  1. Oh decisions !! Its Coventry Motorfest same weekend.
  2. Hopefully I will be able to join you too as I am only down the road and its not a silly o'clock hour on a Sunday morning !!! Have some deadlines to meet first, so will have to confirm later. I would want lunch - if its easier to reserve then cancel. I am more likely to make it than not. Oh and Congrats on taking on the new role. It will be great to have more meets, drive outs too ? !
  3. Sadly not true. I have an current MOT but was not even asked about this, or was it mentioned. I requested Class 1 business Use, limited Mileage and declared aftermarket exhaust. 11 years NCB. Currently SORN and garaged.
  4. Having just called Chris Knott. I have found out for their policies. if your vehicle is SORN, you are not covered by their insurance !!!!!! Really . So, being un nerved by this, I called my current Insurer 'Brentacre', yes I am covered by Insurance if the vehicle is SORN and off the road - of course. One to watch chaps !!

    Brake Judder

Marcus again advised of no parking with hand brake on and every trip out after the car stood for even a short time, day or two, to do the 60, 20, 60 to heat up the discs. Sorry Dan

    Brake Judder

I too have just visited Marcus at Disc Skimmers and glad to say the horrendous judder that appeared latter part of the Route 500 trip in June year has gone. This had taken just 7 months from new discs and pads. Fortunately having another car I was able to take it off the road until now. My driving may be a little too lively, but I thought it dangerous and was not driving it until fixed. Marcus is an Interesting chap. I loved being in the workshop, observing and learning all about the process of his work. I was lucky he had a cancellation otherwise due to how booked up he is, it would have been mid October. Annoyingly as he finished the skies properly opened with heavy rain so during my test drive, I was too timid on my brakes to properly test them, (after that judder through the brake pedal and steering wheel) so asked Marcus if he would mind checking himself. I live 2.5 hours drive away, so ........made sense. Brakes were fine, no juddering at all. Best was, he loved my car and set up, including my K1 and owning up to having sold his due to believing he would not hold onto his licence. I gather he has a rather nice 370z these days. Good to read back through these posts too, to hear some 9 months later reporting no issues and no - one reappearing to report any after.
  7. And..............so obvious !!!
  8. Mousewheel flick ?????????????????? What the ...............is one of those ???
  9. Hello, A small item that I believe would be really helpful. 'A Back to the top' button static on the bottom of the screen which can be selected at any time. Of course if there is such a way to do this without scrolling back up the sidebar - please guide me in the right direction. Thank you Wendy
  10. Shame I can't make those dates. Would have loved to join in.
  11. I am a Contractor and it certainly has flexibility for sure, but remember no paid holidays or sick days. Not that this bothers me. I am in the process of hopefully downsizing and reducing my usual work further to hopefully move onto things I wish to do, which will earn less hence the downsize. Some months ago , I started 2 books. One of work, things I can do and I would like to try my hand at plus ways in which to obtain this. The other - of more leisure activities which who knows could potentially have an income too. Whenever I think of something I add it, allowing me to follow these up rather than getting lost. I have found by doing this it has helped me focus and prioritise what is most important...... Just need my house to sell in this 'Drought of a Market !! Good Luck and hope you find something soon. In the meantime, sign on, claim all you are entitled to and keep busy to keep the motivation going.
  12. Due to this thread I have actually spent quite a while getting my head around the new site. I was not aware of the Forum Help which did take a lot of scrolling to locate. Although it is going to take me a while to get used it, I think I have the hang of it. It is, right now feeling more cumbersome, but surely this is just change and won't in time ? I believe some of the loss views here are due to change here but equally the FB page. I for one have had to force myself to come on here as I do prefer a Forum to FB but it is easy to get drawn into the FB thread if are on FB at the time. I have found the same with other Clubs and they have not had a massive facelift, new site to contend with at the same time. Annoyingly if I turn off the FB thread, I find you can also miss things, events, meets in particular. Too many ways to communicate these days, so unless folk duplicate everywhere things will be missed. Sorry .....going off on a tangent !!
  13. Very odd, as I have called several times between those times ! No worries though as we spoke earlier, will email you again later with details of the issues on my 350z. Thanks Mitz
  14. Thank you, just emailed via the link you sent.
  15. I have been highly recommended to Cougar Store. I have now called them 5 times with no answer or ansaphone to leave a message. Yesterday, I decided to visit - as advertised their site at 135 Queens Street, Leicester, as I was relatively nearby There is not a business there ??????? !!!!!!!!!! There was a large sign outside saying Cougar Store - with an email and web address - but all under the banner of Fours Shires Garage (I think it was called) An hour wasted, getting very frustrated !!!!!!!! Have they gone out of business ? The website is still up. I have sent an email, hopefully I will get a response. In meantime, can anyone throw any light on this ? Thanks Wendy
  16. Thanks for the organisation for a good meet on Saturday and after for the meal at the Hotel. Nice to catch up with folk previously met and some new ones......, putting faces to forum names !!! (Dan !! ) Special thanks to Buster for his advise on issues with my car. Hopefully we can have similar next year.
  17. Thanks this is useful, mine is doing the same. Anyone know the type of cost that can be expected or parts and fitting. Or, how long a job it is ? Thanks
  18. Hope to see some of you on our Tour in June. We are near Aberdeen, Elgin and going to The Isle of Skye on the trip.
  19. Evening all. Just an update to anyone who has shown interest in joining this trip. I have just either sent you a pm or email. Looking forward to the Trip Wendy
  20. We are visiting Skye mid June, 6 cars, 3 of which are Zeds. Staying on mainland though and popping over on 2 days. PM me if interested for drive out, meet up.
  21. Croft Cadwell Park Thruxton Rockingham is boring and Silverstone did nothing for me at all. Shame as it is on my doorstep. Wish I had a bike for Donnington. Still to try Anglesey, hear it is good.
  22. S2000 is a great car to drive. Z4 - not had one, only taken one for a test drive Decided it was a bit sole less. Was a few years back. Surely the Evora not the Elise ?!! Don't know prices though. What about the S200 another great car to drive ..... although not the most easy to get it into.
  23. I really have no Trust of Solicitors, either for a house conveyance or much else really. Give me a Motor mechanic plumber, builder to deal with any day above a solicitor. Andrew - who did you use, as I will need one shortly (I hope) I am guessing one in Banbury ?
  24. Photo would be better still - on camera phone detailing date. !!
