  1. Dibs on the 380RS accelerator pedal please mate!
  2. A mate of mine (ex-HR owner) sent me on a video of the the UpRev with pops and bangs, it's fantastic I have to say! #Tempted
  3. Hi Simon Dublin owner here. I'm living up in Dublin 15 near the Phoenix Park. I do a lot of the servicing myself, such as oil changes, spark plugs, aux belts etc so I haven't really had the need to have it in a garage. Are you definitely looking to go to a main dealer to get the servicing done or would an Independent suffice? I've used Windsor Nissan in Liffey Valley for some service parts - mainly oil filter and aux belts. Windsor also have some other branches closer to you - such as Deansgrange. If you want to go the Indy Route, I'll get a recommendation from one of the Irish Car Forums I'm on. As for tyres - I put Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3s fitted to my DE and they were a lot better. I've RE050s on my HR and they are shocking in the wet. Like shocking that I nearly binned it up the Wicklow Gap last Sunday I got Tyreland, Glasnevin to fit the Eagle F1s. Think they were around 180 euro a corner balanced & fitted.
  4. Just wondering if anyone is selling one? Thanks
  5. Thanks, will do - have been reading on here about the oil gallery gasket failures. The pressure is spot on at the moment anyway.
  6. It's Ebisu black... Ebisu has the purple tinge on it, correct? If so, I stand corrected! Apologies for the pedantry! No hassle, thanks for letting me know! Updating original post

  8. Octane booster for us folk in Southern Ireland is the only way to go! Northern Ireland is over an hours drive away from me in Dublin - so using super unleaded is not really a possibility unless I am up that direction. I should note that I haven't heard of any specific "detonation" related failures here yet - and I know a good few Z owners.
  9. Finally! I now own a HR my third owned Z. I picked her up last night - at the beginning of Storm Doris.. The specs are: May 2008 HR Ebisu Black 69k kms / 43k miles 3 owners Full Service History Standard Love it so far. But haven't been really able to take it for a spirited drive due to the weather. I've noticed a different power delivery in the HR over the DE- it pulls right up through the revs.. the Bi-Xexon headlights, bonnet hump, and rear LEDs really transform the car. The interior is great also- particularly the positioning of the hazard lights button Right now it needs a drivers side window motor regulator. It started failing last night - but other than that it's in top shape. Stormy picture last night a few minutes after picking her up: Oh and I should probably mention I still have my DE....
  10. Veeg33 - thanks a lot for that. Zman - good to know you have them in stock, I will drop you a pm should I need to get one. Great response on here as usual
  11. There's a high possibility I need a window motor for the drivers side. It's a 2008 HR. Anyone got any for sale? Thanks
  12. I thought it was hard to get up there nowadays? Must have read it wrong!
  13. I live in Dublin. Unfortunately super-unleaded is not available here but in terms of quality of fuels I'd stick to the main brands such as Topaz, Esso or Maxol. With a preference for Maxol as they used to yield a slighter higher octane in their 95. I know about 6 or 7 people with Zs that have been ran exclusively on 95 RON over the course of their lifetime and they are still going strong - some with higher mileage such as mine at 87k. You will be hard pushed to find high octane in Northern Ireland also. Additive may be your best bet. Good luck.
  14. Have 4 of the 6 plugs changed but having issues accessing two plug-wells. Can anyone tell me what is this rubber hose here and if it can be removed without causing any issues? I'm trying to get at the spark plug on the driver side bank - the one closest to the front of the car. Also any tips on getting at the passenger side bank - plug furthest in? Thanks
  15. I've heard these when they were fitted to del's car and they sound fricken awesome. Essentially zero rasp. They are expensive but worth it in my opinion - for those wanting to keep the deep v6 tone.
  16. I recently got Assetto Corsa for the PS4. Similar to project cars - it's rather challenging. Haven't got enough time to play it properly at the moment but so far so good.
  17. A girl at work had part of her honeymoon in Cancun there just gone. She enjoyed it a lot. She stayed here: http://www.rosewoodh...ba-riviera-maya If you want any more info I can ask her. Unfortunately I'm very much under the thumb but if you lads want to skip across the water to dublin for a pi$$ up then I'm there
  18. Isn't Instagram a sort of Snapchat now?
  19. I lost the rear end in 20mph turning on to a main road. Was in no way speed and was applying gentle throttle in 2nd gear. it was just after a heavy rainshower and it hadn't rained in a few days. Caught me by surprise. and of course there was a police traffic corp car parked at the lights and saw the entire thing They pulled up alongside me - I sort of put the hand up saying apologies- they both laughed - then sped off. I was lucky that day.
  20. Breaker bar ftw! Try using actual penetrating fluid. WD40 is only good for water displacement and in itself is not a lubricant. Apply penetrating oil - leave for an hour or so and try again. If no luck then, apply some more penetrating fluid and leave overnight.

    Which HFC?

Apologies for having to revive a thread that's a couple of months old. Question on the Fast Intentions Resonated HFCs. My understanding is that these are 300 cell substrate cats (vs 200 cell on the Berks). Would the increased cell count make much of a difference in terms of passing the MOT?
  22. It's funny, I thought I noticed more torque with the cats in after I went from decats -> cats, but you don't really notice a loss the other way around, so I'm happy enough. I enjoy the noise too much as it is though, although I'm not sure I could make it a daily with the decats in! I'll second this, I definitely noticed a loss in torque when I put the decats in. Also doesn't feel like it's pulls as well top end. I haven't got round to mapping mine yet either so I'm sure that would sort any issues anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yeah the car just felt sluggish approaching 3k rpm - and with the oem cats back in it now has a strong pull from 2k onwards. I know with the berks they 'hiss' around the 2-3 rpm mark when coming off throttle - say approaching a traffic light. You can actually feel a bit of 'drag' during this time - the car is pulling back or something - definitely a restriction in the system.
  23. Got this sorted on Saturday morning so stock cats are back in! The decats were a little disappointing I thought - I had done a lot of reading about them but didn't realise they were as raspy as there were in real life! Also I had noticed a little torque loss when fitted - but in fairness I had no mapping done. This was confirmed when I took the car for a blast after the oem cats were refitted. Now pulls like a train. Did the pedal dance too and cleared the EML.
  24. Oh, Narcos is absolutely fantastic too...Season 2 is out soon I think.
