A couple of recent posts differentiate between big cities and rural areas and to me, that's important. As usual the government is deciding national policy on the basis of problems encountered in London. I have no need nor any wish to travel to London or any big city for that matter. Fortunately all my journeys are for pleasure only, so I'm affected little by the current proposals for toll roads and electric vehicles. Furthermore, as (I think) the oldest member of our club, I doubt very much I'll be driving anything much after 2030 .

I don't think you'll lose money on interesting ICE cars, in fact decent low mileage exotica will probably go up in value. At least I'd advise hanging on to really old stuff. Also look out for home rule for Yorkshire (and we might let you join us @stanski) with passports required to get in or out

We ought to get a meet going on the NY moors when Covid settles down I guess lots here have never been and it's so beautiful up there. There are some good roads on the way there too:-

SHOCK HORROR !!! Boris Johnson is poised to announce that the government is bringing forward by a decade a ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars to 2030 from 2040. New hybrid cars will get a stay of execution but will be banned from 2035.

I'm sure @ZMANALEX will be along shortly to answer your queries. How's the change from 5th to 6th in respect of the synchro ? This can also be a problem and Molyslip deffo does help with that.

Yeah it's normal, and it slows down the 0-60 time somewhat. But that's not what the 350's about. Some have added Molyslip to the gearbox which does improve things I think.

Well it's a complicated science and I would never run non-run-flats on a car designed to run on run-flats and vice versa. In other words, just trust the manufacturer of the vehicle to know whether non-run-flat or run-flat tyres are best for that vehicle.
