  1. Just after 4pm round about the Rochdale junction heading towards Manchester through the road works. We were on our way back from Gainsborough in the wifes Mokka, as is usual now a days - apparently even if there is only 2 of you you need 4 seats in case you have to take anyone else in it .......
  2. Not sure of any other differences but I certainly wouldn`t go for a later one just for the touch screen option. I always use the buttons on mine rather than touch screen as I hate finger marks all over the screen (which becomes far more of a problem with an Iphone)
  3. No, mine fell off yesterday. Just going to take the one off the bike now and I`ll take the wifes out of her Mokka when she gets home from work. Think I`ll leave the one in the MGF since that ran out in 2008 and makes me think it really is about time I got it back on the road again every time I see it.
  4. I think it usually means that the jacket has a built in waterproof lining, usually not removable and therefore waterproof all of the time. It`s usually just the thermal linings that are removable and most have built in armour too now a days so are fairly protective as well.
  5. I`ll probably leave that until after the new car smell has completely dissipated and I think about adding an air freshener. I quite like the ones that fit in the cup holder - they look OEM and don't obscure the view through the windscreen like rear view mirror hanging ones but I`ll have to seek further advice when the time comes and see which is better in terms of BHP gains....
  6. Yeah, I think the reduced weight of the plastic over alloy caps and losing the tax disc holder must have added at least as much BHP as the stripe does. So probably got as much as the Nismo now .....
  7. It`s now completely back to standard - Some little @%$$! nicked my "high performance" alloy valve caps the other month so the original silver plastic ones were put back on, although, I was quite surprised that they did last 18 months or so, and today on the way to the post office the alloy tax disc holder decided that the honourable thing to do was to jump off the windscreen rather than wait and be forcibly removed tomorrow !
  8. Anywhere near the Railway museum ? Saw a silver/grey 350 parked up in a side street just past there yesterday as we drove around trying to find somewhere to park and avoid paying £9 on their car park just for the last 2 hours before it closed.
  9. We had just left RAF Halton heading towards the Milton Keynes direction (the Sat Nav for some reason chose the M1 way back as opposed to the M5/M40 way down). I was busy trying to see where the Sat Nav was taking us so if you didn`t see me wave back that`s why - I was a bit late seeing you.
  10. Welcome and good on yer. I`m a pensioner now but only 53 but I do plan on keeping mine well into my 70`s ....... And happy birthday for next month.
  11. On our way back from the Traford Centre in the wife's Mokka about 5.20pm. Silver 350 joined at Jnct 11/Peel Green and left at the next one Liverpool M62/City Centre M602. Saw a blue one a well on the way there but can`t remember whereabouts now. And also a very nice dark orange coloured Lamborghini in the car park - sounded awesome.
  12. Last time we were over in Gainsborough saw exact similar one ! Maybe same one - bet there aren`t many about in that funny "off black" colour ....
  13. A certificate of air worthiness from the Civil Aviation Authority I would think !!
  14. Hi and welcome. If you were going to spend over £20K how come you aren`t looking at a 370 ?
  15. The GT Edition also had revised suspension settings to improve the ride on our crappy roads and are no longer available.
  16. Civilian employees are used to collect evidence all the time - scenes of crime officers are now pretty much all civilians, in GMP anyway. If the guy is operating the speeding camera (which is not a crime just a road traffic offence) then I would suggest he will have been trained for it and was therefore carrying out a legitimate activity unlike the balloon trying to upset him for no apparent reason.
  17. When I click on a video clip in a post it plays really, really bright, almost just a white screen so none of the action can be seen. The sound plays fine. If I enlarge it to full screen the picture is fine, although, some won`t enlarge to full screen with either a double click or clicking on the full screen button ! It seems that Facebook has also been changed recently and I get exactly the same with video clips on there now as well. Anyone any idea why this is happening and any way to correct it ? Another issue with IE maybe ?
  18. Had my bike licence now for 36 years and like to have at least one in the garage, although, it hardly gets used but it`s still there for when I fancy a spin.
  19. You can get HD ones at your local beauty salon...
  20. I know exactly how you feel. Having a tough time with this retirement myself. Should I take the bike or the Zed for a spin today ? Is it going to be nice enough to sit out in the garden with a beer this afternoon ? Can the wife get enough time off work for us to get another holiday in before the end of the year ? and I have a really, really tough time trying to get back to sleep after she has gotten up for work at 4.45am.
  21. I would be curios to know how a "small accident requiring just a new front bumper and side skirt" wrote a 2 year old car off and why it is now only worth £12,000 to him.
  22. As above, think Trading Standards would investigate this sort of thing rather than Crime Stoppers.
  23. An American chappy walking past whilst I was washing it said how nice it was and asked what it was. When I told him he asked if it was a 4 cylinder. When I enlightened him he was quite surprised and claimed they didn`t have them in the States !!!
  24. You need to move to Manchester, beautiful sunshine ! What beautiful sunshine ? It`s just been p*****g down for the last few days. Spray some shampoo on it between showers and leave for the rain to rinse off - job done.
