Hey Mike, I had mine painted a while back. A buddy of mine setup a paint shop on Holton Heath Ind Est. Can put you in touch if you need. Whole job took maybe 3 hours or so. So much better gloss black.

Wrapping would be easier and MUCH cheaper. We had the bonnet on our old Evo V carbon dipped years ago. It was a new company local to us at the time and i think they charged maybe £150 (which was way over half price due to them being a new company). Due to the size of the bonnet they had to dip it in 2 halves, which is fine but there was a very slight miss match in the carbon pattern if you looked close enough. Otherwise it looked great

Yes bud. Stock GT body and wheels are fine. I ran eibach lowering springs and 25mm spacersx4 without issues. Sits really nice. Issues arise however with the Nismo

Very kind off Ady. I'm eagerly awaiting pics Martin, get on with it

From my Googling so far (limited) a US guy tried to fit 15mm's to the front and ran into issues. So moved to spacers where he had to swap out the studs. But this is the internet so it may have to be taken with a pinch of salt (maybe it was a bigger spacer, maybe it wasn't a Nismo). I'm not sure how involved swapping studs is, I think it's just time consuming but I think I remember you saying you may be swapping wheels in the future so could be wasted effort.

You should be able to fit 20/25mm and have the wheels mount correctly, but as above it might give you a little more poke that you wanted. But with Arch flares it could be OK. From what I've read on the US forums, 15mm hubcentric spacer's do not work with nismo wheels as the spacers nuts sit proud from the face of the spacer. This is usually fine on some wheels, but Nismo wheels do not have the small recesses on the back face, meaning the wheel cannot fit flush against the spacer. However I have not test fitted so cannot confirm if the above is 100% accurate. When I get spacers I'll likely go 15mm (as i removed my fender flares), but will get extended bolts to avoid the issue of spacer nuts getting in the way.

Cool Vid. What exhaust you running? Did you swap the exhaust over in the end? Sounds so good in the video! -
This is great mate, good work. I've always fancied getting one of these to keep me occupied in the man-cave. Really like the attention to detail. Look forward to the next update.

It's that time again! (possible new car purchase)

The SC'd Civic is barely a few miles from my house. I know sweet FA about Honda's, but if you wanted someone to go look and make sure it was an honest car let me know -
If you have time you, I would really suggest taking a drive up/down the Col De Turini. It's a little bit North of Monaco - incredible stretch of road. The wife and I did a euro roadtrip a few years ago - on leaving Monaco heading to Italy we made a detour to the Col De Turini. Totally worth it. Also, get up early one day in Monaco and do a few laps of the circuit We checked out of the hotel around 05:30 just to get some photos, then headed out of town. Here's the old Zed outside the Casino

From what I've read (over a year ago now) it is on from new and cannot be turned off. However, someone may have worked out a way in the last 12 months. -

This is a timely thread. I'm currently measuring up to check what size I 'need' on the Nismo. Will be in touch -
Yep it was a Jeep Cherokee(?), but I think it was silver... ...could be wrong about that though, it was pre-coffee

Morning. I ran Eibach on my old GT and don't have much bad to say about them. I think the Swift (from memory) are a lower drop than Eibach so you will need to start messing with camber arms and such like. You can JUST about get away with OEM setup and a good geo setup. Although even Eibachs would benefit from some camber adjustment it is still within spec. When I took mine to get aligned after lowering the guy came over and asked 'Have I done any suspension work?'...I replied yes and he humorously said 'Yep, you broke it' Only because the tolerances were just inside spec after adjustments. I also ran 25mm spacers all round and the car sat really nicely. Any excuse for pictures!!

Followed a car to work just now with plate A7YAK. Wasn't one of your fleet was it?

Good to meet you this morning bud. Was hoping to catch you after brekkie to have a nose at the Z, but people started drifting off pretty early. Was a good meet, but hoping for more nice stuff. Way more Polo's, Golf's than I was expecting. -

Yeah I'm hoping to make the trip, as long as the weather is nice -
Glad you're keys are up and running again. For the airbag warning light, I can't remember the sequence but you can reset this yourself (it's either the pedal dance, or turning the ignition on/off a few times, you'll need to Google). The light is usually triggered by the sensor under the passenger seat - if you check that first then do the rest. I used to find the odd empty bottle of water rolling under the seat to be the culprit.

On the market for a 370Z GT, which year should I look for?
mattross1313 replied to Makinen's topic in 370z Technical
Happy hunting mate, be sure to get some pictures up if you find one. Yes, it was either 2011 or 2012 (sorry can't be more help), where Nissan upgraded the oil gallery gaskets. Anything newer than that you'll be safe -
