What year was it mate?

Since I finally got a bike licence I thought I would post in here and bump this thread back to the top, just because the weather's bad doesn't mean we can't talk bikes I'm after a bike, preferably want to buy one now as the prices are a little cheaper and I have the space to pop it away until the weather is better. I've been looking at R6s mainly. I want a bike I can use as a commuter (not my sole method of transport as I still have my A3 and my 370 is going nowhere) that will be a good first bike and something that will give me a laugh when needed. Any good recommendations? Whatever I look at I still find myself looking towards R6s, mainly 04-05 models (due to the prices they can be had at) but having never driven one I want an opinion of someone who has, are the older models worth a look?

Another biker in the midst! Be careful, most importantly gear up, with all the best you can get your hands on! If your looking for an r6 j&s have a deal on at the moment for 6999, unbeatable but they have sold like hot cakes, ran out of white only blue and black left now. The branch that are selling them is the new malden one, speak to simon in sales - You wont get a better price for a new r6, its actually less than some near new used r6's!!! That's a hell of a deal for a new R6! I think I'm going to go second hand first though although seriously tempted at that price. I hear you on the kit, so far I've only got the helmet and jacket so probably going to build up my kit first, possibly buy a bike now whilst the prices are a littler lower than in the spring and pop it in the garage. Part of me wants to hop on a bike now but the sensible part is telling me to build up my kit and wait until the weather starts getting nicer

It's quite thorough but I completely understand why. I completely disagree with the whole CBT thing though and so do the instructors funnily enough, allowing kids out on to the road after one day of training with no theory behind them is madness! I have a few bikes in mind, usual suspects R6 or CBR600RR. I might buy one now and pop it in the garage as prices are a little better this time of year.

It's a pass certificate for my Mod 2 bike test, I did direct access, started about a month ago flew through it all and didn't even get any faults in my Mod 2 test, I'm well pleased. Just in time for the good weather

Anyone know what's happened to Rubens? Nothing confirmed last time I checked. Glad about Di Resta, good decision by FI he's had a good rookie season as said and I think he has a lot more to offer.

I've had a couple of sets of Volks & seen numerous sets of Rotas - Its well worth the extra for a set of Volks, the ones that ChrisNI is selling atm are a bargain Hear hear! But lets not get in to a Rota vs Genuine debate I personally have only really considered 2 sets of wheels for the 370, maybe 3: Advan RS-Ds in matte black and TE37s in matte black. 20" and 19" respectively.

Must be doing alright then, midlife crisis car AND girlfriend, lol That was the first thing I noticed about that article thought that might be the trend until I realised it was simply that Americans can't change gear! I never got their whole column mounted lever, columns are for mounting indicators and windscreen wipers! By the way it was her car, not his, he has done even better than I thought.

Does it have the base as well mate? Apologies for the stupid question as you can clearly see what is broken! The mirror and everything else is fine so no problems there, what sort of money are you after mate?
