    LEGO!

You're probably right, but as I'm not a Star Wars fan, I haven't looked into those prices much at all. The Ghostbusters car was £45 and over 500 pieces, what do you think of that pricing? I think for the 2 hours of fun I had with the other half building it and the great display piece it will be coupled with the nostalgia of the 80's, it was a freaking bargain

    LEGO!

I agree to some extent, the prices have went up by about 75%, but the prices of everything have too. The kits are just as big, if not bigger than back then and certainly more detailed. There are a few parts new to me in the Ghostbusters kit, lots of little triangle bits and smooth bits used for the sides. Prices are usually between 5 and 9 pence per piece on average, which I think is pretty good and can be less than that for the huge pieces. The deathstar is about 4000 pieces and worth every penny of the price tag, unfortunately they've been making them for quite a long time so they won't hold their value/go up as much as some other pieces. The Deathstar II is far better looking anyway and the one I'd have if I was interested in Star Wars. My biggest regret is 4 1/2 years ago when I last got the idea to buy some LEGO as I was off sick from work for 8 weeks and I was thinking of buying the Taj Mahal for £200. It's just under 5000 pieces and still the biggest LEGO has ever made, but I couldn't justify the price. But now, having started looking at some of the larger kits I see that second hand kits are seeking on average for £900, and BNIB even more again. LEGO is a goldmine if you can guess what will be worth the most in the future and by future I mean only a few years. Only 3 years ago they stopped making the Taj Mahal.
  3. A thread on another forum sparked off my interest in this again. I can remember 15 years ago having my own bodyweight in the stuff until my mum gave it all away First one I went for I bought 2 of I'm hoping it'll be worth a few quid in the future due to the theme. Infact it's not even a LEGO creation, it's part of the LEGO Ideas community where the public create the kits and basically pitch it to LEGO. Look it up, some very cool stuff on there. So here it is, my first LEGO kit in over 15 years GHOSTBUSTERS!!! Brought back great memories from 15+ years ago when I last played with LEGO. I also found out that there may be the Ghostbusters Fire Station coming out also. The other piece is quite a bit bigger, twice the pieces and about 2 feet long with a WORKING diff :O Can't wait to get stuck into it with the other half who also helped me with the GB car and is loving it as much as I am. I also have a massive kit being shipped to me as we speak, but i'll keep that to myself until it's here
  4. Just for future reference, all items bought in the UK carry a 2 year warranty, despite what original manufactures say in the packaging. It's probably the only good thing to come out of being in the EU to be fair. The first year is the manufacturers obligation to carry out warranty work, the second year is the stores. So if you hadn't have opened it up, you may have got it repaired/replaced FOC
  5. PUT YOUR ****ing WIPERS DOWN!!! Awesome machine, mate, I'd love to have a go at one
  6. There are no additional checks on a P3 compared to a P2. Check the service schedule. Coolant change is not part of either a P1, P2 or P3 - it is done every 3 years as an additional service item. I repeat, there was never any difference between a P2 and a P3 except Nissan stealers ripping us off................. I did, that's where I got the info.
  7. I guessed, so did the person before me
  8. The bulbs are about £25 a pair on eBay for good ones, don't worry about buying the Philips or Osram ones as they're a waste of money and don't buy too cheap as they'll probably fail. Regarding your issue, I found my lights to be fine
  9. You mean it's been going strong for 3 years, right?
  10. I'd hazard a guess at something similar to you, only et15 front and rear would be my choice.
  11. PS - they're still awesome, though
  12. An RS6 is not a supercar... it doesn't matter if it has nearly the same engine as a Lamborghini, it's still a barge like the M cars. Infact, the M5/M6 have an engine based on BMW's F1 engine
  13. Diesel sports car? Isn't that an oxymoron? Unless she does upwards of 15k a year I wouldn't be even considering diesels, but if your hell bent on one, get a Leon.
  14. Now that does sound amazing!!
  15. Nope sorry, all the Ferraris fault in my opinion. At the end of the day it was he who cut across the GTR causing the incident. However, if they weren't both ******* racing on public roads then it wouldn't have happened either.
  16. £270 is a bargain, someone get them bought!!
  17. I love my M6 The box takes a bit of getting used too. It's not exactly an autobox, but can act like it to some extent. It's took me over 400 miles of driving to really understand it. The drive is amazing and i've never set in a more comfortable car. You can switch everything off if you want some fun time In fact you can set it to adjust the suspension to your set preference, shift rates etc all at the push of one button, not to mention the extra 100hp is gives you Practicality isn't great if you're talking about the back seats. It's not too bad and depending on how tall the driver is you can fit two adults in the back, but ideally no one over 5'6". The M5 of course is better in this department with proper back seats, but loses boot space and it's ugly as @*!# Having never driven an M5, I can't compare the 2, but as you said, the M6 is lighter and has a lower COG, so may handle a bit better. But considering you would have to be one hell of a pilot to even come close to out performing either, it doesn't really matter which handles better because the M6 is so much better looking
  18. Throttle controllers don't adjust the throttle response, they simply alter the signal between the pedal and the ecu to tell it that there is more throttle being given than there actually is. i.e. on SP9 mode, if you depress the pedal by 15%, the throttle controller will tell the ecu that you pedal is at 100%. I had one in my car and enjoyed it, more so in eco7 mode where it gained me an extra mpg or 2.
  19. There was a 370 sitting outside my work yesterday as I arrived, both me and the other half got a little sentimental and missed the 350
  20. Lots of people selling fake stuff too. Noticed a few on local buying/selling facebook pages selling Beats for £30, MK watches for £20 etc etc. I comment on as many as I see, mentioning that these are not the real McCoy and be aware of this before you purchase. The amount of threats of physical violence I get from the sellers/scammers is hilarious
  21. Me too It just looks familiar, but could just look similar to a members.
  22. I never seen your other thread, so this is the first I've heard of this. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. If the previous owner wasn't such a clueless idiot you could have avoided all of this. I recognise the car BTW, not sure if thats been mentioned in the other thread, but it appears to be a forum member, which makes it even worse. Dikhead.
