Have you tried the bedding in procedure first ? (usually gets rid of it) Typically it's just some crap on the disc.

It's worth having a search on PH, lots of different views. Essentially, it seems like the car will run smoother, get a bit of a boost for MPG - but it certainly wont be like an engine spring clean that they claim.

Depends how well it's been serviced I imagine.

Let the Forum know when you have done it.. Absolutely, I've just got some other bits to sort out first (Cobra exhaust being priority 1) Oooh - ok, definitely keep us posted on this ! I'd really like to see a dyno pull on it, just to see if there are really any differences like that as well.

Intriguing, I'll potentially do this as well, there is a center about 5 mins from me that does it.

Yeah ALWAYS take care there, even more so on tourist days. I can't wait to get back ! Interesting to note about some bits he'd done to his car on the 2nd video posted: 'There is a lot of mods. Bilstein PSS10, H&R sway bars, Cusco arms, AP Racing front brakes (6 pots calipers + 362x32 discs only on the front, stock rear brakes), Pagid RS29 pads, Rota P45R 8.5 and 9.5" x 18" with 245 front and 265 rear Michelin PSS (PZero at the time of this vid). ESP totally disabled (electrical mod), Recaro bucket seats + harness, light battery, no spare wheel. Stock engine but air filter + bigger plenum + headers + decat + Invidia G300 catback and a remap. 300ps on the dyno. (280ps model but 265ps on the dyno without the mods). Stronger bushings and a good geometry with -3° front and -2° rear negative camber for increased cornering grip.' (sounded awesome!)

Good to know your experience though ! I've not had anything major done on any of my cars there. Out of curiosity, where did you go in the end or should I say, where do you normally go now ? EDITED initial post now.

What did you have done & when was it ? I will be popping back there to have the brakes bled though as the pedal feels a bit spongy still. I'll report back on that.

If you were close by I'd show you my car to see if that's what you meant, I've not experienced any boomy sound in the cabin from the exhaust. I used to have drone in the old MR2 but I think you get that more with 4 cylinders than 5+.

Good to see this happening, I have something vaguely similar-ish to what I have in mind but it's not just the engine... I wonder about all of the other parts working out, and of course - total cost

BTW - it IS a good thread ! Actually very useful info here.

I'm doing the bracing first, then will decide about whether or not to go ARB or CO/Damper change.
