  1. Not a fan of the wing in the black state, but when its white, that picture looks lovely. Does your car ever leave RT's premesis, seems as though its always there. And, plans change on boosting?!? Twin supercharged???
  2. Side lights - 2x W5W Amber LED's Number plate lights - 2x W5W White LED's Rear tail lights - 2x T20 Red LED Fog light - 1x T20 Red LED Reversing light - 1x T20 White LED And incase you get further itches to upgrade to leds... Interior dome lights - 2x 31mm White Festoon LEDs Boot Light - 1x W5W White LED Vanity Mirrors - 27mm White Festoon LEDs (you wont find these, they need to be custom made...) I have upgraded all of mine (aside from tail lights as I have the newer led clusters). This is all available with a bit of searching though The only thing you need to be careful with is the length of the bulbs. Theres no way in hell 99% of the W5W amber bulbs (sidelights) will fit inside of the zeds light units. Same with the vanity mirrors, you need very specific bulbs. Space is also tight in the reverse clusters.
  3. Never thought about pointing those leds slightly upwards to stop them melting my eyeballs...
  4. I can only add to what's already been said. Airlock. When my previous car had a rad leak, the garage who investigated ordered the parts and filled up the res but did no bleeding (but they didn't tell me this...), I did about 2 miles before the needle was way into the red zone and the car interior was freezing(this being November last year). Ended up bleeding it best I could in Waitrose car park in the pouring rain...Some choice words were uttered that day. There were still airlocks in the system as the coolant level dropped loads, I ended up running inside and buying a 1 ltr bottle of water to top it up (was getting rad replaced the next day so didn't care what went in it) but I still had no heating all the way home but temps were more normal. I think most modern cars are difficult to bleed properly for some reason.
  5. Mines an 04 GT too, the Humbrol paint went on dark but matched pretty good in the end after it dried.
  6. I did use the washers, installed them on the bonnet nut, you can just about see it peeking out on this photo Probably not necessary though to be fair.
  7. I don't want to say this too loud as im only 25, but id have one too. Have a soft spot for the new jags, they seem to be losing their fuddy duddy-ness I may have to change the zorst though, I do like a bit of noise. Not too much yaaaaaaaaaaarp but just a little You can't get much yaaaaarp out of a derv but maybe next year I will trade up to the 5.0V8 501bhp And that really would whup some Zed ass Sent from the golf club... Those Audi RS6's seem to make plenty of noise. Sounds like thunder when they disappear over the horizon at the speed of light, but then, something stilly like 540bhp twin turbo with Quattro.

  9. Fixed that image above, you know, seeing as its a zed calendar after all, and there's only one place were all looking.... Anyways, looking forward to these, im lost without my calendar on the fridge!
  10. Hah, I guess its a perspective and personal choice thing too. As you say, remove the GTR and the 370, id have a Juke any day, great fun looking cars. Remove the VXR8 and VX220 and, no thanks il take the bus. But I do see what you're getting at As I explained in my previous post, I know its not the best car ever made in the word ever and ever hapilly ever after...but its the one I wanted to buy Everyone is going to defend the car they have now. I know how much I adored my 206 GTI, and then my Celica. Of course you do, you put loads of money into it and if you didn't like it you wouldn't buy it and therefore wouldn't be defending it! lol, yeah, exactly... Wasn't exactly a standard corsa turbo was it, bearing in mind SC zeds can push little under 500BHP... Anyways, I like my rose tinted glasses, if the zed was just a way to get from a-b I certainly wouldn't spend my time on an owners club. Doing this thing seems to require the aforementioned glasses.
  11. Lol I don't think so... Transmission: Manual Engine: 1.6 Engine Size: 1598cc Power (hp): 150 ps Power (kW): N.A Torque (ft/lb): 155 Torque (NM): N.A Vauxhall Corsa SRi 1.6i 16v Turbo 3dr Performance Maximum Speed: 130 mph 0-60 acceleration 7.6 sec thanks for giving me a laugh though. Also, as wmr1980 quite rightly says, the zed isn't a 0-60 machine, try to keep up in a corsa turbo from 20-60, or 40-100 (not that 0-60 would be any different anyway)
  12. Ahh, they grinded the metal side of the pads to make them fit, well, to be fair at least they didn't grind the actual friction surface but its still a bodge job. My bets are the calliper pistons weren't fully retracted for whatever reason. They were obviously the correct set of brakes as the OP bought them from CS. You should ever have to modify any braking component (in terms of disks or pads) as long as you buy the correct ones and your existing hardware is in good condition.
  13. Heh, people do this with Fords as well, it amuses me A Lotus Carlton or even a 24v GSi, Manta 400, Monaro/VXR8, Magnum, Chevette HS, Firenza and of course the Bedford Rascal in the UK are all pretty desirable IMO, but if you include GM the list is endless ......... Totally agree with what you are saying, but most of those are clasics so kind of a different story, was referring to modern cars. Oh, and I forgot about the Monaro. Not that its much of a head turner tbh, id still have one though GTR's are 5 doors aren't they?....
  14. Was thinking this to myself this morning whilst stuck in traffic drinking a ltr of fuel/second. For around a year before I got it, the Zed was my "dream car" that I could actually possibly afford, so I bought one. OK, it comes with a tape deck and was designed in the 90's by an American, but I don't care, it STILL gets looks when I drive down the street, and not a single Vauxhall ever sold (baring the VX220) will do the same thing. It "only" has ~280bhp weighs as much as the moon and used tech that 15 years old but I don't care. It makes me smile every morning when I see it and I love every mile I drive in it. Would I trade it for a VXR? Yeah, but ONLY if the swap came about due to me needing to have a more practical car, and tbh id get an Audi at that stage anyway. Nowadays a big lazy NA V6 is always going to get obliterated by some tiny 4pot turbo, its just the way the industry has gone sadly. However, no 4 pot turbo ive ever heard makes such a lovely sound as my big lazy, heavy, underpowered, thirsty and impractical Zed and that's why il be keeping her until the Mrs prises the keys from my cold dead hands, or I can afford something just as impractical but faster (or a superchargher...)
  15. Hmm how did I miss this. My wheel is fine I guess, but that looks so much better... *adds link to bookmarks*
  16. Yea, pretty close in terms of BHP so not surprised you didn't leave it standing tbh. Also, aren't the VXR's turbo'd? Makes me cry that 90% of the modern 2 ltr tuubo diesel lumps out there leave the zed in their dust, DAMN YOU AUDI!!!!
  17. Wow, cant see that lasting long though!
  18. Another full 350 set & 370 exterior set now sold Current stock ready to go is now; 3x Interior 350z sets 1x Interior 370 set Have some fresh bulbs on the way to be able to make up exterior kits again, should be in by Wednesday
  19. Ive had a look for you and mostly just found very positivbe reviews for that bulb. The actual fitment is a 9012, same bulb used on the new astra GTC's Not sure if these are any good? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAUXHALL-ASTRA-GTC-9012-HIR2-XENON-BULB-DIAMOND-WHITE-VXR-SRI-VX-LINE-SPORT-LE-/181291654823?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2a35d31ea7
  20. Just a reminder, Jan's waxybox went on sale 5 days ago, just ordered mine
  21. Hey all, Have a hole in my aircon rad and want to get it replaced as im getting annoyed not being able to use it. I know I have done and he has given me his price which I great but is sadly out of stock so just wondered if anyone else happened to have one around? Ta
  22. Hah, ive just realised what you have done, but its my fault.... The bolt being at 7 o clock is only correct on the passenger side... Obviously this gets reversed from the drivers side. It should allow you enough room (with the wheels on the appropriate side pointed filly inwards) to just about get access to the sidelights.
