  1. I would bet the bumper isnt far of that on its own
  2. Phone Nissan, give them your reg and they will source the part, i would struggle to believe Nissan did a completely different switchgear for the jdm market though.
  3. Laying up or not, i would never let the insurance lapse, it could still get stolen/damaged/vandalised/act of god etc
  4. ^^ Yep, ask 3 people which one they would choose out of the P1, 918 and LaFerrari and you would probably get 3 different answers, performance is too similar, so its looks alone
  5. All the info you need http://my350z.com/forum/audio-video-and-electronics-diy/548121-diy-06-base-with-cruise-control-using-uprev-oem-parts.html or you could just speak to one of the breakers on here, zmanalex or emporeor and get the parts 2nd hand.
  6. Great attitude to have, its about the laughs, there will always be someone faster than you on the most part, theres plenty that talk a good game but at least your out there doing it
  7. Yes it has been talked about and is possible, according to the us forums. You will need steering wheel controls, brake and throttle peddle sensors and someone to access the ecu to "turn on" the cruise control, i dont think anyone had followed it through although Abbey Motorsport seem up to speed.
  8. I am with the rest, but if you insist, buy a trickle charger and thats all you need to worry about imho
  9. The old 888's had different compounds but think the new r888r only come in one compund. Ns2r's are available in different compounds and the new ar1 is worth a mention, i have a rear pair (awaiting the new size releases for the fronts) and are very impressive.
  10. I believed the rumoured price is £130k, obviously before spec, from previous threads it seems the feelings are its £130k for a "Honda", so its mostly badge snobbery, although after similar discussions with a gtr now costing £80k i sort of get it, but, as you say with the tech involved, everything else smilar is fantasy money, P1, 918 and LaFerrari. Given the choice between a R8 V10 and the Honda, i would have the Honda, but as ever, if i had a £130k burning a hole in my pocket, it would be neither And dare i say with rumours of the next Gtr being a hybrid, i bet the price of that wont be far off, but knowing Nissan and the Gtr, it will probably be performance in lines of the exotica.
  11. Does that not mean you lost a years no claims though as your policy didnt reach full term?
  12. So the same for everyone then and i would bet they are using the stickiest tyres available. I would certainly suggest you perhaps get something a little wider (still lightweight) so you can run a 275, that will help no end with traction.
  13. Beautiful car, I would love to own one, not so sure I could or would want to spent that kind of money on one though as a 2nd car or weekend toy, nice to have as part of a collection though.
  14. Traction control is a safety measure in an effort to reduce loss of control, not aid traction. What tyre sizes are you running? Also interesting to note Andy James has recently posted with regards to his next season of hillclimbs and sprints and in a bid to be more competetive, a diff is the first thing on his list, but of course you want the best tyres for the job first.
  15. Unless you love your particular 350 or its unique (wide body kit and paint) your better off buying one done and putting your own touches to it to make it your own aesthetically. Unless your looking for big numbers, supercharger is the better option, imho.
  16. Tarmac did do pre 06, there was a group buy on them, worth a call as Zeus says.
  17. Thought about this one but have been told that many aftermarket seats sit higher than the standard Z seats. I'm already struggling with headroom with them being 6 foot plus wearing a helmet so not sure what to do. I think Tarmac do Buddy Club super low rails, but dont know how effective they are, might try to pop to the mini meet and say Hi.
  18. You seem to be chasing numbers, 10-20hp on a 1600kg car is going to be barely noticeable, its just pub talk figures, its all about the drive with these cars dude.
  19. Growing up in the era of Eubank, Ben, Tyson etc, I am afraid I find todays boxing a little lack lustre, there were some proper battles back then, probably not helped by the pay per view on anything half sensible these days. I guess you could say I am not an enthusiast, but dont feel drawn to watch these days.
  20. Well of course you will see it like that because you dont want to see it any other way, just like enjoying the new tg because it had different presenters, the format was basically the same (which you said was dull and stale) apart from a few smatterings, same track, same stig, same star in a car, same made up challenges, except a loud shouty person at the helm. So tgt is a whole lot newer than old tg for those very reasons and that is the topic, nothing to do with the shows and their formats, its just down to personal preference of presenters, if you didnt like the old tg you wont like the new, it was and is a winning formula because of the "whole" package. Budget is irrelevant, given your view its like saying, a track day at Laguna Seca or Yas Marina should be better than a track day at Spa, because it will cost you more to go to Laguna or Yas. How much do you honestly think its going to cost to move venue each show, the logistically costs are scary. I have no idea why you keep on about it being different, people didnt want different, hence tgt, sadly the world doesnt revolve around what Ekona wants to see
  21. It is different, no stig, no star in a reasonable priced car, new track, new location on a weekly basis and if your talking about the "format", why would it be different, it attracted huge viewer ratings, you may have seen there was a bit of a fuss about the trio leaving.
  22. Good news mate, hopefully some track days too? Just a thought for you, is it not worth having a pair of nice light buckets to bolt in and out for events, seats are so easy to take in and out weight saving, support as a bonus?
  23. I agree on both counts, but, that was the complaint you (along with others) made about the original format, old and stale, same old etc but thats exactly what they churned out with CE and you thought it was good, a small feature here or there with CH didnt change the format, the beeb banked on CE pulling in the numbers as an entertainer, he didnt. Of course you will say people wanted it to fail, first episode figures were good ish, seems to me people gave it a chance, but it was the package that was missing and if you dont like JC, you were never going to like the grand tour, its tg with a different name, it was always going to be.
  24. If they had changed the format so it wasnt just the old tg with different presenters probably, but if you want to watch idiots messing around with cars and doing "challenges" i am afraid imho, The Grand Tour will be the one to watch. Tg didnt need a refresh, ratings where massive like the programme or not, but at the point the "idiots" were gone they had to switch it up as for the people that enjoyed the old tg, it wasnt for the cars, it was for JC, RH and JM interaction (again like it or not) and with people like Chris Harris on board i really think they missed a trick to appeal to petrol heads as a proper car show, not CE and MLB driving reliants to wherever they went or Ken Block tearing it up through London, however much i enjoyed that.
  25. Fujitsubo/nismo is the quitest option, never heard the Tanabe. If you search through Keyser threads there is a drive by at Combe of Andys and mine, might give you some idea.
