  1. hi guys, Looking at the 2 fans, the one on the drivers side is spinning at a reasonably low speed, while the other one towards the passenger side was not moving at all. I think I could hear a click as if the relay was kicking in, but the motor did not turn the fan. I have seen this passenger side fan working before, a couple of weeks back, it used to come on for a strong burst for a few seconds before switching off.
  2. I've put 453s on in the last 250 miles myself. Haven't noticed the same issue myself, but I having been taking it pretty handy with them until they are bedded in.
  3. Sounds nasty MBW. I hope you get it sorted.
  4. Thanks for all the nice comments guys. I have to agree with 350 Russ above the lack of reliability is an old wives tale. With regular servicing they should give little trouble apart from a few niggles. They do demand a little more attention though, they like to use their oil like the zed, and the suspension can give issues with worn bushes and arbs etc. The short timing belt change is a bit of a pain on the TS engine (36k miles or 3 years). @RobPhoboS, The 159 nice is a lovely car. It's a pity the 3.2 engine is basically a GM / Opel lump though. I would have love to have seen a Busso V6 in one of them
  5. I always wondered what going from a S2000 to a 350z would be like! I was looking at buying a S2k before the zed, but in the end the zed won it over for me with the engine and styling. Nice collection.
  6. The busso 3.2 V6 is the pick of the GT bunch. Couple that with the quaife LSD and they are hoot to drive. Pity they are FWD though but I find the handling pretty decent for what they are.
  7. Instrument display: black backround with white illumination
  8. Interior as requested (only one I have of it)
  9. I have had this car for over 2 years now and she has been an absolute pleasure to own. I get a lot of stick in general about owning an Alfa, about their 'reliability' issues etc. I can genuinely say that it has not had any major issues in my ownership and the only real cost to me has been general servicing. My car is the 2007 Monza edition (Blackline in the UK), which comes with the 18" LE 'teledial' wheels. Newer Monzas had a 5 twin spoke design. It has the 1.8 twinspark engine that produces 140 bhp. It's generally very revvy car that has a reasonable mix of economy and power. Thanks for looking
  10. This is a pic of the air con ventilation pipe. It roughly situated underneath the passenger footwell underneath the car. When the air con is on air will flow out of this vent (you can feel it with your hand). It will also remove any built up condensation by dropping water out! I was trying to find out why there was drops of water under my car when I had it running for a few minutes last night..
  11. Hardluck tackleberry. I presume that this can't be repaired seeing as the plastic has been perforated?
  12. Hi folks, I'd be grateful on some feedback on this... Bought my Zed a few weeks ago. The seller told me about a judder on the clutch pulling away from a standstill. I noticed this myself during the test drive. I figured it was a clutch / dmf issue and I negotiated on the asking price as a result of this. The symptoms: > Judder felt through the clutch pedal in or on the biting point pulling away from a standstill. This will cause the whole car to vibrate as well until the clutch pedal is completely brought back out. > Revving the engine higher to 2 or 3k revs before bringing the clutch back to the bite point will 'dampen' or reduce the judder significantly. > Judder is still felt moving into second gear, although not as severe as when pulling away from a standstill. It's mainly a first gear / reverse from a stationary. > Judder can't really be felt when the car is moving and changing up through the remaining gears at speed. > Gears are smooth to engage with no significant resistance or crunching. > No vibration at speed. > Seems to get worse with a lot of stop / start driving (ie when the plates heat up). > Does not appear to be any noticeable slippage of the clutch (car will cut out if clutch released quickly without much accelarator given) I am guessing it is a worn plate on the clutch or dmf, but I work in hedge funds and not a mechanic so I was wondering if anybody could confirm this?! I don't want to get stung in forking out for a new clutch / DMF when it could potentially be something else. Thanks, Michael
  13. I think the bronze would look great... Have you explored going with an anthracite type colour? Could work well with the gunmetal body Louisa.

    New Zed

Looks class Dan. Are they genuine nismo lmgt4s?
  16. Thanks for all the welcome messages guys. Don't talk to me about the tax lol! I will be pennyless by the end but it will be worth it with the 350z right? ha!
  17. Hi Dan, I recently got a 350z and I am looking for a set of Rays wheels. How much life are left in the tyres? Particularly the rears? I am in Dublin, not sure if that is an issue for you as I would need them posted.
  18. Hi guys, Just dropping a quick hello! Have been lurking here for a bit and have read the 350z FAQ thread quite a bit to help with some buying advice. Have always been looking at a 350z as a purchase, ticks all the boxes for me. Car needs a few cosmetic touch ups. I'm not sure where I will go in terms of mods, but I might starts off with some gentle mods such as a plenum spacer and uprated air intake then on to exhaust. Will have a look a forced induction down the line if budget permits, but no immediate plans to do so. I look forward to reading and posting on here. EDIT: will try and get some pics up in the next week or so, will do a short detail on her before I do as she is a bit filthy ha! GT
