  1. Don't fancy taking the Jaaaaaag round? Even if just to say hi, be good to see ya Rich Would be a good track for the BMW get it booked.
  2. Nice thread Arran. Good account of your ownership. Car looks good, with some nice performance mods to go with it. Just need that cooler on now for longevity.
  3. I've just booked a trackday at Snetterton 300 on the 30th Sept, it would be nice to see some other Zeds there or just some other club members for company. If you don't want to drive, just come and say hello, you might even get a passenger ride. Its a novice trackday run by club MSV and is only £99 for the whole day. I've been to this before and it is really well run. Details can be found here: http://www.msvtrackd...?productid=2045 It says that you can't have done more than 3 previous trackdays, but they only ask the question, last time I went there was a wide mix of ability from first timers to obviously quite experienced trackday goers. However, everyone was sensible and it is very well marshaled. Snetterton is a great track for the Zed as it has a couple of long straights and a good mix of fast and slow corners. It is 3 miles long so if you want to drive round without encountering many other cars, you can as it can get quite spread out. It is in great condition and has LOTS OF RUN OFF ROOM if you get it wrong! Here is my post from last time I went. - http://www.350z-uk.c...rton-vid-added/ Come on guys, join me. It might be the last chance of the year in reasonable weather?
  4. I'm also an ex supra owner, so recognise your name from mkivsupra. Welcome to the club.
  5. Well done for getting the S/C fitted and (eventually) running! Have you had it mapped yet? Lovely looking car...and now got the beans to go with it.

    tyres?

To be honest, if I were you and couldn't afford the outlay of mpss all round I'd just get another pair of re050a and put them on. They are a very good tyre and you'd be matching all round.

    tyres?

Funny enough its in the........Tyres section .......right at the top. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/36637-mixing-tyres-and-why-you-really-shouldnt/
  8. Just catching up with this, Zed looks great Ian, nice and aggressive without being too OTT. However, you've got over-spray on your exhaust tips! Can't wait to see it with a nice set of wheels. (loving the ones you've posted, but as you say, that's some investment.)
  9. Welcome to the club. Its a step up from the fiesta eh?
  10. Do you have any links as I have a pressure bleeder not a vacuum one and was hoping to use it. Ah...maybe I'm thinking of vacuum bleeders that don't always work well, but either way, you cant go wrong with the two man method.
  11. +1 Usually works out approx + 30%
  12. As shown on the pic Alex posted, trolley jack on the rear diff at the rear and the front cross member at the front. I got a length of 4x4 and cut it into 4 ramps = plenty of room to get trolley jack under.
  13. As suggested, try the throttle body reset, maybe it needs a clean. You can also try cleaning the MAF. If your still having problems in a couple of weeks, or don't want to try the above yourself, your welcome to pop over and we'll have a look together. I think I've got a spare MAF you can try if need be.
  14. I'm not sure on fitment, but the Zed seems to prefer the old manual two person method of brake bleeding. There has been many threads over the years of people struggling to bleed the brakes properly using one man kits and pressure kits. Save your money and do it the old fashion way.

    tyres?

Ultimately, it is your decision. They are both good tyres, so its not like your putting budget tyres on one axle but bare in mind it will handle/grip differently to what your used to. Putting new MPSS on the front and leaving partially worn RE050As on the rear will make your car more likely to oversteer (rear end breaking loose) then your current set up, so if you do go for it, be prepared for the change. Read Dan's (Ekona) sticky thead for more info, it is very good and will help you understand. FYI - I have run mixed tyres for 3 years on my 442bhp Zed without issue. HOWEVER, I know that my front NEXEN are poor compared to the rear RE050A and drive accordingly. When the time comes to change I will be matching tyres all round.
