  1. And on that note, here are a few of the cars he is talking about,(i used my phone, honestly! I was in the lambo/ford gt engine bays the rest of the time.)
  2. Diff side will be held on with rust if you have the 6 or whatever bolts off, give it a tap with a mallet. But my question is why are you taking the half shafts off if it's the hub that's being replaced? Surly you would just disconnect all the suspension arms from it then its off the car,
  3. So what else have you had in between? last time I spoke to you it was a VX220 or something? New motor is very cool, enjoy
  4. Rear subframe is aluminium so unlikely its corroded just the parts that bolt to it.
  5. The jdm cars mostly have diffs without cooling fins so you can't tell from looking at the casing I believe. But a burn out will tell you lol.
  6. Some do, just your luck and what box they ticked, they look more like PP's to me.
  7. Mine should be rwhp =??? Also chubbyninja's engine is dead and being rebuilt.
  8. Can't you just order the rebuild kit, it's basically bearings and o-ring's and ask a local engineering firm to fit it and check the runout etc? Plan to buy the 928 impeller and rebuild kit to do myself soon, but I wouldn't want to try it on someone else's until I have done it on my own charger.
  9. Interested to see what camera people have and how they look as the one I ordered off ebay never turned up and has now gone =(
  10. My mind has gone blank, does the larger one somehow connect to the esp module near the back of the transmission tunnel? It was only a few weeks ago I was trying to rip it all out lol.
  11. Liking the black checker plate mesh at the front grill where did you get it from? Sounds like it has some grunt up top!
  12. Best club at show, woohoo, well done team,
  13. Should be in bed, but this is better
  14. Rivnuts are not strong in plastic bumpers First test drive and my diffuser detached and was scraping along the road, fortunately I was just accelerating out a 30mph into a 60mph just before a roundabout with a quiet lane I could dive into and take it off completely. Damage isn't bad, slight crack in the fiberglass that will need addressing later. had to use large washers and bolts which were not easy to attach and the super duper cable ties to reduce the angle it sits at as there are not proper brackets or mounting points doubled up both sides to the subframe so should hold. Went for a second test drive and it stayed on at a good speed so should be fine. . . . He say's.
  15. I tried looking at your youtube videos to see how you did it ended up with a chopping board cut up and a pi**ed off wife. Should have wrapped them but forgot and its on now ended up using some black spray paint on the white chopping board..... it wont last long i expect.
  16. I will use the mud from the tap overflow to shine my turd bodywork
  17. Sneak peak, torqen spacers work a treat, wheels look ok in the air so should be better when its off axle stands.
  18. I know you are buddy not getting at you as you have pulled me out a hole with getting me some spacers asap. Just gutted that the car looks balls and the wheels would have taken people's eyes off the paint work. Lol.
  19. So I had a lot of up's and down's today, mostly the latter. - Just heard from Vossen, wheels won't be here.... for months My paint gun decided to break mid spray, nozzle has a split. The primer is too thick even with thinners. I was running out of paint until 5pm when the courier showed up with my satin black basecoat. . . that is shiny and I don't have time to sand Wrapped the rear quarter with the aerial snub still on the car..... bad idea, ended up having to start again and remove the dam thing. Wing mirrors ain't getting wrapped as I need too much force and will probably snap them off and I don't have time to take the doorcards off again to remove them. + My new 1.3 nozzle burisch lvlp gun is 10x better that the freebe i had been using and luckily arrived today. wired up the 370z indicators getting better at spraying shame all the parts look pants as they need a good long sand to get them all level/old runs out.. no time so please don't spit at my car in disgust at japfest. The plan tomorrow is assemble it all and deal with the problems that WILL arise. Friday = wash car, learn to use iphone for new stereo, pack bag, remind my mate I will be crashing at his on sunday night.
  20. No, just the bits I won't have time to do/enough wrap for. i.e. everything not bolted on the car
  21. yey, more wrap and this stuff is 10x easier to use than the 3m 1080 stuff, didn't even need the heat gun for the quarter panel also 1/3 of the cost!!! Just one left to do then paint.
  22. Bummer, just ran out of wrap and ebay seller won't deliver till friday own fault should have checked how much i had left, hope to buy some off a local car wrapping shop but won't have time to wrap all the panels I will have to make do with black primer or hopefully the tin of matte black paint that should be here tomorrow. Still no wheels but Adrian has kindly helped me out with some 30mm front and back torqen spacers so it won't look totally stupid.... hopefully. Fingers and toes are crossed the wheels arrive but I would still need to get tyres on them too!
  23. Raising suspension then =(
  24. +1 I would recommend buying spare hex bolts for adjusting the diff, If you need some I have plenty (ordered 8 thinking they were single items, not the packs of 4 they come in ) They turn to toffee if you torque them to spec twice
  25. Flywheel is part of the clutch, look at the toothed grey section
