  1. Very surprised to see Clarkson praising the i8 in the way he did... and then when filming back in the studio he began back-tracking I sort of want a Land Rover Defender after watching it, but no intentions of winching up a near vertical dam!
  2. I'd tend to agree with Ekona - a triple exhaust on a V6 is just utterly pointless. Far better modifications you could spend your money on instead.
  3. Sounds to me like a faulty or dirty air flow (MAF) sensor? Is it down on power or any flat spots through the rev range?
  4. Funnily enough I've had a similar noise coming from the drivers side Cat, video below: I had it up on the ramp and the mechanic tried pressing and prying the cat to see if the sound would disappear, but it didn't. He seemed to think it was inside the cat. Sounds like a stone bouncing around like you said above.
  5. Thanks for the responses lads! Got to the bottom of it. 10a fuse was blown - no 71 I think. It was in the fuse box behind the battery (a pain to get to!) pulled a spare fuse out of the drivers footwell fuseboz and popped it in- all sorted. Only noticed the fuse puller after I'd be prying them out with my fingers lol!
  6. fitted a new LED number plate bulb earlier - turned on the lights parking only and the lights quickly flicked off. number plate lights, rear lights and front side lights are now not working. Have I blown a fuse? Brake lights and others are fine. Any idea where this one is located? Presumably the 'hidden' one behind the battery?
  7. Those ART pipes look amazing. I had been researching these online the past few days and they are very impressive - and sound amazing. Especially with the tdx v2 exhaust. Good luck with the sale Wasso.
  8. A member on here pointed out these to me a few days ago - I've been reading about them online and they sound impressive. Is anyone planning on selling theirs in the future? Thanks
  9. I had it done in two different place. The first place made a bit of a balls of the tracking so I brought to a better garage a few weeks later and it was still pulling left after that was completed. I have the alignment sheet somewhere I must dig it out. For some reason I always thought the front would be the issue due the way the steering wheel moves left of the centre point when it starts pulling.
  10. I have a slight pull to the left on my '05 Zed: No suspension work performed since I've owned it (11 months) - no squeaking, creaking, knocking or clunking coming from the car on smooth or rough ground. > I have had it aligned twice and no significant variations. > I've checked for sticking calipers - none. > I've checked the tyre pressures and they were equal on both sides. I even try to increase the pressure on the passenger left side to see if it would decrease the pull to the left, no improvement. > I've driven the car on different cambers. A camber rolling to the left will intensify the pulling left in the car. On a completely flat road the pull to the left is decreased a lot. On a slightly cambered road to the right the car will more or less drive straight with no correction required. > It pulls under power and when coasting. No major noticeable issue when braking. Any ideas on where to start? Would a worn bush cause this?
  11. Curious to know how people generally find the stock viscous LSD for drifting? The zed is the first car I've owned that has a lsd so I can't really comment on how good or bad it is! Impression it has on me is that I find it a tad bit difficult to predict when it'll lock or not. Could be my driving technique too though. .
  12. Anyone know where I can get a set of these from? Changed pads about 2 months ago and now brakes are squealing like mad.
  13. hi mate - it that an OEM badge from the front or rear? (or are front and rear the same?) I'd be interested in that.
  14. Mine does that too, similiar squeek and it's definitely coming from the gearbox area!
  15. Interested in the rear EBC Ultimax brake pads - are these for the brembo system? Can you price up postage to Dublin, Ireland and let me know? Thanks
  16. Well.... had front wheels off today. Discovered a lot of flaked paint on 1) Disc hub surface and 2) Wheel mating surface. Scraped a ridiculous amount of paint off. The wheels were refurbed at some point and the quality around the hub area was not great. I cleaned it up fairly well so hopefully it's made an improvement.
  17. Interesting- good point. I did have a lot of paint flaking on the inside of the wheel from fitting and removing. Would a good clean sort it out do you reckon?
  18. Care to share a thought on what you think is the cause?
  19. Well so far so good. I have put new pads in, so see if there any improvement over the long term. I get so many varying opinions about what is actually causing it. Fact is, I should have changed the pads at the time of changing the discs and I've put it down to poor pad to disc transfer. Time will tell indeed. If it's the case it returns then the discs are being binned.
  20. Got a puncture on the front last Saturday. The space saver wheel wouldn't fit over the Brembo caliper on the front, which was to be expected. However, I put the spacer saver on the rear, which fits fine, but couldn't get the rear Rays wheel to fit on the front to replace the punctured tyre. From talking to micknero on here he said to unscrew that small bolt on the brake disc hub surface and it the rear Rays wheel should fit fine on the front, but do any of you have issue with rubbing off the wishbone control arm? I know the wheel is wider than the fronts as is the tyre width. Would just like to know next time instead of having to call the AA!
  21. So my discs are skimmed and have 7 miles on them but I jacked up the car last night and noticed they are still rubbing at a point, is this normal? I can't feel it during driving though where I very much could before. You can hear it in video. Also, here is a close up inspection of the disc after cutting, note the cutting lines of possible high spots: Any thoughts?
  22. I just got my discs skimmed yesterday mate- front axle. I am running relatively new mtec grooved discs. had exactly the same symptoms you describe above. They seem fine now, but I'm ordering new pads to fit.
  23. I drive with the TC on mostly, I do think it can be a bit overkill the way power is cut from the rear though. The ESP is quite sensitive too. I noticed with it on, put the foot down in 1st or 2nd, trigger the TC light, then apply the brakes immediately. The ESP automatically applies ABS to the wheels as it thinks the car is spinning.
  24. Had the same issue, left a 7up bottle on the passenger footwell afternoon. During a spirited acceleration it rolled back in under the seat and hit the connectors. Clip them back firmly again, did the reset, and result!
