  2. Yeah well that's put me off of those! Didn't have audio on as im at work, but he appears to have spun in a straight line...
  3. Don't know if using rain dispersant in the shower is a good idea. I use the Fog-x on my bathroom mirror
  4. BUY IT!!! Ive places 2x orders this morning for them.2-4 days delivery.
  5. Im sorry, I must have missed the recent upgrade to diamond studded brake pads....
  6. Ahh, thought you said there was.
  7. Theres no switch on the throttle. When cruising you can give it some beans to overtake then let off again and it will revert to cruise speed. The most likely place id check would definitely be the two micro switches on the pedals. These are normally always pressed, they are activated when the pedal is released, however if the system detects the switch is released (like when you put your foot down on the brake) for a long period of time it will flash the error light and disable the system. Now. Stu, does your only show the error thingymabob when you press the On/Off switch?
  8. Nope. Theres a little rod by the rear passenger wheel. One end connected a sensor and one to some other piece of metal connected to the suspension (very technical, I assure you! lol). When you load up the boot, the sensor readings change as this little rod pivots, it then auto adjusts the correct amount when you start the car. HTH
  9. Yeah, well it should be able to provide you with the code numbers. Let us know what they are, that will diagnose the fault.
  10. Ahh so those were your Eibach ARB's sat in sly's workshot last Saturday were they. Car looks brill mate.
  11. Car Phone Warehouse? Lol, no I know you meant CPW locksmiths il pop in one day!
  12. Yes! The zed is my DD, 70 miles a day to and from work. luckily I share driving with a colleague so I drive 1 week, he does the next. But yes, I always, every year since I started driving average 24,000 mikes a year. I've owned the zed for about 10 months and am on 20,000 already. My last car I bought on 89k miles and sold it 2.5 years later on 147,000 (23,200 miles a year on average!)
  13. Go to CPS in town, they will happily cut you a key Crown Prosecution Service?
  14. Agree with Lee there. I wasn't trying to blame you earlier, just trying to figure out how such a thing was physically possible. Dont the clutch and brakes share the same master cylinder? I could be totally wrong ofcourse! I cant think of anything else that would mean you could only press the pedals 20%. This would mean that at the same time you had a faulty TC system as well as a fault with the master cylinder, both physical and electrical faults simultaneously! Its easy for us to all say "do this, do that" etc, but I can imagine the first 0.5 seconds after you realised the brakes didn't work you panicked, as we all would. Personally given the time of course, id have gone for the ignition, that would have at least killed the engine and the cruise control. If there was enough time you could restart the engine and apply the brakes, assuming they now worked. Alternatively, head for the gravel on the outer edge of the shoulder, but you clearly just didn't have the thinking time
  15. Hey all. I remember reading somewhere that one of the factory install options was a TPMS system. From what I recall, it had a receiver unit which was mounted in the passenger A pillar and ofcourse 4 wireless sensors. The readings were supposed to come out on the multi function screen in the middle of the dash. Well, I want one. Has anyone done, or can anyone advise as to whether you can just source the hardware and it works? My reasoning is that wiring looms across all cars are generally the same. For example, (cant remember if it was this, or my previous car) the car was a manual, but still had the electrical connections around the gearstick designed for an auto stick instead. It can be done with the bluetooth system so im hoping the TPMS is the same. Not sure is Alex ever has any card in for breaking with this fitted but I can get the sensors online.
  16. Well, if you want one, I happen to know Sly at kaizer has one for sale. Pushing around 600bhp, think north of 30k though I spent about 20 mins staring at it last weekend when I was there for some work.
  17. Neither do I sadly, I have issues storing my cleaning habbit in my studio flat!, but she'd never see me if I had a double garage. Plus it would be half garage half workshop Luckilly the house were looking at buying comes with a shed
  18. Indeed, Dat' ass! And a hunter alignment looking at the PC under the drivers side wheel (or were you just using the ramp!)
  19. I like the comparison photos of the standard vs led rear lights. I often chuckle to myself when I brake im illuminating road signs 50m back on the other side of the road, they are VERY bright. What modification did you make to the connector and why, out of interest?
  20. Stock piling is the way to go. Much to the annoyance of the mrs that says theyre a waste of money and are taking up too much space
  21. Not too bad, can be bought from ebay for about 20 quid, but then you need to get the new blade cut and have a dealer program the key to the car, this cant be done at home, its something im trying to do atm but my local key shop (Timpson) refused to cut my blade. They said that eBay keys had trashed so many of their cutting blades and theyre always too hard or too soft.
  22. Lol, theres nothing wrong with cruise control. Remember the zed is fly by wire anyway, theres no physical link between the ever trusty right foot and the throttle body, all the CC is doing is acting as the throttle pedal sending the same electrical signals to the throttle body as your foot would. Its concerning it wouldn't turn off, very strange indeed, but I use mine on dual carriageway's especially when traveling at night as I can keep a perfect average speed and not get leg ache. Surely the brakes did something to retard the speed, I mean, its the same as applying the brakes when your accelerating, but it would have had some effect unless you have a brake issue, that is a physical link.. Id say the valuation is pretty good. I bought my 04 plate about 10-11 months ago for 6500. Only difference between mine and yours was the rays wheels. Mine was on 47,000 miles with full Nissan service history and some minor mods (powerflow exhaust, black vinyl roof)
  23. Jeez! Its an old topic so prices may have changed, but Alex was selling spark plug set for £45 iirc, all you need is a spark plug socket from Halfords for 8 quid and about 45 mins of time. £180...seriously Nissan!
