  1. Can't believe I've only just seen this, engrossing reading your updates and I love a pic. I have little clue about any of it, but it's fascinating. Epic skills, subscribed.
  2. VBH talked me into a Zed with her review and in tribute my exhaust note is exactly the same as her Marlboro Red sponsored voice. If Clarkson doesn't like it, that's a positive review for me.
  3. and nice wheels!
  4. Which ones do you go for BBK?
  5. Never seen these before. sound freaky. Do they just go on the drive wheels or all round?
  6. I've had a few as rentals, not STs but still be great fun, nicely appointed interior too I thought. Did you find it felt a bit bigger inside than it looks? That could just be me beinga midget...
  7. How many boxes do you think landed today? dos! BOOM Must have mine - as mine hasn't arrived <mutters something about jammy dodgers> I've fessed up to Richard, I felt bad getting too much free stuff. Once is good, twice is great, but three times... It's only a little outfit, it's not amazon or Barclays, they never double up in error.
  8. How many boxes do you think landed today? dos! BOOM
  9. Great photos, great trip. This lot is definitely on my list!
  10. Looks like an interesting build, not bad starting point either! Looking forward to seeing what you get up to.
  11. Well if you're asking I don't hate my Hertz amp either http://www.pasmag.com/car-audio/reports/2216-test-reporthertz-hdp5-amplifier- or the front Hertz components http://caraudionow.com/hertz-hsk-165-6-5-component-car-speaker-review/ or the rear Hertz coaxials http://caraudionow.com/best-6-5-coaxial-car-speakers/ It's very probably not the loudest, but I find it is an improvement over the Bose in terms of detail. I'd probably put some dynamat on your shopping list too, my rear section does like to vibrate at volume, even with it in.
  12. What SMD said. I've not heard a crackle with my hertz combo with avh-x2500 BT. In fact, I find I'm hearing less and less of everything these days when they've been cranked up to 11
  13. Hehehe. Next not mods are not installing reverse camera, not getting Berks, not changing centre caps and definitely not plasti-dipping the rear strut cover. Photo updates to come... sometime
  14. Nice Zed, love OEM shots! Congrats and looking forward to the inevitable build thread
  15. You mean the 'Waaaaa Waaaaaa Waaaaaaa' Maybe they did..... Well jel. Anyone done this mod? Is there a guide on here?
  16. Ghostbusters car rules. Did they play the siren? Tell me they did...
  17. Nice. Thanks for revealing your secrets! How do you rate Lightroom? I only really use aperture and iPhoto, plus a basic HDR application.
  18. Great photos Love this shot. It looks almost desaturated in parts (stop sign, unit on left) and over saturated in others (plates, toolbox, poster). Is this how it came off the camera or has there been some magic applied? Nice skills either way.
  19. If you don't sort with Daryl, I think I've got some lying around. Didn't really inspect them when they came off. I'll have a look later and send pics if they're decent and you are still in need.
  20. Have a gander at ccleaner if you haven't already got it. It's free. Do a quick registry check and fix any errors. Also use it to check what loads at startup and kill any unnecessary items. Whilst you're at it you may as well run the cleaner too. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner Depending on your confidence levels, just leave it on default settings or if you know what you're up to have a tinker with them.
  21. The avatar is my other Zed, from Gran Turismo. I'd be less keen on getting that kind of air in my GM!
  22. Nice job. Looks mint. I'm getting too old (32) for applying stages by hand; how accessible is DA rotary for a beginner? I don't want to go making a mess of my reasonable paint.
  23. Stay cool, by the end she won't want to come home! I went away to school as a kid when my parents were getting divorced, and had many similar calls at first. It was tough to begin with on both ends (I only found out about parental guilt many years later, probably shouldn't have played on it so much looking back) I was only young and in a foreign country with a strange language (Scotland) but once you get over it, it's just hanging out with your mates all the time. Everyone loves that. Stay strong and she'll be all good at the end of it, if she's not begging to come home then it can't be all bad there. I'm not a parent (I've seen kids on TV though) but I appreciate it must be tough for you.
  24. Right. The appradio allegedly works. When I bought mine it supported iPhone 4, I had iPhone 5. It streamed music and calls via Bluetooth and via a USB cable no problem from iPhone 5, but app radio (including playing media like videos) had none of it - not even from my 32-pin iPad. I believe a new version of firmware now supports iPhone 5 and a lightning cable, however, make sure you read up and get the kit if you have iPhone 5. It needs not only a cable from Pioneer but also the av cable from apple to make it all happen. For me, I can't be arsed to buy kit, take it out and upgrade firmware - all for the novelty of streaming video and a few apps. The HU touchscreen is ok, but not even close to iPhone, so if I want to use apps in the car (very rarely) I just grab my phone and save 10 minutes messing about! In short, make sure your phone works with your firmware and cables, if you upgrade firmware, do it before you install. The USB is round the back, which looks nice but isn't easy to reach. For some rubbish reason you can't upgrade firmware from a cd or dvd. Have a look here http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/support/software/tax/946/page.html and here http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/products/25/38/301/CD-IV202AV/page.html Good luck with it!
