  1. Check the clutch! The black one looks mint, wish I spotted that one haha, it's pretty much the same as mine. The black one is a better buy, as long as it has full nissan service history, is clean on the hpi, then I see no reason why not to part with your cash, you'll have a smile on your face straight away
  2. I haven't changed mine but I would recommend a double din over a single din one. It'll just look better. My only concern with using a double din fixed screen though is getting it stolen.
  3. Cheers Alex. I may have to go to Nissan in the morning then. My first thing to do is to check that recall was done and take it from there. If they do however turn around and say it is a characteristic of the car I'm not sure what I'll say. If it weren't for the fact it was under warranty I wouldn't think twice about buying the parts and just doing the job myself, but if they do put up an argument about it I may just do the job myself, save myself a pretty penny and have peace of mind. jacr87, is your car still under warranty? I also imagine the chance of getting this work done depends on the garage, I've never had any experience of my local Nissan garage, Wessex Nissan I think it is.
  4. Well guys I wish I'd found this forum prior to buying my 350. I do love it though, only had it a week, and it's been raining ever since I got it, typical. I've been having a look around the forum and the warranty section is particularly interesting (read worrying). I've come from Hondas where in my ownership of about 4 various ones I have never encountered a big problem. Now my 350 is an 07 plate, registered August 2007. So it's still under warranty, but does that mean much? My problem relates to my clutch, when I bought the car last weekend it sounded okay, but maybe I didn't pay as much attention as I should. When I got home which is just shy of a 200 mile drive, I pulled up on my drive and the clutch sounded terrible! It sounded like a little monkey was hanging on the bottom of my car banging it with spanners! This kind of put a downer on my new pride and joy. Anyway, I looked at the paper work that came with the car and there was a note on the P1 service that the clutch slave cylinder recall was due. No paperwork to say it's been done though, so I can only assume that needs to be done, right? When I put my foot on the clutch the noise disappears, so is it the release bearing? I started it this morning to get it warm before I left for work and the noise of the clutch almost drowns out the noise of the engine/exhaust. I mean, really, you spend all that money on the car and you're almost afraid to stop at traffic lights because it makes your car sound like a banger, the only solution to not make it sound like that would be putting my foot on the clutch, which would in turn make it even worse in the long run. Is this covered under warranty? The car has 15,000 miles on it! I love the car but I'm not sure I'm prepared to go through a battle with a dealership, if the car wasn't under warranty I'd just undertake the work myself, but as it is it's the principal. Any advice and experience on the matter is much appreciated.
  5. I've been in an RX8 and wasn't impressed. Sat in a 350, loved it, drove one and had to have one! So 350.
  6. mmmm tape player haha, I wonder how they justify putting that in an 07 car! Still even if there are some nice double din units I'd still have to whack a sub in the boot which I really don't fancy. I suppose I really need to explore my options on this one.
  7. Thanks for moving the post to the relevant section. I don't have the Bose HU though. I suppose that does pose a problem. It's all well and good saying get an aftermarket HU but to be honest with you I quite like everything on my dash matching, sad as it may seem. I would rather an OEM install. So just to confirm I will need the Bose HU, and the wires definately aren't there already?
  8. Hi guys, I've had a good look around the forum and it's been a great eye opener! I may have missed this and I fully expect to be re-directed to the correct section, but as the title states I want to know how to fit the Bose sub and amp into a car that didn't come with one from the factory? I have the sub and the amp but before I go tearing apart my lovely new car I want to know, is the wiring present? And if not what do I need to get it all fitted? I love the system in there at the moment but I feel, especially after going in a mate's car that has the Bose sub, that I want the bass mine lacks. Thanks for any info in advance.
  9. The sunset orange one is a mate's, he's a car dealer and lives in Barry, you might have seen it advertised with Howe Motors, I don't think he's on here though. Porthcawl is a nice drive from Cardiff. You'll have to keep me in the loop with Nissans in the area as it's all new to me.
  10. well thanks for the warm welcome guys, as promised here's some pics, you'll have to excuse the fact they're not very good, we were using completely the wrong lense and it's been raining ever since I got the car so no chance to wash it, anyways pics do more talking than I can (mine's the facelift 07 one): I've had the car for 2 days and love it! I know it may be a little plain being completely standard but I was so very close to buying an E46 M3 but where's the fun in driving a car that everyone has, I think the 350 looks stunning out the box. I don't plan to do much to it mainly because it's still under warranty and I don't think much needs to be done, maybe a Nismo exhaust system? I look forward to getting acquainted with the 350 scene.
  11. Hi there guys, thought I'd find a good forum to join up to regarding the 350z. So hello! I just picked mine up on saturday it's an 07 UK car and I'm loving it! I've been a Honda man for the last 5 years or so and rather stupidly vowed I'd never go Nissan. How stupid Anyway I'll have to have a good look around the forum and get used to it. I'll post some pictures later on
