Good to know your experience though ! I've not had anything major done on any of my cars there. Out of curiosity, where did you go in the end or should I say, where do you normally go now ? EDITED initial post now.

What did you have done & when was it ? I will be popping back there to have the brakes bled though as the pedal feels a bit spongy still. I'll report back on that.

If you were close by I'd show you my car to see if that's what you meant, I've not experienced any boomy sound in the cabin from the exhaust. I used to have drone in the old MR2 but I think you get that more with 4 cylinders than 5+.

My one sounds a bit hissy but that's the decats, overall, I like the sound but want some more volume (but it's plenty loud enough over 3000rpm).

Is there any way, at all, to get new members to use the search function prior to posting ? Like some kind of message to them if they have less than 50 posts for example. Of course not everyone is guilty of asking the same old pap but it's something I notice that happens a lot. (the irony is, I'm fairly certain this has been posted 1000x as well )

Springs will be the cheapest, quickest option (and it's what I'll try initially as well with Tein S, not too low, just right imho). Search the forums for before and after photo's as well. You can, if you wish change the springs and damper, Bilstein B8's are designed for lowering springs. Coilovers are far more fiddly but can be finely adjusted.

Yeah, I personally think as long as you understand it's not going to be like a GT3RS engine (unless you have the ££££) - there's nothing wrong with doing bits and pieces. Of course, FI would make more sense but hey, some reasonable gains to be had ! (IMHO)

Don't buy any crappy ones though - look at the materials they are made from, you don't want the sucker cracking !

Could be worth spraying some injector cleaner into the intake as well, and/or a bottle of Cataclean - I tend to do that every 6 months or so.

Hmm, perhaps get someone else to have a butchers at it if people are thinking along those lines... How long have you had it, and been driving it around ?

Argh BUT it may well be worth popping another engine in there, I presume yours was standard ?
