  1. Cool thanks for the help will get it on a ramp and have a butchers, also like the cheap.. fix jubilee clip if it does the job - Ta!
  2. Got a rattle when in first and second gear really - can't hear anything past them anyway, is it common for maybe a metal exhaust cover or something could do this if loose? It's 2003 zed so expect the odd rattle now and again! Any ideas? Thanks
  3. Hi... Few locals in Warks then I'm from Stratford upon Avon - know any local places that do body work touch up? Got a few little bits I want sorted. Ta
  4. It's really hard to tell that there was play in it from looking under the car - I just chanced it and went by what other members said on here, your prob sounds just like mine, got the banana bar off ebay £70 - fitted for £50...sorted
  5. Just thought I would post an update, got banana bar changed yesterday - no rattle:) thanks for the help on this!
  6. Might just have to fork out for a banana bar then £250 (worst case scenario) - could be bushes £30 tho...dilemma, does give a good deep rattle over rubbish road and think for extra cost I know I am gonna walk away from garage next time I book it in with no annoying rattle.
  7. Sound- so if u had to guess its the banana bar (bush or ball joint) or lower control arm you would go for the deep rattle over uneven road problem being linked to banana bar every time? So hard to diagnose exact problem looking under car...bit of a pain and could be costly, I have seen OEM lower control arm £70 on ebay. Decision decisions- still owe my mechanic £300 from other work...looks like that's gonna go up.
  8. What's the difference in labour time to change the bush or change whole banana arm? I don't want to take to the garage for the bush change and to drive off and it's still rattles? Suppose bushes £30.... What the damage forOEM arm? Thank for your help so far.
  9. Hi, Does anyone have these parts for sale they're for the front drivers side of 350Z Coupe. I want to fix an annoying rattle (hard to diagnose) and it is down to these two parts that could be at fault (mechanic said try replacing control arm first cheaper to replace). What’s the price be for new and second hand parts? Spent quite a bit of cash on bushes and drop links so happy for low mileage parts if poss. Thanks
  10. Hi, still got issues with this clunking noise (drivers side) over rough uneven roads, had my mechanic look at it again on the ramps with and without pressure on wheel, nothing jumped out - he said that it could be the lower control arm or the compression bar....he said its hard to put your finger on the exact issue as quite a bit worn, bushes, etc on my 2003 car. Do I go for lower control arm first as I understand its a lot cheaper than compression arm?? Any advice...what would the cost of the parts be? Thanks
  11. O right don't wanna spend that ha. I might have to come to you CS - what would you charge if it were the banana bar? It's the front right side (80% sure of this)!
  12. So you don't think it will be .....crack in the rubber of track rod ends on both sides, as I mentioned in original post? Stick with banana bar or suspension arm area then...thanks for all the possibilities just need someone that can diagnose it correctly so I don't replace parts for the fun of it. I am based about 25 min from Coventry. I have a Nissan garage in leamington spa will they charge just to have a look diagnose problem??? Silly question ..ha!
  13. Would you replace both sides at the same time or can u just do one? How much do the parts cost? Thanks
  14. I have changed my front antil roll bar links, ball joint and bushes on my 2003 350z - I still have this rattle/clunk when going down rubbish roads or over bumps v annoying. My mechanic had a look and couldn't see anything that jumped out as being the issue- he did say there was a crack in the rubber of track rod ends on both sides- but this passed the mot a month ago- when he twisted the rob end with his hand there was a tapping sound...he said new track rod end and shock absorber mounts could do the trick, but not 100% sure!!! I don't want to chase a rattle and spend a fortune, which is the way I'm heading - any clues/advice? Thanks
  15. Hi, I have a bit of bubbling on paint work (about a square inch) near petrol cap and I can see a bit of rust appearing, I could do with getting it sorted along with a few other minor touch ups. Anyone recommend a local body shop that's not extortionate? Thanks
