Mine too. It's a sign your tunes aren't turned up loud enough. The Zed is the only car I've driven where you want the headunit volume to auto adjust inversely with engine revs. It should be really loud at idle and silent when you floor it!

I have a mate who insists on dividing his maintenance costs between stealers and Halfords. They've had a fortune off him to maintain his civic of late (think it's a Friday afternoon model averaging over £2k p.a.!) and I keep urging him to find a decent Jap/Honda/Civic indie garage. Can anyone who knows these parts of the world recommend anyone good? I don't know the area that well (I think it's somewhere south of Derby!) and I know even less about Hondas. Thanks anyone who can help.

I keep considering an ebay flip key, but I get the fear of the top notch metal snapping off and leaving a nice chunk in the ignition.

Awesome trip and some cool pics, love the lambo shot. I'm off to Switzerland shortly (no Zed sadly as flying) but I've got a similar route to yours planned for next summer in the Zed, hopefully slightly fewer mechanicals though.

Edward Snowden told me Alex invented Zeditis in a garage up north by mixing special quantities of Nissan coolant, diff fluid and Brembo brake dust in an old Zed sump, using a dipstick as an agitator. He spreads a fine layer of it on the inside of each parcel that goes out, next day. Then drinks the rest to maintain his Zed superhero powers Your an agitator. Do try and squeeze a verb into your sentences if you can, they make more sense.

I had mine flushed at service and the tech said after he felt there was air in there, but they couldn't shift it, so sent me off with instructions to drive home and check. Sure enough it was down a chunk when I arrived, but quick top up later and it's all good. Hopefully that's all it is.

It's the centre console I'd want doing, the scratches dive me mental.

Grrrr. Why are these places never up north? What's the turnaround likely to be for a good flocking? Could I drive down get flocked all weekend and drive home?

I quite like the gearbox TBH, feels like you're really operating a bit of machinery, though it's not the quickest to shift - I rarely feel the need to race through the gears. Bur I think it's GT leanings, over out and out sports, quite suit me and I'll freely admit to having limited powerful car experience...
