  1. I was going to start a new thread for a few pointers regarding motorbikes and getting my license. Basically apart from riding a monkey bike when I was about 10, then a friends scrambler on a farm when I was a little older and finally renting a little 50cc scooter on holiday I've had very little experience on a motorbike. I've always wanted to get a bike license and I feel like I'm finally in the position to do so. Can anyone point me in the direction of some good websites to read up on and experiences of going from very little experience to doing a Direct Access course?
  2. I have an Audi A3 for commuting, it's perfect only downside is it means I can get into the office in all weather due to it being a Quattro. Ideally though I'd only have the one car because I often feel I don't have the time to drive my Nissan which is a crime.
  3. Last Gig: John Mayer - who was quite amazing. Last Album: Probably Michael Jackson - Bad, I think I saw it on offer around Christmas time last year, needless to say the CD probably got scratched up and lost under the driver seat of my Audi. Going to see Snoop this weekend though, can't wait time for some Gin and Juice!
  4. Only been there once, I did it with 3 mates in a 1992 190E Merc 1.8 it was f'in purgatory! We were on this thing called Student Brakeaway. We cooked the clutch on the way up and the brakes on the way down to be honest we didn't have the best car for the situation. It's one hell of a climb up for a disappointing descent as said above you floor it on a little straight and have to brake hard for the corners. That said the scenery is stunning!
  5. I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy watching that. It looked amazingly good fun. Just one thing though, it was a bit silly with other road users around.

Yup Was looking at your brothers car yesterday at Jap Fest, It looks awesome It gets a lot of attention, I was more interested in Matt's new purchase which was very nice Yeah thats crazy, I hate to think what he paid for that I was told how much, I may be way off but something like 50k seems to come to mind.

    My New Car

They command one hell of a premium, £23k is a good price for one as well! They're iconic and the 34 has to be one of the best.

    My New Car

Mate that's nice, aren't they standard seats but leather interior? I know my brother would love to see this.
  10. I had a del Sol SiR great little car 168bhp, electric roof and vtec sounded amazing with the rocket of an exhaust I had (Tanabe SMR - those who know will know how loud they are) I bought it standard and learned how to tinker with cars and built it all up. I sold the car to a guy in Essex, then a guy around the corner bought it back last year! My brother upstaged me at 18 by getting one while I still had mine, I have to say it was one of the most fun cars I've ever owned. Here's some pics:
  11. Very nice runabout only thing is the wheels don't suit the car but that's my opinion.
  12. Get to a motor factors. Blueprint do good cheap OEM brake parts if I remember correctly and yes it is a 7th Gen.

    Crazy Saab

    Hope it's not a re-post but that's a crazy Saab... http://www.zatzy.com/projekt/374743-mrspringer-saab-9-3-srt10-megapower.html
  14. Very nice on the A470 going into Cardiff just gone 5:30pm. Was in mine, think I've seen this one before but always been in my Audi. Wonder if it's anyone on here, definitely would have seen me as the driver looked over.
  15. 47 out of 50. I got question 13, 21 and 26 wrong. I know how to change a wheel, I know when to stop at a level crossing and people fling themselves across zebra crossings so I never have to give a hand signal. Ridiculous questions. I passed my theory first time with a hangover (I didn't drive myself there), my parents weren't impressed that was 8-9 years ago.
  16. Anyone got one fitted in the 370? I never had one in my 350 but does it quieten the road noise down?
  17. Never had above 22mpg in the 370
  18. No, but that MPG must be lying unless you have a diesel engine in your Z.
  19. +1 Unless you do the work yourself. Then and only then is it viable.
  20. Agreed and hope the liners haven't dropped, not uncommon This has happened to me in my naive days, bought a 1.4 ZR, never again, pistons and liners were shot! It's this very point that I'm amazed a chinese company thinks the brits will take to MG/Rover again, the current generation of prospective buyers will never take to a brand that they associate with shody build quality, decade old designs and pensioners. It's a brand dead in the water but best of luck to them.
  21. Most likely head gasket. Is it a 1.4 k series? Do a compression test and then you can be sure but being as the head gaskets are weak points it would be the first port of call.
  22. Blonde one with boobs down to her belly button at 23 or whatever she was?!
  23. One of the best I have seen in ages, shame McLaren were having a nightmare in the pits and Button's strategy didn't work. Red Bull are just too quick though, Vettel had a fantastic performance but the action was in the pack some amazing moves. Roll on the next race!
