  1. Anyone been in or seen the back seats in Challenger? Big enough for a small adult male? Does it have rear windows?
  2. I love the Delorean, you just don't see many in real life, special treat. Thanks for sharing. As for the Mustang, I've managed to find a convertible Camaro today, so I think I'm pretty well set on having another one of those, plus on a purely practical point I believe the boot is a bit bigger than the Mustang. Just need to talk my mates out of a Dodge Ram or a Cadillac Escalade
  3. Word of mouth is your best guarantee, I've been really lucky and found someone excellent first time off, due to a sparkling recommendation and I'm never more than 6 feet from the car whatever job they're up to. I know not everyone can take time off work to watch a tech in action, but it's been a great learning experience for me and I know she gets treated right. Where are you based? There's bound to be someone localish who can point you in the right direction.
  4. I'm having some trouble with my key and attempting a re-program Saturday, I can't give you any definitive answers but in the thread I started there's links to 4 separate threads on this topic. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/83154-remote-out-of-sync/

  7. Nout wrong with a Wrangler Although, pack light and get a Vette It's not that there's anything wrong with one, it did make my list after all, it's just I really want muscle! I'd love a Vette but no amount of light packing is going to get rid of the second passenger I know all the mustang's and camero's are cool . . . but . . http://www.cadillac.com/cts-v-sport-coupe.html A 6.2L Supercharged V8 . . Hubba hubba, I could live with that, just need to find one in Miami or Orlando. Failing that I'm going pure Clark Griswold.

  9. Ooooh, US trips are fun, cool pics too I've got Florida later this year. Gutted to read your Mustang comment, I'm scouring the major rental companies for a convertible and I cannot find a ragtop Camaro I had in Cali last time, a Mustang was next on my list, followed by a Jeep Wrangler . The search continues...
  10. Best workaround I've read, and I work in IT, so I see workarounds all day long.
  11. Formula Silver, it's so fit.
  12. Yeah, but you know it's good yeah, COS IT'S GOT PLENTY OF CAPS TEXT.
  13. All this talk of screwing down bits of wood at an ingress has made me think of only one thing.
  14. Bang up to date, if th picture is no good, just adjust the tracking dial
  15. Wow, is it me or are they crazily bunched up for a track day as opposed to a race?
  16. Better post some more pics then
  17. The stock system is muddy. You could always do the speakers yourself and see if it yields the results you're after but I fear they amp is as much to blame as them. A decent audio shop should give you some options for a variety of budgets, but don't sink too much into it unless you're fully committed. Fundamentally IMHO the 350z cabin isn't a great place to work with. You've got tweeters in the pillar an inch from your face, mids buried in the footwell with an inch of thick plastic in front of them and then (probably) full range an inch from the back of your head. To top it off, every single inch of plastic in there wants to resonate FWIW I'm pleased with my setup, check my build thread in my sig for details, but it's far from 'perfect'.
  18. I'm desperate to get involved on a project but have no space, trying to remedy that with a house, but imagine that might chomp up some of DI. Nothing amazing just a track toy would be ace. I'm going to Florida later this year, I'd hate to find an old muscle car and have to ship it back to the UK
  19. Cheers Neilp. If anyone stumbles upon this thread looking for the same thing, I found four threads, some different processes and only one thread reports anyone actually successfully executing a re-programme http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/15223-re-programming-the-key-fobs/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/80350-how-to-reprogramme-key-fob-uk-models/ http://www.350z-uk.com/index.php?showtopic=46866 Winner: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/15186-how-do-you-program-the-key-fob-to-the-car/ Bit now as I don't want to brick my functioning remote, or erase its place from the stored 4. Given it might take a few stabs, I'll wait until Sat AM so I've got 2 clear days to nail it then update this thread.
  20. It was a toss up between that and the TVR for me, but I preferred the interior of the TVR, inasmuch as it has one
  21. So whilst The Shark went in to have an intermittent speaker cut out investigated, I also asked the electronics chap to check out my second key, specifically the remote part. The key's remote central locking has not been working for a while (replaced battery), and my primary key is fully functional. Anyway, after having a look at it he advised that the remote is still emitting a signal when you push the buttons, it's just not the one the car is expecting. Something like... When you lock/unlock via remote, to prevent some enterprising thief from picking up your "signal" and then playing it back to your car and unlocking it, they rotate through (presumably a fixed) cycle of "handshakes". Therefore, only the remote and the car know what the next handshake is going to be. Apparently my second key has "forgotten" which handshake the car is expecting and the car refuses to play ball. Now the questions: 1) does this all sound plausibly non-BS? 2) do I have any alternative than a trip to the stealer to get this resolved? 3) anyone else battled with this? As always, thanks for any help.
  22. Where's the Transit van on this list? I'm sure I read on here they're faster than a 350 off the mark
  23. Great vids Dan It looks like a ton of fun Spa and the MR2 looks a great choice for a track toy. Once I get the house sorted I simply must get involved in a little track toy action myself. Kudos for owning up to the oil too
