  1. Oh and if you're selling your car can you give me some details?
  2. I know what you're saying, it's early days, I always try and do as much research on a car as possible but yeh I will have to go try a few. All I'm after is a purpose built, fun, reliable, RWD sports coupe that I can use on weekends etc and not as a DD. When I started this venture a couple of months ago I was looking at buying new (for the warranty, low road tax, no history to worry about) I almost bought a fiesta st mountune but then I though, hang on I'm 32 and I don't want to be seen as a boy racer - been there done that! So I fancied a proper "grown up" sports car something a bit different (humdrum fiestas are everywhere) I looked at the Toyubaru because it was back to basics smiles per hour fun and exclusive. But now I've changed my mind, again lol, and the idea of spending 22k on a car and it losing half its value in 3 years and as fun as it was when I test drove it, I just don't think it's worth the money. I'm not bothered about all the fancy gadgets tbo (apart from air con and heated seats) I just want a cracking drivers car that is a laugh preferbaly not a VAG brand but won't break the bank to maintain.
  3. So I could service it, replace pads, discs whatever myself? Nice.
  4. Is the car easy to work on, accessible engine etc?
  5. After some research I think I'll go for a 07/08 plate 350z with the better engine. It does seem great value compared with the 370 and the reviews on that don't seem as good:unsure: It seems the 350 is more driver focused, b road blaster and the 370 more GT cruiser. Excellent forum btw cheers guys.
  6. I ordered it via carwow and got an off premises cancellation form which allows me to cancel up to 14 days after receiving car so I should be ok touch wood.
  7. This! Tbo I haven't really looked at the 370z, are they much better than their older brother?
  8. The car wasn't a factory order, it was already built and at their depot?
  9. And I could spend the money I've saved on fuel, insurance, tax, track days etc. Yes it won't be new and have a warranty but looking at the price of low mileage 350zs with FSH for what, 10 grand is a no brained to me!
  10. This is a very late minute change of heart as I was supposed to be picking up a new gt86 next week! But have just cancelled the order, I hope I get my deposit back! After thinking about I decided that why the hell spend over 20 grand on a car that will depreciate like mad - as good as the gt86 is, I can get a zed for half that money and it's just as good, faster, rwd, reliable and fun ( I hope)
  11. Ok thanks for that, yeh the fuel economy is another thing that makes me wince but it won't be a dd. Are you guys getting 26mpg or something?
  12. Hi all I'm new to this forum so you know! I'm looking to get a 350z and could afford to buy the later 313 model with low mileage (lucky me!) but put off by the 500 quid road tax! Are the improvements on the newer car worth the hike in tax cost? Thanks in advance
