  1. They look mint mate, nice job.
  2. Much to my horror I noticed one of these is missing when giving the interior a quick hoover. Anyone got one they'd send my way for a modest fee please? I'm not sure how long I can live without one. Ta.
  3. Not much in the mod stakes, but as I'm due a service soon I had a panel arrive and thought I'll save my tech 2 minutes and do it myself - guide to follow All looks pretty clean when I whipped it out. But then the dirty side :scare: Good for 10bhp at least I reckon.
  4. I did my lip a couple of months after it went on, it's a pisser but it wasn't too expensive to put right.
  5. No it's from outside Dan if you read ostego's post n#3.I have a similar squeak that's just started recently presumably because of how wet the last few months have been and now it's drying up a bit. Definitely from outside and underneath the car. No big deal just a bit annoying more than anything. If I can get to the offending pivot point without the need for a ramp then I'll sort it myself otherwise it'll have to wait till my MOT in May. Not sure who Dan is, but I hear you. I read "windows closed" but my brain said "windows open".
  6. Is the squeak from inside the cabin? If so, is it not just the big spring in the footwell on the back of the clutch pedal? Mine used to squeak there, until I white lithium greased it in the face a few times.
  7. I just installed the java 7 update on my iMac, running Mavericks http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp Live timings now working in safari.
  8. Anyone been on one of the airboats in the glades? Are they as awesome as they look on Flipper and Gentle Ben?
  9. Don't know what they're like behind the wheel, but I saw one blitz a track day at croft in the wet. It hammered round and looked like the fastest thing out there all day long, and there were a couple of 911s, an M5 and an AWD R32 out too, so not exactly slouches. If you test drive and like it, I'd guess they're all kinds of fun.
  10. It was good to chat to you on Sunday Pete, especially about your trips to the States. Colorado is on the list, but it just won't be this time I don't think. Gives me something to plan for after this though!
  11. Cool to get a bumper pack of goodies like that to go on, exciting times!
  12. Looks cool, nice and glossy.
  13. We did a loop, SF > LA > San Diego > Flagstaff > Grand Canyon > Vegas > Yosemite > Fresno > Sacramento > SF in 2011, loved it and immediately decided to go back to the US in future. I'd love to do a cross country but it limits the cars on offer and there's a penalty to pay for leaving it somewhere else, so looking at another loop. I'd like to get out of state check out the UFOs in New Mexico if we're going to fly into somewhere in Texas.
  14. Machine guns and rotate licence plate?
  15. Probably September hopefully there'll be some everyday Jazz going on
  16. Sounds like my kind of activity, thanks!
  17. Not so much checks and maintenance, more obvious behaviour, don't' thrash it until warm but make sure you blow the cobwebs out on a regular basis! Doesn't hurt to check the air filter is nice and clean every now and again.
  18. I've talked a few mates into a road trip in the US, but I want to go: In and around Florida; Miami, The Keys, Everglades, Cape Canaveral, Orlando, Tampa, New Orleans. Another wants to go: In and around Texas; Dallas, Houston, Austin, New Orleans, Cows, Horses, Fat People. Anyone been to one, or ideally, both states? Got any advice or suggestions? Any MUST SEE places or MUST DO activities? Thanks, Stu. PS - I realise that New Orleans is in neither state, but we would do a drive out, also if there's something amazeballz in a neighbouring state, please do tell.
  19. along mate, show us the Beast!
  20. Exactly, allow Homer to explain. Lisa: By your logic I could claim that this rock keeps tigers away. Homer: Oh, how does it work? Lisa: It doesn't work. Homer: Uh-huh. Lisa: It's just a stupid rock. Homer: Uh-huh. Lisa: But I don't see any tigers around, do you? [Homer thinks of this, then pulls out some money] Homer: Lisa, I want to buy your rock.
  21. I'm confused, that's all kinds of wrong.
  22. I have seen that but never actually known anyone to have done it successfully. Bit full on for such an awful HU. Totally, I wouldn't go for another Bose one if it was free. By the time you buy one then get stealer/specialist to sort out, you could have a good unit.
  23. I believe the headunit is married to the ECU, but it can be divorced and married to a new one. http://www.350z-uk.com/index.php?showtopic=19459 I'd go aftermarket though, it'll be so much better whatever your budget, especially if you are prepared to shell out a few quid.
  24. So you're a highly talented automotive engineer with a perfected Zed, a budget and the urge to work on something? If it was me, I'd leave the Zed as it is and if I had your skills there's literally only one thing I'd be doing. I'd buy this: and turn it into this: and then I'd let me come round of a weekend and touch it.
  25. I love this, it's brilliant, great purchase.
