  1. Whilst I appreciate the weight saving, I much prefer the look of the GT4 wheels compared to the Rays (although they're both made by Rays).
  2. As KyleR mentions "pootling about" with these on you car, I think I'd rather spend more money in the knowledge that the product I'd have fitted to my Zed would be suitable/fit for the job it was intended for.
  3. You might be correct when you mention your exhaust as I've been encountering the same problem as you on my '04 GT. I managed to fix it this morning. The noise was originating from the chrome tips of the exhaust back box which had come slightly loose and were vibrating when both accelerating and decelerating. The noise became less obtrusive when on a long run and the exhaust got very warm. I managed to fix it by squeezing/pinching the tips where they roll over into the inner bore of the tip. Even when cold, no more ticking or rattling on either acceleration or deceleration. Problem solved.
  4. Totally agree with 350zedd, this is what I did to mine when I fitted it.
  5. I much prefer the lines of the 350Z which flow a lot more than the 370. The 370 is too angular for my taste, whereas the 350 has lines that flow and are more rounded, especially the boot. The boot on the 370 looks like its been drawn with a ruler and looks odd. Give me the bodyshape of the 350Z any day of the week.
  6. I would imagine the safest way of finding out if your engine is warm enough to thrash to within an inch of its life is to fit an oil temperature gauge, then you'll know for sure. Otherwise a run of 10 miles+ should be enough to make sure the engine has reached optimum temperature.
  7. Like quite a few other members, my Zed seems to cause quite a stir, I've had quite a few positive reactions, especially on the motorway where I seem to get quite a few toots on the horn of other cars followed by a wave. I also got into a conversation with an older guy who had one of the original 240Z's when they were new in the country. This was my favourite car when I was a kid and one of the few cars that when I was older I swore I would own. Unfortunately they got fatter and heavier as the newer models came out, the 280 being the worst of the lot. When the 350Z I knew I had to get one. I've never looked back.
  8. Welcome to the forum. Save yourself the hassle, go for an aftermarket one.
  9. Welcome and congratz on your purchase.
  10. Keyser, are you prepared to split these at all as I'm only after the gear lever surround as mine is scratched to (well its scratched pretty badly)?
  11. They seem to fit the arches a treat, I take it no spacers are needed in order to get that full arch look? They do look gorgeous I must admit. GLWS.
  12. I just love white Rota grids set against Azure Blue, shame my Zed finances have been set aside for a couple of other things. GLWS.
  13. What size are the tyres? And what width are the rims? I suppose what I'm asking is, are the wheels the same widths as the standard set up?
  14. This has got to be the biggest pain in the ass regarding the Zed, even with a torch its a pain.
  15. I know this is a bit of a late reply, but if you contact www.wiperblades.co.uk they supply their own manufactured blades that do not squeal and do not leave any residue (smearing) of rubber on the windscreen. These are the best blades I've use in over 20 years of driving. I have no affiliation with this company other than being a happy customer.
  16. Its just a thought, but if you got pulled with these you'd have to take them off there and then and I've a feeling that they're not cheap. They don't look tinted they look opaque to me so 5-0 would have a field day. Plus you'd be quite a few quid out of pocket as they wouldn't let you move your car without you tearing them off.
  17. Welcome to the forum and congratz on your purchase. I wouldn't take it to a main dealer, there are some fantastic independents spread around the country, it all depends where you are located.
