  1. No offence meant dude, just get a little tired of reading false claims on here of why its good to buy an ev, running costs, environment and the plethora of other reasons the forums ev's jehoavas witness has listed...i dont know why anyone buying seems to want to justify it, if anyone wants an ev, fill your boots, but at some point it will come full circle and the government will switch back to a good old fashioned road tax with incorporate into that the revenue they will be loosing from fuel duty, so we are back to square one, if anyone thinks the future of motoring will be free, well, it wont be and cant be. I cant knock anyone who owns an Elise
  2. Nonsense, i used my 350z for two years and sold it for a little more than i bought it, i guarantee i spent less in fuel and maintenance than you will in depreciation, it all depends on what you class as "running costs" but in reality, depreciation is one of them.
  3. A snip compared to this: http://www.classicandperformancecar.com/peugeot/205/5329/peugeot-205-gti-sells-for-record-31k-at-auction Only going to get more expensive with this ev stuff
  4. Keep hold of those nasty V6 things and you can bet your bottom dollar you could sell it to fund any of that electric stuff come 2040.
  5. Silent motorsport, what fun, i guess that equates to just listening to porn
  6. I dont usually watch practice but lying around with man flu, actually some pretty good chat and not to be smug but interesting to hear ted echo my views that is f1 now entertainment rather than the pinnacle of motorsport. My biggest annoyance with anything regarding health and safety is, "choice", i fully respect safety and saving lives, however, what ever happened to personal choice. So if an F1 driver accepts no halo may result in death, surely thats his decision to make and his risk to take? imho. Ant D also made a very good point regarding the tracks, run off areas etc the tracks should be made more challenging, he claims he had more focus when not presented with acres of run off rather than a gravel trap, so is this in a way adding the danger, i.e the drivers are going faster as they know if they make an error they can just use the run off, but in a freak accident there is nothing to slow them down before hitting barriers? So with the 2040 thing, manufacturers will be jumping to forumla e so imho you might as well just get f1 back to having v8, v10's or v12's and make it the most exiting, fastest motorsport available.
  7. As you have said before, if you want to watch motorsport, there are far far more interesting series, F1 has been nothing but "entertainment" for a number of years now imho and if you like motorsport, F1 isnt even that entertaining.
  8. Probably due their WRC efforts this year
  9. An on topic question given the hyper car hybrid content, i appreciate thats a pretty special lap, but given the hype (and cost) surrounding these being the "future" of super/hyper cars and breaking the 7 min lap seemed the holy grail, is it really all that when you can buy one of 2 Lamborghini's that lap the ring in under 7 minutes, compared to the only documented time from the 918 of 6.57, the Hurucan is 5 secs quicker and Aventador 2 secs slower which lets face it at around a 7 min lap is neither here nor there between all of them, even the Nismo GTR was only 10 secs off the Porsche.
  10. The La Ferrari has grown on me, there were a couple at Ferrari Egham when i went up with a mate and had a chance to have a real good look around, much more special in the flesh, i guess its just Porsches way to keep churning out unimaginative designs, i bet the designers were reaching for the original Carrera GT blueprints, started from there and were done by lunch
  11. The Porsche looks as dull as it did the day it came out, i guess it must look different through the Porsche fanboi rose coloured specs though
  12. I have had mtecs and dba's i can honestly say they were both put under high stress on track (fi'd zed) and had no problems with either, so at that point i see little point in justifying twice the money for dba's.
  13. Just ask the dealer how many owners its had, the v5 really doesnt tell you much else about its history or details, unless engine/vin numbers are important.
  14. Jetpilot

    MOT failed

I cant see they could pull you up if its freshly painted and shiny new dude!
  15. Jetpilot

    MOT failed

Remove w brace, get it sand blasted and paint with metal paint, jobs a good un for £25 or so, no need to replace.
  16. Thou shall not...... So what happens if you break the 10 commandments, or is the answer f*ck all?
  17. I wish someone would tell Gangzoom that
  18. Apologies if its in the article but not profitable for who?
  19. I am with you op, do not like ebc pads, any i have tried just feel wooden with zero feel. I was always used ds2500 and thought you couldnt get much better for my intended use but on varying reviews tried the cl5+ as recommended above, definitely another level to ds2500.
  20. Same as here. In fact. looking at the skin/wallpaper i see behind, this is all i see on the tab.
  21. I just seem to get a wallpaper/skin with a zed badge, if i scroll it shows some text but then jumps to the top of the page and all i see is the wallpaper/skin, browsing on android with chrome.
  22. I cant seem to view the site on my tablet?
  23. Genuine wing, bumper, headlight plus other bits and pieces inc all labour probably puts in write off territory. beaten to it by Alex
  24. Oh dear, dont let Nub see this thread Its all pub talk and dyno figures op, 350-360-370, you wouldnt likely notice the difference even if those figures were 100% gospel truth, which they wouldnt be as all dynos vary
