  1. I will also be paying you guys a visit shortly. Looking to have a stage 2 package installed. Best get saving!
  2. As above, as long as service history is up to scratch there shouldnt be a problem with a higher mileage engine. From what Ive heard the engines are pretty much bulletproof and will out live the rest of the components. Good luck with the search
  3. WOW That has to be one of the most tastefully modded zeds I have ever seen!
  4. Thanks for the reply. Malton isn't too far away from me so will have to look into it.
  5. Hi all Im looking for a specialist in the above. I will be needing some work done to the 350 over the next year and would like to find a reputable specialist that can help me out. Anyone got any recomendations for garages in the York / Yorkshire region. Willing to travel. Ive been browsing through Horsham Developments website, and it looks great but it is too far for me to travel to have parts fitted etc. Thanks in advance
  6. As above. Today at around 6:00pm. Nurburgring sticker on the back
  7. If I were to win the lottery an R34 would be very high up on the to buy list. Think I would prefer one over an R35
  8. Over the last few months the village I live in has had some pretty bad flooding. (2 out of 3 roads into the village closed due to flooding). I can only see this flooding getting worse and due to the small number of houses affected in the village the council are unwilling to provide / improve flood defences. So im looking to buy a 4x4 capable of dealing with a few feet of flood water and a bit of off roading. Looking to spend about £1000. Condition / miles dont matter. Just needs to be reliable and capable. Suggestions?
  9. is there a guide anywhere as to how to go about diagnosing the problem and the costs involved? My car has this problem, only at low speeds over bumps and it is definitely coming from the drivers side. Any suggestions please? Thanks
  10. Apologies for dragging this thread up after been 3 years of being dormant, I have recently purchased a 2005 GT model and have been experiencing a burning smell under very hard acceleration when the revs stray about 5k. I can only smell this when the window is down and the smell instantly dissapears as soon as it came when normal speed is resumed. All fluid levels remain the same as the previous week and the car is always allowed to reach full temperature before any spirited driving takes place. Did anything come from the feedback from this thread? I appreciate the car will be working very hard when under this kind of acceleration but should it be making this smell. My only concern is if it was coming from the exhaust surely I wouldnt be able to smell it as I am sat in front of the exhaust pipes, which would mean the smell is coming from the engine? Car is on 30,000 miles, and on the original clutch but there are no signs of any slippage. During normal running there are no burning smells at all.
  11. Thanks for the suggestions certainly some interesting cars in that selection. We have previously had a TF135 before I still think the 160 isnt a bad shout bearing in mind all belt/exhausts and head gaskets are done. Seem to be able to pick up them up for next to nothing with fairly low miles(under 50k) but I suppose they are cheap for a reason.
  12. Planning a trip down to the Monaco Grand Prix this year and need a suitable car for the job. Dont want to put the miles on the 350z even though it would be the perfect car to travel down in. After something fun and reliable but on a budget of 2.5 -3k. Will possibly be getting motorail one way so after something that can be thrown about and not have to worry about. Must be a convertible. So far have narrowed it down to: Mazda MX5 MG TF Any others I should consider?
  13. I used to live just down the road from The Fox and Roman on Tadcaster Road York. There used to be 2 zeds, black and white, unsure of specs that would park up regulary. I now live elsewhere so have no idea if you still go, or if you are on here.
  14. I looked at a '05 roadster with just 18,000 miles on the clock. Thats about 2500 miles a year!
  15. Im sure this latest F&F film will be as fake and silly as ever. However I absolutely love the entire collection so will definitely be going to see number 6. Any info on a release date for the UK? Will be interesting to see what exotic cars they have spent their money on
  16. Airbag warning light randomly started flashing today, going to try re setting as above in the morning. Any ideas why it would start flashing. I also assume that it will start flashing again after a while so will have to do this again?
  17. So after a very long week, and waking up at 6.30 this morning and not been able to get back to sleep I have finally made picked the car up. It really is everything I had imagined and a whole load more. Just thought I would post up some first thoughts after a day of ownership. First impressions. I think the best way I can describe how the car looks is to describe it as handsome. The Kuro black paintwork when polished is the best colour for any car. Contrasting with the silver Rays wheels covered by the front and rear wide arches. The alezan leather interior again contrasts the black paintwork and matches the gold brembo brakes. You put the keys in the ignition and 3 clicks round you feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end as there is a dirty filthy V6 bellow front the exhaust pipes. The power is effortless. There is no need to 'rag the tits' out of the engine to get it to shift. It pulls in any gear at any speed. When you do fancy a bit of spirited driving and drop it a gear or 2 down there is just a surge of power and an earful of V6 noise. It really is a great all round car. It is also a car that is appreciated by everyone old and young and certainly turns a few heads.Pound per pound performance wise it truly is great value for money. The shape and styling hasnt really changed much since 2003 but yet it doesnt look a year out of date and has all the optional extras you could wish for in a car. As you can tell im pretty please with my purchase. I wish to thank you all for advice and guidance provided both in my threads and around the forum. Im planning on creating a build thread, although I think it will be a little while before any upgrades are made. Main priorities are to keep it clean and get it driven. I also plan on making a thread with the day to day running costs that I experience. Thanks again
  18. another day gone, anyone able to help with the above question? I just want to be 100% sure
  19. Evening, just got a quick question. Ive been reading alot of speculation about issues with running the car on regular fuel, as the car is used I have no idea what it has been previously run on in its previous life. For peace of mind I would like to run it on super unleaded. Now this may sound like a stupid question but I thought I had best check. Can I just put 98 unleaded into the tank regardless of whether its been run on the standard stuff or not?
  20. Im going to try and resist for as long as I can. Havent even picked the car up yet but already browsing through the for sale section and thinking "wouldnt mind that"
  21. Hello Everyone Thought I would take the time to introduce myself again for the second time. Signed up to the site looking for advice and guidance on buying a 350z. The site certainly hasnt let me down with all the useful information and buying guides. And finally today after much thought I have placed a deposit on a Black GT coupe due to be picked up on Saturday. To say I am over the moon is an under statement. Im not planning on doing much modding, the main goal is to keep it as clean and tidy as possible. I may look at some induction and exhaust upgrades at a later date. Will get some scenic pictures on the way back on Saturday, watch this space.
  22. Apologies, must have pressed it twice, report please delete
