  1. Agreed, follow the guide linked above, with the greese and you will be fine. Just don't do what I (and someone else) did and hammer the axle bolt thing too hard and bugger up the threads. Luckilly mine were only slightly damaged on the first 1-2 and I was able to sort it, but you can end up needing a new one...
  2. Correct Pete for £15 id be up for this. Its annoying when you have arms full of shopping that you need two hands to open the boot. I did do the penny trick, but saw the damage starting to happen and removed them.
  3. Thought I may as well add. Been working fine with my iPhone 5 on IOS7 and tested with friends 5S, again, IOS7. all works good.
  4. that's incredible, I honest to god thought they were 2 different calipers, even the lettering changes colour!!
  5. Well, the standard mirror fuse is in the fusebox in the footwell, iirc its just labled "Mirror" on the diagram you get. It should already be a 10A one however.
  6. Ok, this should help you. Im really unsure about the fused power mirror lead, I cant see why this is required, but im obviously missing something... (was it to control the on/off state of the white sidelights by using the mirror folding switch, if so, that also seems silly, oh wait I wana turn the leds off but that also folds my mirrors... lol
  7. I'm on the mobile ATM so il have a proper look later, but yes scotch locks are fine. They're what I provide with my kits and the ones I'm using myself with no problems so far
  8. Right, looks as though those white connectors fit into each other so you can easily remove the led mod without having to de-wire everything. Its those two bundles of wires you need to be looking at Did you receive any instructions at all as the wire colours are obviously important. Can scan them in and drop me a PM if you like, or post here The black box of tricks full of silicone will be the relays and electronics to control dimming and the switchback mode but you don't have to worry about those.
  9. Is uk law too that if you have HIDS you must have headlamp washers and self levellers
  10. Just to assist you, I have an adaptor in a 2003 car and it works fine with iphone 5 on iOS 7.0.4

  12. Really, so why do the Audi's not do so. When their main beams come on, the DRL's don't dip and become sidelights, they just stay the same. Anyways tell that to the millions of others out there, including all my kits which don't. The way I have seen them installed is as you suggested however, a direct feed from the battery with an inline fuse. Rickdon, if you stick up a picture of the connections you need to make (the wires and stuff) il see what I can figure out.
  13. Im in, and updated the list to include others before me. 1.vansman66 2.Richmillions 3.Whacky Will. 4.The Bounty Bar Kid 5.Paddy78 6.cs2000 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15.
  14. Another suggestion if I may. The biggest issue with these FAQ's guides is the reliance on external image hosters both staying alive and people not moving/deleting them. For all approved guides how about the mod/admin that approves it uploads them to the FTP server (space dependant of course) that holds the site and as such as long as the forums is alive, the FAQ's will always have valid pictures. It would increase administrative effort, but seems a shame to do this tidy up when in a years time a good chunk of guides could be dead image wise. If you need space/bandwidth give me a shout.
  15. totally, couldn't agree more! Maybe add a mod review option on this forum so they only contain faq's and guides, like the for sale forum.
  16. Lol, I don't like cyclists at the best of times (nor caravans...) BUT il tolerate them on the road, as long as they stick to the side of the road (not in the bloody middle) or stay in the marked cycle lanes if they also happen to be in the road. However, where I live, the pavements are 12ft wide with separate coloured tarmac (vlack for poedestrians and red for bikes, split with painted white lines and signs to tell pedestrians its a cycle way and STILL the condom wearing ones (those stupid skin tight lycra wearning mofos) cycle in the road. I should add, this road has a lot of bollards in the middle so you cant overtake them....
  17. LOL, id be surprised too if a saw an alpaca blocking a yellow box junction on the north circular... Back on topic. The driving standard of a large chunk of people in this country leave a lot to be admired. Boils my blood when I see cars with non functioning lights, you can clearly see from the car when driving that half the road isn't lit of properly, therefore change your bulb, you're breaking the law! I always keep a full set of spares in the car. Then theres the idiots that drift info your lane on a roundabout and give you the finger when you honk at them for almost forcing you off the road And as for lights. Unless its a nice sunny day, or visibility is 100% I leave my lights on. Even if I can see perfectly well, im more concerned about other seeing me. Im aware that being a silver car means its easy to disappear in road water spray. In my country they would all be stoned to death. (and cyclists who don't use the provided cycle lanes and cycle on my road...)

    Drifting

Lol "oh, I was at spa the other day" you know, as you do... Not jelous at all...
  19. I do have my shift indicator set at 3,500RPM however so im usually shifting before/at this point anyway. I think your the only person who has it set to anything other than 6,600rpm in a DE Shh, I thougt id gotten away with that one I normally stay below the 3,500 solid light, the flashing in my peripheral vision, along with the engine noise lets me know to change gear. Unless im motoring of course in which case I ignore it. Its also a decent level to have it set at as its made me save a few mpg on fuel (2-3) and also with the zed gaining speed so easily, the flashing starts in 6th gear at 82mph, so I know if ive hit it im going a tad too fast, was helpful when the zed was new to me and I was always surprised how fast I was going with no effort.
  20. Ok, really REALLY sorry for the issues with the vanity bulbs, and also the time its taken to find a solution, let me explain. Immediately after finding out the bulbs were having issues fitting, I scoured the web and p;laced an order for some very hard to find 27mm festoons. 2 weeks went by and I was contacted saying they had been returned to the company, some rubbish to do with customs rejecting them...right. Then found someone else selling the same thing, ordered 20 sets aaaand, they don't fit. They're the correct width, but the ends of the bulbs are huge, no way they would fit in the zed. I then was out of options. the 27mm bulbs I have are seemingly no longer available anywhere in the world, so I broke out the power tools and trimmed the 29mm bulbs that ive sent out to all you guys down to size, which leaves me with these. So, they may not be pretty, but they will be hidden behind the light diffusers anyway and most importantly THEY FIT!! I have been out in the car and tested every single bulb to confirm it fits and it works.so... Anyone who ordered either a full or an interior only set from me is entitled to a replacement bulb set for the vanity mirrors as the ones you have wont have fitted. I have 9 sets infront of me here ready to go, need to do some digging to see if I have more around. If you bought one of my sets and need replacement vanity bulbs, PM me your address, il check my records and get you a set sent out. Once again, appologies for this issue and the time its took to resolve it. As I say, ive tested these bulbs individually in my own zed so can confirm you will be trouble free from here out.

Back end does get twitchy in the rain, but its what you get with a reasonably powerfull RWD car with a light rear end. That said, I was turning into a right junction yesterday, gave the throttle minimum beans possible to move the car and around came the rear. T/C luckily caught me but I still have absolutely no idea what caused that. REo50's, was a cold day mind, probabaly ice or a metal drain cover. Just ease off the throttle a bit and above all, always expect the car to step out! lol.
  22. seriously, how the hell are people doing this? lol. Ive bene trying this mod for months (see previous posts) and never once managed to do it! I can get the bolt loose but not turn the fork shaped thing

    Power Flow TIPs

Whey another powerflow lover! lol. On mine I have a top that's shaped like the RAW tip, but with the sloped inside edges on the RP, guess its an older one. On my previous car I had the 911r. Just beware that the centre wont carry all the pipe models and if you want one they don't have in stock at the time either tell them when you book, or you will have to leave the centre with no exhaust tip! Total fitting time for a cat back is somewhere between 1-2 hrs.
