  1. To be fair the pre-HR 350Zs had 2 pleats...
  2. What about check-a-trade and those kind of websites?
  3. Pretty sure there's no difference between the roadster and coupe suspension, the MeisterR ones fit both as well.
  4. Before I went to Switzerland I just factored in fines as part of the holiday cost... but luckily didn't get fined once. Maybe I drive like a granny...
  5. My Mrs uses Wix a lot, +1 from me... well her... personally I'd code my own but it takes so much time it's just not worth the cost/hassle if you can't do it yourself.
  6. Both Kaizer Motorpsort and Abbey Motorsport aren't too far from you, maybe it's worth asking one of their opinions.
  7. I'm don't know too much about the Mk3 MR2s, had plenty of Mk1s and Mk2s which were great cars and rock solid, I can't imagine the Mk3 was much different. The ad's extremely light on detail though, nothing about history, previous owners, condition etc! I guess they're a 4x4 place so not their bread and butter so it could be a part ex they're trying to get rid of without putting much effort in. Looks tidy from the photos, for a 32 mile round trip it's got to be worth giving them a call and going and driving it. 70k mileage is nothing to worry about if it's got a good history: http://www.mr2roc.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=34027 The MX5 also looks tidy, never had one but they're fun cars to drive apparently... go see it. Personally I'd prefer either of them to a 206gti, at least the correct wheels get powered.
  8. Hi Guys, My wife's Smart car needs to go in for repair, no idea what's wrong with it yet but thought I'd see how cheap they were to buy ready for when the guy calls to see if it's economical to repair... anyway, while looking I came across this build thread and thought it was fairly... well... let's say an odd choice, but still fairly impressive. Last post was about a week ago so one to watch: http://www.smartz.co.uk/showthread.php?21814-Hayabusa-Power-Build-Thread Engine first start is page 10, but there's interesting buildy goodness all through it. Haydn.
  9. 10. Shouldn't you be getting a 4x4 or a people carrier or something ready for the 20 kids you guys are going to have? Actually, I guess if they're the same size as you 2 I guess they'd fit in a 206...
  11. Would it be an idea to write a letter stating that you don't want to go to court and appeal the ticket as you don't believe it's in anyone's interest, however you do believe that the ticket was unfair given the circumstances etc etc and ask if it can be reviewed? It's only a letter so worth a shot before admitting defeat.
  12. I've had identical symptoms with a dieing battery, even connecting a fully charged jump pack I had the "click click". Try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes and then connect a known good battery. Remember to reset the windows afterwards.
  13. Take some oil back to the roundabout and take some photos of it as evidence? Actually, that's probably illegal, ignore me...
  14. You'd be a moderator... obviously.
  15. Imagine the ECU on the Z as a USB stick, the DE's like yours had a 2GB USB stick and later cars had an 8GB USB stick. Let's assume the Uprev software (that they use to map your car) maps each take 1.8GB of space, the DE's can fit 1 map, the later cars can fit more. I think the DE's could have pops and bangs, but you would never be able to turn it off as there's no other map to switch to, unless the pops and bangs need some extra software that make the 1 map too big to fit.
  16. Claimed ignorance will make zero difference Actually it will: Taken from the below link (sections 79/10 & 79/11): http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/publications/ombudsman-news/79/79-motor-insurance.htm#cs10 Interestingly, even the person who modded his car knowingly and didn't tell the insurer ended up receiving a percentage of his claim based on the percentage of how much premium he was paying compared to what he should have been paying. I wouldn't want to take that risk, although I'd be happy if I bought a car with a mod I didn't know about.
  17. Wouldn't there be a part number on the assembly you can check to see if it's UK/Jap/Other?
  18. Wouch!! I hope there wasn't a passenger in there, I can't see any blood on the interior shots so hopefully nobody was majorly hurt.
  19. The exhibition's less than a mile from my office... I guess I should pop in.
  20. My brother had a really old Fiat Supermirafiori ages ago, he asked me to hep put oil in it once but the bonnet was rusted shut, needless to say it didn't last much longer and seized at full pelt in the middle of a busy motorway! There wasn't an accident luckily.
  21. Posted to the register today: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/08/09/avast_patch_patches_patchy_patch_and_blue_screen_of_death_natch/ and the day before: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/08/08/windows_10_anniversary_update_is_borking_boxen_everywhere/
  22. Most of the online places I've used include fitting in their prices and have a selection of local fitters who will do it.
