The worrying thing is, I can see Ferrari forcing the status quo and driving the sport under on the premise that they are Ferrari and therefore they are entitled. Ferrari love the model they’ve got with Haas, who are running on a boot string ugly because they get all of Ferrari’s hand-me-downs which Ferrari like because they get a bit of cash for otherwise useless ornaments and, if the rumours are true, another voice. The budget cap simply won’t work though. It’ll either be so exorbitant that it’s meaningless or the big hitters will employ a team of people to circumnavigate the regulations, adding more pressure on the smaller teams. It’ll just become to lawyers and accountants what the aero regs were to Adrian Newey.

It is more cleverer than that. “They” have gone to the extent of curving the Earth just to fool everyone!

You know those really annoying adverts... sorry, "trailers"? The ones that say "coming soon" every other day for years on end without actually even suggesting when "soon" might be? Well I highly dislike those sorts of completely unnecessarily long build ups to what is usually a highly anti-climatic offering. So with that in mind, prepare yourself for the long awaited, long over due finale to this here fallout remover test. A mere three years after starting! Coming soon... ...that is all. For now...

Or to alienate their 14 remaining fans...

Because the Aussies thought if it first and ruined the idea for everyone. At least one team’s halo is sponsored by a flip flop company. Ask an Aussie if you don’t understand that.

I'm going to hazard a guess the trader whose sub-forum this is posted in.

You’re living in a world where people will spend thousands of pounds on another TV only to sulk about the £10 delivery charge though. Just because you’re capable of logic and context doesn’t mean everyone is!

Ah, medicinal leeches. Now we're onto something...

You’re assuming that the only evidence is obtained by digging a hole. Things, like sonar for example, can determine density without so much as a shovel.

That’ll be lacquered then, wouldn’t worry too much about fading. CanCoat is an SiO2 coating.
-
It your paint is single stage, then you'll benefit marginally from a sealant, but if it's lacquered then you won't benefit from any more than any other colour. To be honest, I've found very little in the way of sealants, waxes or even coatings that offer a great level of UV protection, certainly not for extended periods of time. By far the best, long term solution is paint. Sealants still wont offer as protection as a coating, and the easiest coating to use by some distance is Gyeon Cancoat. It'll last longer than any acrylic sealant like Zaino and isn't any more difficult to use. In terms of when to use it; polish then sealant then (optional) wax - but to be honest, there's little point in both. To be quite honest, if you've got waxes already there's just no point in splashing out on something else just because the car is red. Even if it's single stage paint, I'd just polish it when required and get it lacquered if/when it needs new paint. If going for something new, personally I'd go with polish then CanCoat (no point at all in topping that with anything other than a sacrificial layer of Cure whilst CanCoat cures fully). Bathe+ will play nicely with anything beneath it but it'll play better with CanCoat.

That Leaf is never going to look anything like that in anything close to production variance. That front end would maim anyone and anything it it came in contact with so it just wont happen. Yet I'm still sure someone will be along shortly to explain to us how Tesla are going to turn every square inch of the public highways into superchargers, for free, over night.

I mean you could at least have picked the good one...

Globe maker... Not a serious answer in fairness. I'm not even sorry.

Pretty sure that map is flat... and that flight plan aint straight! I mean, I can draw a map that will make it a straight line but that proves nothing.

dangerous tailgater caught on dashcam, what would you do?

If you're really that concerned about the danger, send it to the bus company. If you're just a little wound up by some idiot driving a little aggressively then as Dan says, do nothing, forget about it and move on. -
But that pink plunge neck vest looks ridiculous on you, Dan....

"Panic merchants". Covers car so doesn't get slightly dirty when not in use.
-
FTFY. You'd be best off buying a house with a garage, otherwise just accept the car is going to get wet and dirty from time to time. I never did understand the point of car covers anyway.

It's a very simplified overview with more than a hint of an agenda and there are some clear inaccuracies in there too; "coating's have to be removed to resolve scratches, unlike waxing". There's literally no difference between the two when dealing with scratches. Polishing to remove scratches will remove both coating and a wax. It could even be argued that you're actually more likely to remove more paint when polishing a waxed car than a coated car as well, which is a finite layer so removing less is a benefit. The whole "you need to polish for hours if not days before you can apply a coating" is again just outright wrong. It's better to, in the same way it's better to do the exact same amount of prep work prior to applying a wax. Again, literally no difference between the two. The idea that coatings are some sort of magical substance that only 3 people in whole entire world can apply is just rubbish. There are a number of coatings that are as easy, if not more so, to use as certain waxes. Granted, they're need to used differently, but if you can learn how use a wax properly, you can learn how to use coatings too. Don't even get me started on the whole "permanent" thing, that's just oversimplified to the point of being inaccurate. The differences between using a wax or using a coating; Coatings are a little less forgiving when improperly applied. Coating's last longer. Waxing requires less curing time. That's about it really.

They're already saying they'll be better next year as the teams get used to developing the aero package around them. Some are (marginally) better than others but I'm not sure how much stock I put in that considering it was pretty much the same narrative when the idea was first mooted what, two years ago now? A major rule change requiring a complete overhaul will help as the designers won't just be trying to adapt it to the car as they just look to improve on last year's cars. Starting from scratch again should see them incorporated rather than just stuck on. They don't look pretty, granted, but for once I actually agree with Fernando Alonso. I feel dirty.

Oh yeah, so he did. Right there. Third word... /

In fairness to him, at no point in his last post did he mention coffee.

I'd be surprised if any mic would pick up the sound of a car being keyed, shy of a deliberately targeted professional set up outside of (but right next to) the car, to be honest.

You got the complete bit, but the next word isn’t right...
