  1. Only ever seen them in the states. Is yours busted?
  2. Ah didn't realise they had a left/right beam adjuster.
  3. Sorry you seem to have misunderstood me. I'm not referring to the halo's, LEDs etc, I'm referring to the fact that those US light will have the beam aimed to the right, ie. oncoming traffic, right in other drivers eyes, whereas if you were in the states you'd be driving on the right hand side of the road and the beam would then be pointing at the side of the road, where it should be. You can buy adapters to correct the beam, however, so maybe have a wee search for them as it'll come in handy for driving if you don't want other road users blinded whilst you drive past, plus it won't pass mot.
  4. Those aren't legal for use in the UK unless you've got the throw of the headlights adjusted to the left for driving on the left hand side of the road, otherwise you'll be dazzling oncoming traffic.
  5. Do both sides to see if there's a difference. It should be quite hard to push down and spring up once you let go quite strong, if its easy to push down and doesn't pop back up quickly, it's busted.

    Set of Rays

Rays are lightweight track rims, in all formats, so them being heavy is the 2nd clue to them not being rays, the first being that they havnt got rays engineering and forged embossed on them
  7. Have you tried pushing on the offside to check the damper?

    Set of Rays

Which site did you get that from? Wouldn't be the first time a review site got their facts wrong

    Set of Rays

GT4 aren't Rays and are quite heavy but are the same staggered sizes and offsets I believe. A set of Rays in good contrition ie. just returned are gonna cost about £5-600 and average condition will be about £450 with rubber.
  10. They are technically right, it is only against one car, in terms of it can only be used for one car at a time, but generally most insurers will add an amount of discount for a second car if you're adding it to the policy. If however you split the cars off to different companies, you'll most likely start at 0 on the Fiesta, despite it being insured last year. I think the only way of getting 2x NCB on a multicar policy is if there are 2 drivers, each gets 1 year if you set it up correctly. Thats what I did in 2012, 2 cars, 2 people, one person collecting NCB on each car.
  11. But you/they can't fashion years of NCB from thin air. Many insurers will give you an equivalent NCB on a second car, same as they will also give you discount if you are a named driver for X years, but you still dont have additional NCB, unless you stay with them then they'll keep the discount running. They are wrong about it being against each car, because then you'd have 0 NCB everytime you buy a new car. You only gain NCB on a policy, so multi car will only get you a years NCB, not 2x1years NCB. It is possible that when you explain things to a new insurer they will still give you discount for the Fiesta, but they don't have to as you don't have NCB for it. Good luck, though, i'll be interested to see what happens.
  12. Your NCB isn't vehicle specific. You could change your car every year for 10 years and have 10 year NCB, so it's very possible to own a car for one year and have 8 years NCB on that policy. If they send you 2 renewal letter, 1 for each car separately, and they both list 8 Years NCB, they will both still have the same policy number and therefore it would be a form of fraud to use your 8 years on both cars separately.
  13. Your best bet is a local member going with you and there are a few in your neck of the woods. At 70k the clutch will probably need replaced soon if its not already slipping, all depends how it's been driven. 70k on the motorway doesn't require many gear changes, but 70k in town etc does. Keyser and Buster will sort that for you anyway
  14. Exact same set up as me, guess I don't need to do a fly by now

    Help with tyres

Good point from Ekona! Plus the 18's will be lighter, rim and rubber and cheaper tyres, offsetting the extra cost of the rays in the first place.

    Insurance? ?

You tried the guys on the forum? Sky and prestige...
  21. It'll be on bags, raise it up and drive away comfortably...
  22. There's normally a 2.73% front to rear difference as stock, I run 3.21% with 0 problems with "stock" 19" sizes and with your new set up there will be a 2.01% difference. So, i'd say it would be ok
  23. What make I'd it out of curiosity? Don't see any samco etc markings.
  24. Strip missing and it looks like it has one of those silver plate mounts from eBay. Shut line looks ok to me, could be angle/shadow? Paint looks ok, lighting? Yup, wrong lights. So it looks like it was the Hulk who vandalized the car then Ricey is right, does look like there have been repairs to both front and rear, although the rear as I said before could have been smashed lights.
