Looks good, Mot fail? easy enough to do? I can see me copying you haha

Read on some sites that the fly eye type kits a cause cracking of the headlight over time due to the heat, that's why I've sh@t out of doing it on my headlights so far. Don't know if its true or not though

Ford Fiesta 1.25 16V. I have this for a winter scrapper, Its actually pretty nippy for a small engine and has survived a fair amount of abuse since I bought it. The LX comes with aircon but don't think mine has been recharged in a long time so can't comment on how good it is. Its common as muck so parts are easily available and cheap

Agree with that! I have set my own alarm off a few times now when I get my bike out of my garage and ride slowly past the Zed, it's a sensitive alarm (although a loud bike also). This happens with mine aswell, got to squeeze through the gap between mine and the mrs car and its only ever my alarm that goes off

Great service and really helpful

The thought on the springs is that they are usually a bit stiffer than stock so should help reduce roll, never really done any suspension mods though so can only go on what i read from other peoples posts. Thats why i ask here to get as much info as possible before wasting time and money on mods i don't need. Sounds like the ARBs is the way to go then. Cars off the road for winter so will be doing it all before spring next year

I thought posting here would be better as all the traders can see it and let me know either on here or via PM with what they have on the list and what they reccomend or what is popular set ups etc. I've had a look through most of their websites/stores and all have bits and pieces off the list or stock different brands of similar products and some even do combo deals. Then once I have a few options i can search away or ask questions to help make the right decision on what to get. After a fair bit of reading on here this was my aim. The OEM set up is pretty suited for me but i would like it a bit less roll in the corners but don't want it to be a bone rattling ride or fearing speed bumps as the road to my street has loads. I was planning on the adjustable drop links as I think I read they should be harder wearing than OEM so thats why I thought I might aswell upgrade the ARB since it would be off anyway, Tein springs would probibly be as low as I would like to go and don't think i'd ever get the full benifit out of coilovers as i wont be tracking the car. Reading another members post BulletMagnet says he has the tien springs and eibach front and rear sway bars and is happy with the improvements so sounds promising. Ofcourse after all the suspension mods the car would go for a full geo alignment. Brake wise its only really the pads that need done the now but if i'm upgrading them I might aswell do the lines and discs whilst i'm at it and the fluid change will be part of the bleeding for new lines/service anyway. Federo pads seem to get good reviews but some places list them as race use only,so might be no good for me? and what discs?

I was going to make up a list and send it to all of yous but thought it would be easier here and yous can pm me with what you've got to offer, plus people can make recommendations on the stuff i'm not sure on. Bit of info on the car, 54 plate so DE engine, almost 60K, no suspension or handling mods yet. Been 3years since last big service so would like to do one again plus needs front ARB links done and brakes will be due soon aswell so taking the opportunity to make a few upgrades whilst i'll be working on the car. Since i was doing the arb links i thought i might aswell upgrade the arb/sway bar and fit it with poly bushes is this worth it? is it worth doing the back at the same time as the front or hold off till it needs done? Front discs and pads combo, no tracking just fast street. suggestions? Would Tein springs improve the handling much? don't fancy going lower too much speed bumps my way. Any other upgrades or improvements to please recommend or if i have missed anything let me know as it feels like I have! Finally my list; Oil + Filter Gearbox Oil Diff Oil Coolant Brake fluid (need lots got 3 cars and bike to service) Front Anti roll bar links, preferably up rated Front Discs Front Pads - Federo's seem to get the best reviews Braided Brake Lines front & back Front sway bar? Poly bushes for sway bar? Springs?

Great price, I got quoted £600 for a cat back system and £200 per HFC from stainless creations in falkirk(local to me so no use to you) so looks like you'd be getting a good deal. Theres not much choice near me so looks like i'll have to go with them at some point when i upgrade.

loved the ep3 probably close to the best car I've owned. fn2 just looked like a fat spaceship never been a fan i'm afraid. Poor show if they loose the V-tech

These have started to click a little and was picked up on my Mot yesterday so saved me investigating the clicky noise. Car isn't lowered but possibly will be in the future but not by much as I'm not a fan of the collapsed suspension look. I don't track the car and don't really intend to do so. I do feel high speed corners it does feel like its rolling and could be more planted but don't want to loose ride comfort too much as it is pretty good usually. Never really done much with suspension in the past so thought I'd ask. Is it worth me going for uprated ARB links or just get standard ones (think I seen a old thread from Abby selling them for £70)? Anything else I should look into upgrading or renewing while I'm working on that area of the car? possibly sway bar or sway bar bushes? Cheers

Did we not have an ice age then thaw out again etc well before we started burning fossil fuel? I'm sure I watched something a few years back saying that it was all just a natural cycle that the earth goes through over time. -
Storing my Zed over winter - help needed please
scobie140 replied to twobears's topic in 350Z Technical
Your better off not filling it up then leaving it for months on end. Best to run it low as possible then store it for winter and when you want to take it out of storage chuck in a jerry can full of fresh fuel to get you to a garage to fill up proper. Same with the oil if left for months without any movment any moisture will settle out at the bottom of the sump although its very likely to be next to none. -
Better with plus gas rather than than wd40 but will still be a pain to get them off

Would all depend on when this was, if it was spring next year i'd be def up for it but no point getting it done the now till i get an exhaust system sorted out and that def won't happen till after the wedding this year.

I set the salary i said i was expecting pretty high as its got to be special to get me to leave here plus i'd expect them to try and get it down no matter what i'd said. poor structure though if there is a load of you doing the same job but everyone is paid different could get petty with some people. I moaned about working in our summer heat so working in their heat will be a challange! Was planning on just renting the house if we moved, that way if it was brutal or the mrs hated it too much she could come home when she wanted till i found a job somewhere else. Cheers if i get an interview i'll have to make an effort and get a suit! -

Yeh its for a new petrochemical plant and they want us to move over there. Its an hour from Bahrain so can go there when off for a drink. They will pay for our accommodation in the compound plus all our bills. tax free does sound awesome though. They rang this morning to ask about notice period and current and expected salary, so should hopefully hear back from them by the end of the week and see if they can make me an offer worth my while going for an interview.
