  1. This bracket, I didn't want to over tighten it...
  2. Hey guys, finally got my head underneath it :-D Nothing is moving at all, literally perfect fit for all parts. Heat shields are in good condition BUT I noticed that I can ping it and it moves where it's not fixed to the car, and this seems like it could be the culprit as it's thin enough to make that kind of sound. I also checked the mid pipe fitting, does it need to be tightened up so that the bracket touches itself? (pic coming in a moment)
  3. A black Z4M Coupe, very nice car indeed. I'd rather that over a 350/370z without a doubt. TBH the best thing to do is drive all of them.

  6. Hey Brad, I've already got plans this evening, and tomorrow I'm back down in Surrey to try and resolve my exhaust issues. Otherwise I would have come over to AT LEAST make cups of tea/coffee I tend to snap bolts as well but always willing to learn and I try what I can. It's worth getting the Nissan stuff, the gearbox feels better on it, and try some molyslip as well if it needs it. But for now, I imagine whatever you can find will do.   7. Argh, I hope that isn't the problem as with the Scorpion in place, it was absolutely fine. However if it is, I don't think it's even a year old (the y-pipe), so I guess I could sell for £250 if needs be
  8. Yep, that's exactly what Sly said as well. If I can stop the rattles, then I can at least figure out what to do next.
  9. Many thanks guys, as my car is currently back in Surrey, I can only prod around on the weekend with it. So once I'm back there tomorrow, I'll get her up and start checking. All bolts are definitely tight (I checked, and Kwikfit checked). We moved the mid pipe bracket into the correct place, as it initially wasn't quite right. They did check for fouling, and wobbled the pipes but nothing was obvious (of course I'll be checking again). I didn't use any exhaust gasket sealant, is it worth putting some on ? I know it's not rocket science, so hopefully I can at least identify the issue tomorrow. I'll also try and take photo's if that's of any use (I probably have it on upside down or something ) Oh, and lastly I can re-record it with a proper microphone if needs be.

So, off came the Scorpion (which isn't quite for sale just yet, as I don't know what to do) and I fitted my new Cobra exhaust last weekend, so it's now going: stock manifolds h-dev decats stillen y-pipe non resonated cobra First of all, it's utterly ridiculous but since it's not a daily drive I may keep it like this, or I'll be trying to find ways to turn it down slightly (maybe silenced decats). However, for now I'm trying to figure out what the hell is making all of the rattles, as it's irritating beyond belief. I'm hoping I can get back to the car tomorrow, and either have a go myself, or take it up to Kwikfit again for further prodding around (these guys are fine near me for this sort of thing). Of course I've got some tips from CS, and will drop it off to Sly if I'm completely flummoxed as to what's causing it.   12. y-pipe doesn't really change the sound. I went from a standard one to stillen, no real difference imho. Change the cats.

  16. Yeah a few videos reviews are up but it IS bloody expensive though, plus the charging is going to be a pain in the arse until there are loads more around (the supercharge stations are around 30mins? iirc) Evo rated it pretty highly if that's anything to go by.

Could give you a few banzai laps to give you some pointers and an honest assessment of you and your cars abilities and you can start to implement changes from there onwards.í ½í¸Ž Damn it, I'm in Madrid but certainly up for that in the future.

  22. I'd recommend a mk2 MR2 n/a or turbo tin top. Cheap, reliable, fun and pretty light.
