They look sweet as, nice job.

It's not the flashiest looking, nor the best brand, but I love my Seiko Kinetic Titanium, it's dressy enough for smart, understated enough for everyday, and it takes knock and bangs like a champ. I never leave home without it. Sensibly priced too. http://www.firstclasswatches.co.uk/seiko-gents-kinetic-titanium-ska214p1-p-584.html I'd love a Rolex Submariner one day.

Amazon pricing too clever for its own good?
Stutopia replied to stanski's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Their pricing since the lovefilm takeover which now covers the lovefilm/amazon prime/amazon instant video 3-for-1 deal is too clever for me! -
I made a teenager's head explode at a dealer by asking for the plastic cap that covers the seat anchor bolt. After they replaced him with a new drone it took them a week to source!

Can you also geo fence with them now? In case it wanders out of your postcode in the middle of the night, or an enthusiastic garage technician feels the need to "test drive" it when you've left it with them.

Cheapest by a mile for me, I had no NCB though as hadn't owned a car for years, so the 10 month plan was a win. Even with the 10 months, pro rata'd up they won. Decent about mods too.

It's a very valid point, particularly on the resistive rather than capacitive touchscreen. Mine is a bit laggy when you compare it to say an iPhone or iPad. It's quite quick when compared to an android phone though Definitely try them if this will be a PITA for you.

Extremely easy, I asked a tech to do it when it was in for another job At the time as I was too scared to take the bumper off alone, as I didn't want to drop it and scratch it on my drive. I've since "loosened" the bumper on my own when I did the reverse cam install, and it wasn't as bad as I'd feared. A second pair of hands might be useful or simply just putting something on the deck so that if you do drop it, it doesn't get scratched. I think I used this guide: http://www.350z-tech.com/wiki/index.php?title=Rear_Bumper_Removal Make sure you've definitely got your bulbs sorted or any LED upgrades your doing beforehand as it's not something I'd want to do alone more times than is necessary. Usual disclaimers apply, it's all your own fault etc etc.

Sticky nipple Stu ? I think it just got gummed up, some sort of fluid discharge or build up once I gave it a clean it was back in working order!

Lost was decent the first season or so IMO, but like all successful US shows they keep flogging for three seasons too many to squeeze every drop of cash out. The Fawlty Towers rule should be enforced more, keep it pure, don't dilute it out.

Thanks! I think they're the logical conclusion, perhaps a powder coat would do the job nicely. Maybe paint the dipstick too. The weapon r tanks are really nice bits of kit, if you can get some, I say do it!
-
Nice detail, paint looks great.

Before you get the sockets out, take 2 mins to just tweak the door close nipple in the shut a few times and see if the window leaps up and down. Mine misbehaved for a while and caused the window to misbehave.

In other Zeditis news I went to see my man about finalising up my project. Got a date booked in for June now, so just need to do some more legwork and then that should happen in due course. This will represent the end of my build project and me being cured of Zeditis.

Been a busy little Zed day today, firstly had a service at Grinspeed - top quality job as usual, can't rate them highly enough and I continue to learn and enjoy being able to hang around whilst the work is being done. In addition to the service, had some goodies from Tarmac (excellent service as usual ) put in too. Some shiny weapon-r tanks to help my bay project along a bit. it's coming along nicely now I think, I might change out the samco intake for something more shiny though... Last, but certainly not least, I popped in my new 14N boot divider, really pleased with this - thanks Ian

Ahhhhh thats interesting, thats one of the models i was looking at!! how much did you pay for it? and hows the performance compared with the oem system? can you post a pickie of it in the car?? Here you go bud, pic of the unit installed, chavtastic background image is optional I paid £465 for the work, not sure how much of that was headunit, adapter for steering controls, fascia panel, iPhone cable and labour - but that was about a year ago now, I bet you could get the headunit on its own for about £250-£300 Performance is hard for me to say as I only had the OEM for about a fortnight before ripping it out, couldn't live with no iPhone connection for my music or lack of bluetooth. Also, shortly after I replaced the headunit I also had the amp, sub, front and rear speakers replaced. So I couldn't say how much was just down to the headunit, but for me to have done the extra work so quickly afterward I can't have been that happy with the sound (the functionality was a massive step up though, I can say that). As a general rule of thumb in audio, your system is only as good as your weakest component, so if you just did the headunit I would expect an improvement, but not massive as the bose amp, sub and speakers will still be holding you back. Also when you spend money on audio you WANT it to sound better so generally you convince yourself it does In terms of the whole setup versus OEM, I can promise you it's night and day, but the Hertz amp and speakers are a huge factor in that.

Must be an AT-AT conversion surely? You'd never get two sets of golf clubs in an AT-ST! No but quite fancy rocking upto a golf course in one though Here you go, perfect.

I'd prefer a dial too, but tend to use steering controls mostly. As for the beep, I could've sworn there wasn't one, so I just went out to check. It's definitely there, but it's quite quiet, certainly more quiet than my music volume + the engine. I can't believe I've just blocked this beep out until now! It's gonna p!ss me right off, thanks
