  1. Glad it all worked out well for you, it looks really tidy condition for the year, nice low mileage and a great price. Congrats.
  2. That would probably be enough to buy yourself a large tin of #54 Humbrol to do them yourself.
  3. Can you feel anything through the gear lever? Does it happen in every gear? Does it happen throughout the rev range? When changing gear does it feel the same or is it stiffer, looser, notchy? Really could do with a little more info.
  4. Do the pedal dance and record it on your phone. You can then concentrate on getting the timings right and when you've completed it you can watch the recording and count the flashes to get the fault code.
  5. I've got a brand new, unused sandwich plate if you're in need of one.
  6. You could save your money and record the flashes using your smartphone. This way you can concentrate on getting the timings right and then go back and watch the recording of the flashes and count them to get your code.
  7. It you haven't got a code reader then use your phone to record the lights as you go through the pedal dance. This way you can concentrate on getting the timings right and you can watch the recording later to count the lights to get your fault code.
  8. If you're only doing short journeys in it then I'd be inclined to take it for a blast down the motorway or an A road every week or two. Nothing does more damage to an engine than short runs when it doesn't have chance to warm up properly. Its a fairly big motor so it going to take longer to warm up properly than a 1600. Your MPG will suffer on short runs as well, I can virtually double my MPG when I go on the motorway as compared to trundling round town which gets me about 18MPG. if you're able to do a basic service yourself I'd consider changing the oil every 3K or 6 months (which will probably come sooner than 3K).
  9. Hey Mike, welcome to the forum and congrats on the purchase of your Zed.
  10. I hope all goes well for you Dean and the Zed lives up to your expectations. Let us know how you get on. At least by having a bit of a test drive at a dealer you've got an idea of what to expect. I've had my '04 GT for just under two years and still get a buzz every time I open the door an drive off. The only problem I've had is a knackered O/S window motor which was fixed under warranty(and is a common problem), other than that and a side light bulb blowing it has gone straight through its MOT's and is a joy to drive.
  11. Welcome to the forum, I hope you manage to purchase a Zed pretty soon, preferably one with a full NSH and lots of stamps in the service book.
  12. I'm not sure how much the OEM door seals cost but would it be worth getting one or a pair from a breakers off a low mileage Zed. Treat them with Gummi Pflege, that should keep them in good condition and prevent them from going hard or cracking.
  13. Spotted this at the airport on sunday but didn't have time to queue and buy it. Will pick up a copy on my return, unless I see a copy on my travels but I doubt that very much, so i'll have to wait.
  14. Spotted a Le Mans Blue 370Z parked up in Newbold near Rugby, couldn't see what year it was as I'd virtually driven past it before I laid eyes on it.
  15. Should I congratulate you on your recent wedding? I've got a similar problem with a cherry blossom tree on the green over the road from where I live but it's never caused me the problem you're suffering. The worst of it is when it rains and the bloody stuff sticks to the paint when it dries.
  16. Welcome to the forum and congrats on the purchase of your red Zed.
  17. Welcome to the forum and congrats on the purchase of your Zed.
  18. Welcome to the forum and congrats on the purchase of your 350.
  19. Welcome to the forum and congrats on the purchase of your 370.
  20. Wow you were getting 40mpg? I've never got anywhere near that but I do have a club foot. Damn shame that you've bought a car only to find you've got to spend a few hundred quid getting it sorted.
  21. Hey Dean that does sound like a pretty good deal as long as everything is OK. Does it have NSH? Welcome to Zedland
  22. I've seen this before and PMPL (pi**ed my pants laughing). This wins Ricer of the decade.
  23. I'd be sorting myself out with a nice shiny exhaust.
