  1. Open up the boot to find the spring damper thingy bent.. Tried to fiddle with it and it broke (good times). I'm in no rush to replace it tbh but I assume theres no major need for it other than to soften the close of the boot? Are these things easy to get hold of and replace? Lol
  2. Hmm.... it (mines), is noisey, its crashy, the front suspension is replaced almost yearly lol, it eats tyres, eats fuel, its terrible in traffic, the clutch can be akward, the HR does tht 1k rev jerk thing, its now one proper dinosaur considering quicker things these days are more fuel efficient, cheaper to tax and run... yet I still go out most weekends and wash the hell out of it and love driving it. When its going...it goes and feels great even compared to some more expensive stuff I've tried..especially steering feel. I just wish it was a bit less... led fisted if you know what I mean, yet thats prob part of its character and appeal. I also love when its cleaned right up with its golden calipers etc it still stands out it looks different and not a 2 door version of a 4 door something or other. It will however be replaced with something faster and with paddles... but itll stay for a few year yet...hopefully.
  3. Yet again still more of this, no wonder you fear giving your reasonably powered thing into a dealership... http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2017/8/22/Man-Uses-GPS-To-Catch-Dealership-Joyriding-His-Mercedes-AMG-7740710/
  4. Good lookin' little thing!

    New Z4

I hate Z4's, but concept looks good. Getting worried over the new Supra, all shots I see of it are stumpy looking and doesn't look too good, hopefully I'm proved wrong when its revealed lol
  6. Easier to add pictures! last time I had to use the tapatalk app or link in from other sites lol. (or at least I think you can just add now)
  7. Thanks guys, just taking it as it comes and trying to do a little something that we can.
  8. Hi guys, My mother was diagnosed with a tumor of which 90% has been removed but the other can't be due to it being close to functions within the brain/body. I apologise I don't know a lot of the technical names but she has Stage 4 of the most aggressive brain tumor and we have been told she won't survive. The doctors/surgeons etc have advised around 12-18 months. My sister has set up a funding page to try and help with some other methods to try and stunt the growth and try and extend my mums life a bit longer and also to possibly try and do things with her to give her a reasonable life, however long that may be. We are currently in contact with a higher specialist down south so hopefully this helps. My mums in her early 50's and has been in the hospital for a little while now going through quite a few operations and has lost the ability to move on her right side, were not sure if that will come back in the remaining time - she can move her arm up a bit. Its been a bit of surprise that's downhearted us all as it came unexpectedly and everything having to happen at such a quick pace (my mum was able to walk and getting on with her normal life about 3 months ago). I'm not expecting anything or much from these things but my sister has set it up to see what can be done for my mum, so if you can share it outwith the site, on your facebook and even if you can contribute - no matter how small - I would be so grateful for you helping. Thanks guys. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/leigh-tinto
  9. Was at the British Touring Cars at Knockhill today and on the way home seen this tidy blue 50'.. anybody on here? 2007 'DF' at the end
  10. I was also wondering what happened to it... thanks for the update!
  11. I remember the first time I switched mine off, felt a bit twitchy and lighter going through corners.. might have just been me but thats how it felt. Then the next time I found an emtpy car park, put the boot in and it swung round... very suprising when you feel the weight of the thing lol
  12. A lesson learned! Keep the traction on lol. Gutted for you mate, I've dinged mine on the rear bumper and its annoying as hell when you do it... hope you get it sorted soon and for a decent price! Don't let it put you off! lol
  13. I'll give it a bash, holding low revs shouldn't do any harm for 20 seconds so why not lol
  14. £26K,,,,,, for a Yaris.... good ...god

    £16,000 for a...

A Nova from the year I was born lol. It is pretty tidy however I don't think 16K tidy... prob still worth a good few thousands but not sure if its way over double figures. I do find it novel to see things like this though, possibly a reminder of my young times (when I couldn't drive but read all the crappy car mags).... I see a Sierra or old old escort these days and I'm like ....OHHHH LOOK AT THAT! lol Even seeing a 306 3 door hatch (always wanted one when I was young) and I'm like....nice lol
  16. ASemper I don't see an issue with it, you didn't slide or light em' up (failed one? lol) but just seemed to accelerate away. I don't see an issue with that just keeping in control, the folk outside want to hear and see the boot full, so they know what to expect. You also kept a nice distance from the folk across before moving in too. We can all enjoy as long as we try and be sensible (as much you can anyway when accelerating away lol). There will always be people going off on one but there usually not car people, so unless theres a nice pensioner couple or a person with a pram walking by at the time (then reign yourself in at that point... common sense lol) then give it a little noise.
  17. Well after the disappointment of the DB11 looks (mainly the rear, I'm in the .....'what the hell's that' camp) the new Vantage from the patent drawings I saw and now these official camouflaged ones show the new baby Aston should be a stunner. I never liked the DB10 car there was bits of it I didn't think went well but mixing a bit of that with some change seems to look pretty good! Can't wait to see it. What do we think? http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2017/8/2/The-New-Aston-Martin-Vantage-Looks-A-Lot-Like-James-Bond-s-DB10-7740407/ Patent drawings: http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2017/7/1/Leaked-Patent-Images-Detail-How-The-New-Aston-Martin-Vantage-Will-Look-7739919/
  18. The videos are usually crap, everyone (well car folk) wants to hear someone in a nice sounding car put the foot down but no need to slide it or spin an inside tyre etc, just looks stupid. Just thought I'd put it up, I know I'd like to see my car in a wee video it was filmed leaving somewhere... but mind you I am a geek. I'm sure I've seen a video of a orange 6 series leaving a show before.... lol
  19. Wait a minute I'm confused lol... Or not taking this in correctly, is the above a way of getting rid of the jerkyness? Or temporarily? I've got an HR and it does the lunge jerky thing around 1K bang on if your in slow moving traffic and try to move off. You need to be suuuuper slow moving forward to miss it, letting the revs very gently rise. I don't get the consult thing? or if something else would need to be done or if it is gonna throw codes up etc.
  20. Not the best car leaving show video thingy, but I did see these 3 in it, in-case its anyone on here wanting to...check themselveses out lol 1:20 - Grey 370Z, white 370Z Nismo (gen2) 2:16 - Grey 350Z
  21. Not gettin the service booked until next month, just checked ma oil and its gettin near the low mark so gonna top it up a reasonable but before then. Just bought what I could find nearest this morning... Shell Helix Ultra professional 5W 30 (AF) fully synthetic. Am I ok to put this? (Am think so since most usually recommend the 5w30 fully synth) but just wanna be sure lol Thanks!
  22. I didn't even get the first drive in my car! Took my mechanic mate down to look at it, said take it out a run see if anythings up, he grabbed the keys first and shot off haha. I've gave a go to an ex gf before despite only having driven a new polo... I watched her until I was sure she knew what she was doing. Amusing watching the terror in her face as she gradually picked up the pace My other mates had a go in it twice...as he just pestered me for a go and I trust him (although I remind him, if you stuff the akward clutch your owing me a grand-ish)
  23. Haha yeah Steve I know! Took a while for me to be convinced to get the traction off aswell and get practicing with it! So yeah besides your Zed and the TTS and the odd stupid S3's Think the first time I went I won 1 out of 5 or 7 races, then after that i was always 5-6 out of 7, so its done well. I def fancy an auto/paddle set up for its replacement but were a while away from that now it seems (and no not an Audi!) And referencing the comment earlier.... yeah, to hell with the reaction. I always nursed the clutch in, never banging it through, then just powered the thing up the line...POOOWERRRRR!!!
