Will be a fuse (drivers footwell) or a dead pump. They do die if people operate them (or try) when the screenwash is frozen, OR if you use tap water the calcium build up can kill it.

Agreed here, I think due to the mentally challenged shape of the zeds dipstick, its almost impossible to get a clear reading unless you leave the car overnight. Even after 4-5 hrs ive checked it and just had oil smeared all the way up the stick. Also, I don't get why people have issues reading the sticks (not just the OP here, ive been seeing it a lot lately). Pull the stick out and wipe it, fully re-insert it into the tube, give it a few seconds, pull out as cleanly as is possible and then flip the stick over, there are some hatch markings on the rear that say high and low on them. Then rinse and repeat at least once to verify your findings.

Bizz's LS3 6.2l V8 350Z Drift Car Project - IT CAN DRIFT!! :)

Looks fantastic. Good to see some stuff going ON the car rather than you removing parts of it for a change -
Thanks for those two replies. @Ewen, Both of those two links just redirect to a page showing all your stuff, but I did find them yesterday on your site at £190 each and 11 ish for the seals, bit too much $ imo, ive no idea how long the cars been doing this so im inclined to live with it and check it again in a few weeks, some searching of my own turned up that this may even be normal if its the first time they've been changed. The plugs electrodes were heavily worn in every cylinder so I suspect it was. @gillywig2 , Thanks, il bear that link in mind. Seems the only issue is you need to lose the engine cover otherwise you cant fill up with oil in the future!

Yes, 5 and 6! doh, ok il do some reading. Likely damage if not replacing them? After doing the spark plugs today, I don't fancy changing these myself, far too many pitfalls so it will be a garage job, not cheap when its £320 for the covers, then a few hrs labour ontop of that. Im "only" on 54,000 miles, I find it un-nerving that an integral component such as this fails after that length of time when my previous car was on 147,000 and it was fine

Argh, I need one of these too, put me down if that's OK?

Hey all, just wanted to give a heads up that currently (at least when I bought mine) Opie oils have decent prices on the spark plugs required for the DE engine zeds. Mine arrived today and I thought "yeah, no problems, 45 mins tops, I've done spark plug changes before." Little did I know, id finish in the rain and almost dark 3 hrs later. I did want to remove the engine cover to aid in access, but didn't fancy taking the strut bar off. Then there's the sheer amount of cable ties holding in the very tight wiring looms. And, dear god, ive never known spark plugs so deep within the engine! im used to changing them on regular engined cars where they basically sit on the top, easy as pie, but I ended up rigging together 3 extension bars and various expanders/reducers to tie them all together just so I could undo the plugs, my Halfords spark plug wrenches were WAY too short. Anyway, all done and running smooth, but I wanted some advice for anyone who sees this. In spark plug hole 3 & 6 (the ones right against the back of the engine), there was a lot of oil. The plugs exterior, coil pack and my nice shiny tools came out dripping with the stuff and I think the plugs themselves were oily. Both plugs were tight so wasn't leaking from the hole and there didn't seem to be any inside the engine when I peered through the hole. I cleaned it all up best I could but when I restarted the car there was some blue smoke for a few seconds as the oil sitting round the plugs fell into the engine when I undid them, stopped after about 3 seconds though. Ive no idea where the oil came from, any ideas.

Id also say its probably not necessary there. Not for general or even occasional track use as you have the roof acting as a brace anyway. They generally benefit from bracing at the top and bottom of the struts (obviously, top braces are already fitted as standard anyway), but fail to see what a mid brace would do.

Prob different on the 370, but with my 350, I start the car with the normal key and then lock the door with my second key. The second key was just an eBay jobbie and isn't coded to the car, but the blade is cut so I can lock the doors with it

Just a caution from me too Checked my oil this morning after all of the horror stories of late, found the level hovering just above the low marker! The oil was full after my service with Kaizer a few months ago.

Took these round with me today to family, pleased as punch. Showed off my new cuff links to all of then and each one garnered a odd look of confusion and pitty. "Car cuff links?!?" They all individually exclaimed. "Yes, but, you see... It's what I have, the same model of car". Cue more blank looks. Give up and move on. I don't think they have zeditus but happily I do

I do love a good (several good) sausage rolls on Christmas. Not really sure why...
-
The bases heat first then the backs, but generally you can only feel it half way up and by that time your ass is toasty so you turn it off anyways.
-
Looks amazing wasso mate, just got them today, just in time for Christmas! Top job!

I have found nothing wrong yet with my 453's MAXXIS tyres are supposed to be good, but the price has rocketed in recent years.
-
I am in the office. However I wouldn't call it working per-se. Im doing all I can to avoid anything that seems like work today, succeeding relatively well so far...
-
looking forward to these, even the presentation box looks ace, well done Wasso empires!

Peak performance (in terms of torque) from my searching in a Rev-Up is 4,800RPM and 4,700 in a DE car. But, kind of what Dan says, peak performance (in terms of speed) would be 1RPM away from the limiter!
-
I think hawker means bump start as in, turn ignition to on (not to the start position, just where the key normally sits when youre driving), push the zed in gear but holding the clutch down and then release clutch when you have speed, should fire up. You do of course need a volunteer to push.

Why Holy thread revival! Why not, snows every year so... lol
