  1. Quick, buy something, anything - pick up a cheap Zed Will I have to pay import duty if I do buy something?! A few car buddies have been on Pistonheads classifieds all morning posting up links to TVRs and the likes. haha. I'd love a 370z myself!
  2. How are you folk all feeling about the result? We are loving the EUR/Pound rate movement here in Ireland at the moment!
  3. Really have to head to this next year. I don't suppose there might be a 350z-uk group event next year?
  4. Got your invite mate, I'll add you later - cheers
  5. I reckon this is the ABS self check - happens at about 5-7mph after pulling away after a fresh engine start. Completely normal. (FYI if you get up to that speed then immediately put your foot on the brake you can feel the self-check vibration up through the brake pedal - like if the ABS was actually applied)
  6. I just fitted the brembo ones you mention above. Had mintex on before - brembo seems a bit better. Better cold bite etc. Can't really go wrong for the price. If you're planning on doing track days frequently then it might be worth getting something more performance based.
  7. Anyone currently selling or planning to? I've a set of Berk Decats at the moment which I'd like to swap out for HFCs Thanks.
  8. I may be looking for a driver side one, so if someone is selling a pair only I can take one!
  9. There are 2 or 3 Zeds being broken here in ROI (one in Dublin - i think it was going for around €1,500 which is about £1,200) I think mileage was in or around 50 - 60k miles. Let me know if I can be of any assistance as I'm near enough to the garage breaking it.
  10. Welcome to the forum Foyler. Monza here Apologies I couldn't be of more help when you rang the other evening - the lads on here are far more knowledgeable so hopefully you can get it sorted.
  11. So I've recently fitted Berk decats to my car and been having a 'mixed' experience with them. Sound is absolutely class and one of the reasons I've kept the stock exhaust and just fitted the decats. The sound is like stock below 2.5k rpm - no drone on the motorway. This is great because at least the sound can be contained. I've noticed some torque loss at lower rpm which I was expecting. The car is otherwise stock bar a stubby aerial. The issue: Car absolutely stinks outside, I was expecting this - but not as bad. I also park in an underground carpark and it's pretty nasty. No fumes inside the cabin as long as the windows are up so it's not a leak. My initial worry was how loud it would be but now it's about whether or not I'll attract negative attention from cops for having an overly-fuming car (stuck in traffic or stopping at a checkpoint). Does anyone else have this issue or am I being overly paranoid? Question: Would Berk HFCs be much better? (keeping a similar sound but less fumes/smoke)
  12. I've just gone for an Ebay aftermarket banana arm. German made AFAIK. Will report back down the line but so far so good - the clunking noise has been resolved.
  13. Fair point GM. I don't see the decats as a very long term solution so I was just wondering if they could be repaired. But if it can't no point spending too much on a new cat. The rattle is rather annoying though:
  14. Not the meouw type Fitted decats this morning and took the old oem cats out for inspection. I've had a rattle at idle for the past few months and now I've confirmed a piece of the catalytic converter material has become loose within the cat housing. Picture attached- the mesh material what you can see rattles up and down. It's been fine to pass the last 3 NCTs (MOTs) as is. Question is - is there anyway to get this broken piece re-seated?
  15. Definitely stick them up for sale- somebody will need them- I blew my driver's side shock driving the Ring of Kerry last year and didn't fancy upgrading so needed an oem replacement. Picked up a full set of 4 on here. From philw99 above so it happens!!
  16. Hawkeye STIs also have the benefit of the DCCD (driver controlled centre differential) which I don't believe the bugeye STI had. Are the scoobys fun to drive? I was thinking of picking up an older WRX (possibly STI) for trackdays and some backroad twisty fun but have yet to drive one. The STI seems a good bit more highly strung than the standard WRX - engine rebuilds are significantly more from what I've been told.
  17. Holy sh!t. Absolute scumbags. Your man that kicked the mother full force in the head as she was on the ground.
  18. Holy thread revival batman! New Lego Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS http://jaysbrickblog.com/2016/04/25/lego-unveils-the-stunning-42056-technic-porsche-911-gt3-rs/
  19. I drove the 3.2 V6 version. It was a heavy yoke to shift around the twisty roads. Much prefer the 159 in Ti Spec.
  20. Are these for Brembo or non-Brembo fitment?
  21. I'd have to agree with this. Also, prices on parts for the HR are generally more expensive than a DE - for example Clutch and Flywheel, slave cylinder etc. Plus, if the slave cylinder in a HR fails it's a much bigger job than a DE due to it's location (gearbox out job, right?) But I have driven del0r's HR 350z on here with Motordyne ART test pipes and it's absolutely savage having that extra rpm
  22. I'm not sure about insurers in the UK - but on renewal here in Ire, the insurance company will ask you something to the effect of "have you been in any accidents in the last 5 years whether your fault or not" So you're kinda snookered into telling them. Glad to hear all is ok Bradders.
  23. Apologies- I see this has been answered before on here.
  24. Appreciate the response Ekona. Thanks for that.
  25. Hi Adrian... Slight interest here as I have not yet done my homework. Quick question - would one require large wheel lug nuts in order to fit these or they bolt on to the like the eibachs which use the the standard lugs? Thanks
