  1. Would definitely recommend at Vincent's arms. Would also definitely book as it is likely to be very busy. I might pop down but won't be on the track as the car needs some work before its tracked
  2. Elvington is an old airfield that is regularly used for track days. I was down the other weekend and they must have had a huge selection of cars, maybe 30 plus supercars. However I'm not too clued up on the driver courses more the driving experiences. If its the same company that are running the event as the one I saw you will have a great day. Lots of nice cars, passenger rides etc. Might pop down so keep an eye out for a black 350z.
  3. Where is the track near York? I live less than a mile from Elvington?
  4. I did 80km today on the bike, not sure I will be able to walk in the morning. Good Luck!
  5. Looks like those machines that featured in Fast and the Furious 6. Bet this doesn't have the ability to drive under cars head on.
  6. Good luck and all the best for the ride. Me and a few pals are also looking to do some long distance cycle this year, we are just heading out this morning for a training ride.
  7. Parked next to a GM or Silver at tonights viewing of Fast and the Furious 6. Are you on here? Your parking was nearly as bad as mine
  8. This same problem stumped me for weeks. I reset the airbag light using the above procedure only to find it re appear within a few days. Turned out to be a copy of EVO magazine that had managed to find itself under the chair. Fingers crossed the light hasn't come on since.
  9. I always wash the car again after claying, that removes any residue
  10. Is there a definitive way to check if a clutch needs replacing? Mine will be approaching the 40k mark in the next couple of months and I know a lot go around this mileage?
  11. Please could someone tell me what wheels these are?
  12. As mentioned in the other thread I will be making an appearence at some time during the evening
  13. By saying Ive parked there before I just meant that I was unaware that any signs had been placed there and that they are not obvious. Chances are I will pay the fine in 14 days and just forget about it. I just wondered if there were any rules about road markings / signs on lamposts
  14. Unfortunately today I received a parking ticket from the council. Now the street that I had parked down must have only just become a permit only area as I have parked down this street many times. There are no road markings to say it is a permit only street, and there are no signs on any lamposts. The street itself is about 300m long and a dead end. There is 2 small signs either side of the entrance to the street (I missed these) stating that from beyond this point it is a permits holder only area. About 20 cars also had the same notice on them when I returned. So do I have any comeback bearing in mind the above. The signs at the beginning of the street are not obvious and they are the only ones? Usually dont streets have markings or signs on lamposts. I parked at the end of the street so the signs were not visible. Its only £70 or £35 if I pay within 14 days, but its £35 more than it should have cost me.
  15. I have the same problem after jet washing the arches. Its a loud squeak that is coming from under the car when releasing the clutch pedal. I hope its as simple as applying some grease!
  16. I guess the answer to your question is yes. Once its had a good run out and is properly warmed up the noise goes altogether. I dont think I would be able to pick the noise up on camera as it is literally so quiet and more of a hum / buzz that last for a very short time (2 seconds). Im pretty sure that it will just be me over thinking things but just wondered if anyone else had had a similar experience
  17. How do these things go? Pics or it didn't happen?
  18. I have recently noticed the zed to make a wierd, almost like a humming noise that sounds to come from the engine bay directly behind the stereo whenever the needle hits 1750RPM. It only occures for about 1 - 2 seconds when accelerating slowly and once the needle has passed this mark it dissapears and continues as normal. The noise goes when the car is warmed up fully. Hopefully it is nothing too serious, just wondered if anyone would know what this could be? Many Thanks
  19. as above, add as many female drivers as you can. Also stating that I parked my car on the street rather than in a locked garage saved me alot of money so might be worth a try. I paid 1800 TPFT first year on a 1.2 clio when I was 17. At 21 I pay 700 on the zed after 4 years NCB was built up.
  20. I think any car you buy within the first 3 years of its like is likely to loose alot of value, but I always thought Mini's were good for holding value? Read plenty of good reviews on the JCW Cooper S and always thought the convertible Cooper S JCW was a great looking car, if a little expensive.
  21. First one is stunning, other 2 arent half bad mind you
  22. Seen this before, Ive always wondered if its setup as that is just too funny to be true. No doubt he does take a big hit though.
  23. Evening All I thought after 5 months of 350z ownership it was about time I put up an introductory message. As title, the car in question is a Black 350z GT with the Alezan interior. So far I am very impressed with the car. I use it as the daily to get back and forward to work and so far it has been faultless. Ive come from a Fiesta ST500 and in comparison the ride of the zed is so much comfier than the ST with much better holding and road presence. The zed can be driven comfortably below 2k revs where there is enough torque to keep it going in any gear. However when the time allows there seems to be endless power right to the top end when the right foot gets heavy and it will take off in any gear. Ive heard alot of people complain about the poor interior, however the seats are comfortable and provide plenty of support. The dash is made from a cheap plastic but interior quality isnt really what zed ownership is about. You sit nice and low in the cabin with plenty of room for both driver and passenger, although visibility over the shoulder is pretty poor. I know all forums like pictures, so enough talking and time for some images. Unfortunately I only have the one of the zed but at the moment it is only a standard GT. I do however have some pictures of my previous cars. First car was a 1.2 Renault Clio. ( This may be why I dont think the interior quality of the zed is that bad!). I spent alot of time and money modifying the clio to look like a Renault Sport 172. Looking back now I wish I hadnt bothered. Next on the list was a slightly quick Ford Fiesta Zetec S. 100bhp meant it was nippy enough and the fiesta was a huge step up in terms of quality over the clio. Only modification were Eibach 30mm lowering springs. 6 months down the Zetec S was traded in for the ST500. A limited edition version of the MK6 ST. 2.0l Duratec engine producing around 150bhp. Things were starting to get a little faster. The ST also gave me the first taste of track action, hopefully something I wish to continue in the zed. And now for the zed. A very nice set up from the ST with nearly twice the power and rear wheel drive. Front bushes need replacing, new tyres will be fitted. I also plan on upgrading the discs and pads and installing a Miltek exhaust system with some form of intake upgrade. Plan is to keep it looking pretty much standard but with some subtle mods to spice things up a little. I will be attending the Jap meet at Squires cafe, Sherburn in Elmet, a week on Tuesday if anyone else will be heading that way. I look forward to meeting you and many happy times in the zed.
  24. Welcome to the forum. I am also a fellow Cliosport.net member. I used to own a clio, then had a brief stint in an ST but I still visit the site regularly as there is alot of information on there that isn't just about Clios. Hope your enjoying the 350 so far!
  25. I have also noticed this exact same problem. Im sorry I can not help but would be interested in anyone can?
