  1. well after getting a little annoyed at the noise and not being able to find my large screw driver i decided to give the belt a littly pry with the back edge of a sword instead so it went like this... tick tick tick tick *pry* silence. It seems my issue is or was (hopefully) belt related, cheers for the suggestions
  2. Howdy all, During my euro road trip my 08 HR350z developed a ticking / knocking from the front of the car, it sounds as if its coming from the coolant reservoir / dipstick area. This problem only happens when well ran in and hot and the ticking increases and decreases with RPM. Now, the odd thing is, while on route back we went via the stelvio pass and in the high altitude the car didnt make the noise at all. Even through switzerland which most of the time in those locations we were at 1800M above sea level. As soon as we decended back down to a normal altitude the noise started again. Do you think it could be possibly be a fuel / oil pressure issle even though the noise is from the front of the block? Or maybe even just needs an oil change even though it was serviced 6 months ago. Cheers J
  3. Me and the missus are off to see maiden at the O2 on the 6th. cant wait!

  5. Anything serious or anything that could take a quick fix if needed?
  6. Yeah man. having an absolute blast appart from some french bint who decided to flip us the bird for no apparent reason at nice. the drive through the tunnels around monaco/menton were phenominal, its something ive always wanted to do. But time to relax by the ocean for a while before hitting the road again. Ill def get a load of pics and vids for when we're home
  7. Right we made it to monaco, 887 miles done in 14 hours. The car has done well although developed a ticking noise on idle from the engine bay. oil is fine, coolant slightly low. After leaving it to cool down over night the ticking has gone which only leads me to believe its a symptom when warm. ill see how it goes on the next leg towards italy. With any luck it isnt serious o_0
  8. Well its D-day(drive day) ill be back with pics and vids. thanks again for all the tips J
