question will then be, which HFCs will work best with powerflow?
  12. Well probably not... However, I',m trying to decide between Milltek and Invidia. I'd have HFCs as well (If I'm doing it I might aswell go the whole hog!) Has anyone here got a combo of Milltek + HFC or Invidia + HFC. And which HFC works best with both? I see invidia do their own HFCs too... Decisions decisions!! IT won't be till next year - but I want to keep an eye on things.... Happy to hear opinions and ideas.
  13. Didn't realise there was this thread! Not been to either Jez or Abbey but have got the velocity stack, HKS filter and plenum fitted. And this is where I am at the moment: I'd like to sort out the little bit of pinking I get under load - but I'm sure a remap will sort it. I'll be going for a remap in due course, but first, exhaust and HFCs!

    Drifting

Oh good not just me then! I don't always turn it off - I just enjoy having a bit more control now and again. Generally I have it on, but I've owned a few powerful RWD cars so I guess I feel happy to control the car using the throttle rather than relying on TC to do everything for me.

    Drifting

Anybody enjoy turning TC off in this sort of weather for a bit of careful fun?
  16. It hurt my groin watching that. The man still has it though
  17. That's not very helpful. Obviously he could find the width, but he wanted to know from people with experience of parking it in a single garage if it is practicable to do so and be able to get in and out of the car.
  18. Yup... Wanna do it for me? Might just get it powder coated instead, saves on the hard work!

    Drifting

Firstly I doubt you're actually drifting, but if you're losing The back end even with stability control switched on, then you're either planting the throttle too hard mid corner steering too aggressively, driving too fast for the conditions or as Commander sensibly suggested there may be a physical issue with the car that you need to check out .
  20. Just drive gently keeping revs low fora while until you're up to temp. Basic mechanical sympathy.
  21. Can anyone hazard a guess as to why torque seems low? The car seems to be pinking a little under load. Would the plenum affect the ecu and timings?
  22. Got one of these: Then: Does make a nice noise on full chat now, much more induction noise. Thanks for great kit Ian.
